Apart from that, it features plenty of fitness classes, a well laid-out weight room and other recreational activities. I like this gym- I enjoyed using it as a student and have continued to utilize it off and on over the years as an alumna. Membership rates are by no means on the low-end of the spectrum like Planet Fitness, but alumni can join at a substantial discount. Day passes are also available. Current students and faculty/staff work out for free.

I was appalled because I had recently had total knee replacement and the worker had no empathy or regard as to the fact it was 2 minutes. It's people like this at the front desk that makes this world so discouraging. I definitely will pray for the older woman that she is never late and need some compassion from someone at the front desk.

However, 24 hour doesn't exist here but it was great. Planet Fitness, not so much. I didn't enjoy my workout which is a bummer. I tried another location and the vibe of the atmosphere just wasn't fitting for me. I thought I should try getting out and the gym was the only option since there isn't anything exciting to do in Michigan compared to California and the West Coast in general. I just started my membership but I'm going to cancel it. Sucks they can't do it via phone and I don't have the option in the app to cancel. I think they should change it just incase someone is out of town and can't get back to town due to any unforeseen circumstances. I was able to pause my 24 hour membership when I got stuck out of town a few years ago with an unexpected extended stay. I also thought they provided towels and the soap in the showers. I got there and was SOL when I went to shower.

The instructors are truly amazing. They are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. I've learned not to be disappointed in myself when I've have to take short breaks during the workout because the instructors make the environment so supportive. Pure Barre GB is truly a gem and I'm so blessed I found it!
