Fuego Me Up is at UC Irvine all of this week for their quarterly Vendor Fair. The portion sizes are huge! I ordered nachos both times - Bulgogi Pork first time, Chicken nachos second time - they don't skimp on the toppings! On a generous bed of yummy chips, you get a heaping dollop of nacho sauce, sour cream, your choice of protein ($0 to $2 extra), and pico de gallo. The bulgogi pork was tender, juicy, well-marinated. The chicken was plump, juicy and equally well-marinated. They really don't skimp on the toppings here. So far, I've eaten here twice - plan to stop by for dinner as well, and probably the rest of the week. Prices are awesome, considering the portion sizes! Service is friendly, prompt and efficient. Minimal wait time. Food tasted fresh. It's more of a vendor booth setting, so grab and go. They had a more limited menu today most likely due to the rain - but I was happy with their nachos anyway. I just tried this place in San Diego at the tet festival I'm very disappointed I had the garlic noodles with chicken. Service was good. I would recommend a different food tent if you come to the tet festival in SD. EDIT: The garlic noodles were SUPER dry & lacking flavor. read more

Very disappointed with the service. My order was taken incorrectly. I waited 20 minutes before they realized the cashier missed charging me for my son's quesadilla. After I paid for it, I wait another 15 minutes for the order to be ready. By the time my son's food was ready, my food was completely cold. I really, really wanted to like this place, since they've been at UC Irvine's Ring Road Vendor Fair so many times and seem popular, but each time I've ordered from here, I've gotten an unsatisfactory experience. First time: ordered a chicken quesadilla. Got the quesadilla.. without the chicken. That's $2-3 wasted. Second time: Ordered a chicken burrito with guac. No guac. Another $2 down the drain. Third time: Ordered a chicken quesadilla with guac. No guac, again. Yet another $2 wasted. Unless this place decides to actually give customers the things they order and pay money for, I won't be coming back. I'm just tipping you guys otherwise at this point. read more

When I took it back, she did apologize but did nothing to provide what I'd actually ordered, they just kept serving more people. Recently was at the Formula Drift night lights car meet. Fuego me up truck was there. After deciding which truck to go to my wife and I decided to eat from their truck. The service was questionable with the guy not really caring and had a rude tone. The price was a little pricy. I got the taco trio asada. My wife got the pollo taco trio. That was mine and my wife's last meal of the day. I woke up feeling fine. But my wife woke up with food poisoning. I'm pretty sure the pollo wasn't cooked long enough. I get that it was a big event but please for the sake of staying in business cook your food properly. We shouldn't be paying 40 bucks to get food poisoning. Unacceptable. read more

The meat was so hard. It looked fresh... but the tortillas and the meat was no where near fuego. It was also borderline salty. The asada was all rubber. I checked in for free Fresca drink and he said that sign is old and he cannot give any drinks. So that was another thing I didn't like, false advertisement.
