For dessert I ordered Cake de Piña, guayaba and tres leches. Here is my honest review.... I don't get the hype of this place. This is the second time I order and the food is never above average. I wanted to give it a second try. White rice- lacked softness, and salt. Red beans - watery, had no verdura, seasoning, or sofrito. It didn't taste like Habichuela Guisada and was watered down. Baked Chicken- lacked in flavor, had no seasoning, no oregano no salt. It was bland and lacked in taste. i also would have preferred it be cooked a little longer. Red Potato Salad - This was done greatly, i like how the red onions were diced small, and had the right consistency of mayo. thumbs up on this one! Arepita De Yuca - They are not bad but I have had better. They taste like over used oil, or old oil. However they are not terrible. Cake de Piña - was expecting that typical Dominican Cake with the pineapple inside and outside dominican frosting. Cake de Guayaba - I was expecting a little more. Cake de Dulce De Leche - I was expecting authentic Dominican Cake. Overall, this will be my last time eating from here this Dominican Restaurant is definitely not living up to the standards of Dominican Cuisine and it's over priced. I have had better in Paterson and NY.
