The bar has a really cool vibe - old storefront with windows that open to the beer garden. Plenty of outdoor seating, food truck, and live music. We took a peek in the dance hall - smaller than Gruene or Mercer but looks like a fun place for a night out with friends! Definitely check out their upcoming shows to see who is playing (so far most of the music lineups are just for the beer garden). The bathrooms are outside and were clean at first but got dirty quickly. They desperately need to refill the soap dispensers! Mason is only about 20 miles from Brady so it's the closest place to catch a current release. They show one movie a week, typically one showing a day on Thurs-Mon. They also do some special shows and music acts when they can. You don't have to bring your own chairs anymore as there are comfortable sliding theater seats, and the AC works great on a warm Texas summer day. I saw that they want to raise money to get nice curtaining for it next, with greater ambitions leading to putting a balcony with more seating in later. Please consider giving them your support!

When the DJ used the phrase "your people," it was clearly exclusionary. When he said, "If I only play Latino music, then the others will leave," it positioned our presence as a problem and created a sense of unwelcome. The situation escalated further when our group was asked to leave -- not for being disruptive, but simply for disagreeing with the music -- while the DJ referred to us as "you and your fucking people." That is not only unprofessional, but also deeply offensive and humiliating. Even your comment about "staying in your own lane" implies exclusion. Why? Because we voiced our disagreement? Because we stood up for ourselves and asked to celebrate Latino culture on a night that was specifically promoted as Latino Night? You've suggested this issue only occurred because your regular DJ wasn't present, but this behavior reflects a broader, ongoing pattern.
