Nice selection. Professional looking shop. Went in because of an ad for a scooter i saw on craigslist for $1025. I went with the money in hand ready to buy. When i walked in i was finally acknowledged after one worker decided to look up from his computer. From there it went down hill. I told told him about the scooter i was interested in and asked for a test drive. I was laughed at and treated as if asking that question was unheard of. I wanted to test drive the scooter i was going to purchase and instead, once he found out i was more serious about it he said "I guess you can test a vino?". I was there to purchase and teat drive a kymco 125 and he offered to let me test a vino 50 instead, how does that make ANY sense? Goes even further downhill from there. I told him about the price it was listed at and he, once again, laughed in my face like i had no clue what i was talking about so i showed him the listing on craigslist and he was silent after that. He gad no clue what to say so he said "that cant be right, I'm going to go check pn my computer fast". He comes back after 30min to tell me that that craigslist post was false (even though it was posted BY THEM) and the best he can do is 1300 before taxes and registration. Not saying thats a bad price, but its a hell of a lot different than what they orginally posted. 2 hour drive from illinois, COMPLETE WASTE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

My wife and I were going to buy a motorcycle, so we thought we'd check out a local spot, since we live in town. My wife went down there to check out a bike that was listed for a decent price. After being there for hours, she found out they had an added freight charge, even though the bike was a "demo" and is actually 5 years old. Salesman wasn't bad, but the rest of the people were pretty rude and arrogant with my wife. They talked about how they could get her great financing, even though she didn't really need, but hey why not take a little extra time to pay if you can, right? Day of actually almost buying it, the sales guy says, they are financing at like 9%..She tells him that she's not buying a bike with 9% financing and says she's not going to finance for more than 5%, later they come back and say they can get her 4.75%...haha, just below where she wanted to be. These guys were pretty much worthless from the start, wouldn't let her test ride anything, weren't very friendly and didn't seem like they wanted our business, even though we are going to buy another bike next year. We ended up going to Team Winnebagoland in Oshkosh, the salesman was really happy to show us bikes for hours, let her test drive 3 of them and said she could test anything else she wanted. We ended up getting a bike from them, got financed at 2.75%, they were upfront about the possible fees, and did everything they could to get us the bike we wanted in the price we wanted to pay. Like I said before, we are buying another bike next year, and I won't even waste my time going to Fuel, I will be driving straight to Team Winnebagoland and getting another one from them. Honestly I wish Fuel was better, I'd love to keep our money in WB, but it truly feels like they don't actually want to sell you a bike, but want to treat you like they are doing you a favor while robbing you. We have another bike purchase in the near future and many other powersport purchases to come, none of which will happen at Fuel. read more

Well, I have to agree with the 4 out of 5 people who were disappointed in this dealership. They advertised a leftover 2016 motorcycle for $3,587 marked down from $4,399. Good deal right? I called, and asked about fees. Answer: $789. Okay, I haggled a bit and the best they would do is to take the fees down to $689. So I do the math; bike-cost plus fees plus taxes plus title and registration and come up with the out-the-door price of about $4,600. I call back and read this value out to him, and he says "You forgot something. The documentation fee". "How much is that?" I ask, expecting the usual $100 or so. $290 he says. So their total fees for a $3,587 motorcycle start at $789 plus $290 = $1,079. The fees are almost a third the cost of the bike! Not such a great deal after all, and a bit of a waste of my time. Maybe they have some other good aspects, like service, but their sales tactics leave much to be desired. I do not recommend these guys at all. read more

looks like the bait and switch is a common practice at this place. had the deal done on 2 snowmobiles, then got hit with their so called mandated extra charges of over a thousand dollars per machine. tried to get them to email a sales contract but that didn't happen. good thing I didn't drive there. oh by the way, they have been dumped by the better business bureau. check it out for yourself read more

You may think you're getting a fair deal, but when you add the enormous set-up and delivery fees @$648 per unit, and then pay a documentation fee of $180, think again. I just bought 2 new snowmobiles and a trailer, and by adding these fees to the price, it added $828 to the cost of each unit. Then after adding that, you pay sales tax on that whole amount. Needless to say, it wasn't that great of deal. I was even charged a extra fee to have my mailed registration stickers expedited. My God, my temporary reg. is good for 21 days, they don't need to be expedited. What a rip-off! And to top off everything else, it took over 3 hours of waiting, to get everything ready, so we could leave. The sales person told us everything would be ready when we got there, but my sled had to be picked up at a storage facility, and was not there yet, and still in the crate. Very poor management of a customers time, and I still had a 4 hour drive to get home. Shop around, and you'll find much better deals. I didn't until it was too late, but later found a dealer in Milwaukee that was $500 cheaper in price per unit, charged no set-up and delivery fees, and charged $90 for documentation fees. Screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice, shame on me. My bad, so really no one to blame but myself, for not shopping around a little, and checking Ebay. read more

RUN!!! DON"T BUY FROM THESE LIARS!!!! So my story is much like the rest of the other reviews, the only difference is the blatant lying and deceit! I contacted a salesman about a Victory Magnum I saw listed on their website. The price was good and after speaking with the salesman he made me feel like I was going to be able to get a great deal. I had already completed the online trade appraisal, from Fuel Powersports own website. The salesman stated the quoted price for trade-in was accurate and that they would pay it. The salesman also stated the listed price for the Victory Magnum was also negotiable. I complete everything for financing prior to arriving at the dealership and advise them I would be there first thing on Friday morning, because I worked that evening. I make the 8 hour drive from Ohio and arrive at the dealership at 9:01 AM (they opened at 9). I meet the salesman and we get to the process of making a deal. The trade-in quote was $4310, but they come back stating they will now offer me $2500 for my 2 year old bike with just over 4000 miles on it. They finally agree to come up to $4000 for trade-in, even though I was told over the phone they would pay me $4310. So i chalk it up and say its just $300 difference so oh well. So then I try to negotiate the "negotiable" price on the Victory. I am told by the sales manager the price is non-negotiable!! I just drove 8 hours to make a deal and was lied to about everything so far...... Finally the sales manager agrees he would cover the cost of a passenger back rest for my wife, but that is all the movement they would make on the Victory. I agree to the deal, because I had driven 8 hours and obviously didn't want to turn around and go home without the Victory. So during the signing of the paperwork with the finance manager he tells me he was able to get things to work out where a drivers back rest was included in the deal. I think awesome!! We sign everything and I leave for home with my new bike. After I arrive home and start looking over the paperwork, which I should have done during the signing of things but I believed what I had been told. The outrageous Dealer fee of $789 was now $1263 on the paperwork I signed that went to the bank for the loan. However the paperwork I was provided to give to my local BMV for the taxable amount had the $789 fee attached. Amazingly the extra $474 somehow equals the exact same amount of the "covered" back rests that the sales manager stated he would cover the cost on. So not only did I pay an outrageous dealer fee of $789, I also purchased the $474 back rests which were "covered", the price of the "negotiable" Victory stayed the same, and the "agreed value" for my trade in was $310 less then it was supposed to be. On top of that they also added $180 for other misc. fees!!! AND the whole response from "THE OWNER" in the comments below about charges not being charged to OUT OF STATE BUYERS is complete bologna as well. On top of all of this the mis-management of time at this place is unreal. I had everything sent in prior to my arrival at the store, but I was asked again to provide everything again upon arrival. So a deal that should have taken less then an hour to complete took over 3.5 hours to complete and as a result I was late for work! Its a shame there are people out there like this taking advantage of people! On the website this place looks like a good deal to buy from, but that is so far from the truth its funny. If you like being lied to and not getting what is promised to you then I would recommend buying from these thieves!! read more
