The Mango Tango taco (left), the Dr Pepper Cowboy (center), and my mom got the Sweet Caroline taco (in the back)

Fuego has been a consistent yea yes yes over the years. They are open 24/7 which is already bananas, and the food is really good! I love the Dr. pepper cowboy taco, and I also tried the mango shrimp taco this time. They are very filling so after eating those two and a few chips and salsa I was totally stuffed. We had also ordered their tortilla soup; we ended up taking it to go but it was still delicious the next day. The staff here are helpful and friendly too, and there's plenty of parking, pretty clean bathrooms, and plenty of tables to sit. I don't come to San Marcos much but this last time I went I definitely had to make a stop here on the way back to Austin :)

My friend Monica introduced me to Fuego when I visited her in College Station. I was excited when I finally got one closer to me in San Marcos. Delicious tacos with fun names. Definitely something for everyone here. Service is friendly and ambiance is very industrial.

What a great find. While heading up to the racetrack in San Marcos, we stopped by for a quick lunch. Fuego Grill does not disappoint. Located on I 35 just south of Texas State University, this location is super easy to get to. Open six days a week. Closed on Mondays. Great for groups. Order at the counter. Lots and lots of options. Check out the menu before you go just so you can be prepared. Staff was helpful and even suggested a few options. I chose the I-Cher-wa-wa with fried avocado on top. It was delicious. I can see this being a regular stop between San Antonio and Dallas. Yes, the tacos were that good. My husband chose a mango tango and magic mushroom taco. He enjoyed them also. Most drink options are Pepsi related. They do have a number of tea options also.

Found this Taco spot and it's open 24 hrs. We went in for lunch but decided to order from their all day breakfast menu. I got the chicken and waffles with a side of fries. It came win a tortilla, bacon, eggs, and waffles on each side. My husband got chorizo and eggs tacos and beans and cheese tacos. Not at all stingy with the portions what so ever. Very filling for sure. Well worth the drive.

Splitting one enormous, crunchy Campeche Fish Taco with toppings between two adults 22DEC24

Before the dinner hour on a Sunday night, I put in an order for pickup at Fuego. It was ready on time, smelled delicious, and the bags were pretty heavy for forty bucks. Mr R and I split a small tortilla soup with all the toppings and shared a carne guisada and a campeche fish taco. Everything was lovely and put life back into two tired adults who were looking at an early drive in the morning to find a mechanic and a rental car during a major American holiday. Fortunately that worked out for the best and so did this meal. The soup was pleasing with fresh, bright toppings. Guisada had good flavor and wasn't too salty. The fish taco was a buck less than the guisada and while the fish wasn't the most flavorsome, the breading is SO good and stays crunchy, the additional cabbage/pico topping so nice, and the fillings SO GENEROUS that I could happily have this as a weekly staple if my location and schedule were more amenable. The other half of my order was to carry us through the next day or longer. I had a contract after high noon and Mr R had to find a new-to-us EV mechanic in Austin so I ordered a pint of refried beans, a half pint of creamed corn, and a dozen flour tortillas. That was our early breakfast plus a couple tacos to take along for snacks/lunch. It worked out very well as we have 1/3 left in the fridge, we aren't nearly tired of them yet, and it proved both convenient and reasonably priced. Worked out so well I'll keep this in mind for future emergencies/road trips.

Decent fast service, I was expecting more Tex mex options but it's mostly tacos. They were big portions for the price. I had the fish taco wich was enormous and really good. They also all come in fresh tortillas so that's a plus. I forgot the other taco I had, but they all have fun names.

How does this place have 4 stars? If you like good food, please do not go here. We got there at 6pm and it was empty. There was no cashier as she was apparently taking a break or something. We ordered a variety of tacos, including their "popular" tacos. I also got a tortilla soup, which, thank goodness I did because it was the best thing I ate. It had a small kick of spice, some hearty veggies, and a well cooked chicken that was tender and had a flame charred taste. And then it went downhill from there. I got the fish taco, the shrimp taco, and a steak taco. It doesn't really matter what the name was because they were all pretty bad. The fish taco was the worst. Big chunk of fish that tasted undercooked and maybe going bad. The shrimp taco was forgettable except for whatever sweet sauce they lathered on it. The steak taco was the "best" of the bunch as the steak was tender and the combo of corn and potatoes, it was the closest thing to tex mex but still not great. I strongly recommend avoiding this spot as you're better off at a chain like Chuys.

Ehh food is okay. Similar to a Taco Cabana. Location is clean. Staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable.

Open 24x7!!!! Heck ya!!! Huge tacos! All fresh ingredients. A smaller chain currently only in college towns. But thinking about it, students are actually more picky and tight with funds. So Fuego is really trying harder. Walk up service with friendly staff and nice efficient super casual space. Great guac, fast service and HUUGGEE tacos. The Rock Star is amazing, the South Padre is delishhh. The Trippy Chicky is so good. Want shrimp? Check. Mango? Check. Bacon? Check check. We loved our visit and hope they expand further. Owners.. Hint come to Bastrop!! We need you!!

Food is really really good! Carbs Guisada is tender and big chunks. They are not selfish with the serving size. Rice and beans are really good. I just got the charro beans. Their service was awesome and really fast. The front registrar was very attentive. Restaurant is really clean as well I love the decorative lights. Must try out here. FYI no alcohol is served but it's worth the tacos. You need to try the Good Golly Miss Molly and Dr Pepper taco!

We love a fast food restaurant has finally gone after the gluten free, keto, celiac market. Their fryers are dedicated gluten free fryers, chicken nuggets, fries, tots, pickles and more. All of the burgers have optional gluten free buns or can be served in a lettuce wrap or bowl. No gluten free desserts and while they're clearly gluten conscious they don't not offer a gluten free beer or cider despite having eight taps and variety of canned alcoholic beverages. Guessing their upper management only has a partial clue about the GF market they're trying to tap into. Maybe they'll figure it out add some desserts AND some GF beer or cider. Burgers were good, fries both regular and sweet potato were great. Fresh ice tea. Good to go. Downloaded their app and got a free cheeseburger. Plenty of seating able to accommodate large groups, not noisy and fast friendly service. We will be back. Hope this chain grows in larger communities where more people with gluten allergies will offer a larger market better able to support a still niche business concept.

You order at the counter and the staff brings your order to you. I was driving down the interstate furniture road and I gazed my eyes to the right only to be delighted by the site of a brand new Shake shack. I pulled into the parking lot, which was set up kind of odd. We need to get in contact maybe with the civil engineers who designed this parking lot as I'll give them a piece of my mind however, I was able to find parking pretty quickly. After parking, I walked up to the store as you walk in. It smells like a new house. The building is very clean. The interior is well maintained, though it has been open for a short amount of time to my understanding. One of my biggest pet peeves in today's world is the order yourself kiosks and if you don't like these, do not come here because that's all they have. My biggest frustration with these is that they ask for a tip now why would I tip a computer? The computer didn't do anything for me? Is this tip going towards AI funding? Is this tip gonna contribute to the mass global AI infrastructure building process?? I'm not sure but I do not like them. As I was ordering my food, someone who seemed like a manager came up to me and asked me if I needed assistance. I really appreciated that though I did not need assistance. We ordered our food $47.98 later!! oh my goodness talk about a overpriced hamburger!! after receiving our food I was somewhat disappointed that they do not have a self serve fountain machine because after some extensive research, I found that the operating cost of a self service vending machine machine soda dispensing machine is not that pricey . We received our food. The food was tasty though I was lacking some of my additional onion rings which I added for $1.49 something like that. It only came with like three tiny onion rings. The bacon was tasty. The french fries with the bacon was OK it's kind of heavy. I had to look for a restroom pretty quickly after visiting this establishment. That's typically a good sign though because I ate all my food. It just sat in my belly a little bit crooked. All in all food was pretty tasty. The soda pop was pretty good. The fries were pretty good. I would recommend this place if you're looking to pay a lot for a hamburger, but if you're not in and out is a better choice As always, thank you so kindly and so deeply for reading my very thick review. I hope you have a beautiful day. Today is Saturday so if you're reading this on Saturday, I hope you have a great Saturday. Thank you so much. Have a good day.
