My husband recently passed away and 5 days later I suffered a serious ankle fracture that required surgery and a 2-month recovery. I was finally cleared to drive 2 days ago. Just prior to my husband's passing, he noticed a tire pressure warning light but he was unable to fix it or get to Fuerst for help. Today I drove our car for the first time since my husband died. I drove to Fuerst and with my cane hobbled to the front door to find that it was closed. As I got into my car to leave, Mike came out the front door to ask what kind of help I needed. I was in tears due to circumstances, apologized and explained. Mike offered condolences and even though they were closed, he told me to pull up and he would check my tires. Mike was so gracious, patient and kind. He properly inflated all 4 tires and said if the warning light returns to come back on Monday. As a family owned business, Fuerst Automotive continues to prove how much it values its customers and cares about the community. Mike is a prime example of that excellence. I don't know of many businesses that would've reached out when closed to help someone during a difficult time. I wish I could give Fuerst 10 stars because they deserve it. While I'm not related to the owner or anyone who works there, they still feel like family because that's how they treat me, and there's no doubt in my mind they'll treat you the same way. I took my 2010 Toyota RAV4 for alignment. After I received back it had a terrible vibration/shake coming rear. I returned they said I need a new driveshaft for around $1100.00. i said I can't afford that and it never had that problem til after a got it back. They informed they just did alignment. They said it also needed front brakes. I said I know about them. I was very unhappy. I decided not to continue with them, I can't get stressed. I'm done with them. I'm still having alignment issues. So I'll take to Metro Toyota to remedy the issue. read more

Said I needed a new oil pan to the tune of 950$ in parts and labor. I took my car to 2 other places (Dealer included as well as another indy shop) and they both looked at me like I was nuts when I told them someone said I needed an oil pan. Told me "I wouldnt go back to whoever told you that, your oil pan is fine" I went there once for an oil change only because I had a coupon, but I will never go back, felt like they were saying my car needed work it really didnt need. Also my wife went too and they tried saying her car needed struts and they were fine too! Beware! read more

I am totally surprised at the professional service from the whole team at Fuerst Automotive. I made an inquiry on brakes and within a day I had a quote via email. It was extremely reasonable. Then in a phone call, everything was reviewed, I set an appointment, dropped the car off and they were done in by 3 PM. When I picked it up Amanda went over the bill they drove my car up to the front door and I was done. When I looked at the bill at home, Amanda had put their card and a bonus of a scratch-off lottery card. I didn't win anything, but that little bonus was great. Now, a week later, Amanda called to ask about the brake job and their service. This is the old fashioned way to treat customers - great service, fair pricing, and professional work. I would avoid Fuerst at all cost. Not worth the hassle of dealing with these people. First, if you schedule an appointment online you are wasting your time. It will schedule an appointment and say they are going to call and confirm with you and then nothing ever happens and then when you show up they of course don't have your appointment and you are SOL. Second, if you have a foreign can I would really avoid them because the odds are pretty good they won't be able to do your service. My daughter has a 2014 BMW 325, pretty standard right? Once the appoitment was rescheduled (see above) she shows up and they tell her they don't have the right oil and can't do the service. They'd known for three weeks what the car was. she had to drive 20 min (twice - see above) and waste her time both times. they were completely unapologetic about any of it. Not worth the effort to deal with these people. If you have a foreign car, even a basic one just go to Galati and save yourself trouble if you don't want to go to dealer. This has been my experience: I've gone to them nine times with two different cars (I counted the receipts) - both American cars. Five of the nine times, I had to return because something was wrong with the job. Two of the nine times, I had to return more than once. They didn't charge me for the additional work and they didn't argue with me....therefore I gave them 2 starts (ok this part is subjective). The last time they quoted me about $950 for some work. I thought that was really expensive, so I went to the dealer (yes the new car dealership) and they performed the work for $400. I haven't had to go back = the dealer did the job right. Although I've only heard really good things about them, I haven't (unfortunately) shared that experience. read more

My dad likes them, so I do too. I recently got some work done and they seemed honest and fair in their pricing. They did however leave an air bubble in one of the lines going to my heater. That is no fun for the winter. My dad brought it back up to them (as I fear mechanics) and they fixed it immediately free of charge. Good customer service there. read more

After coming back from a very long drive to Florida and back, our family's only car was making some very funky noises. That grinding noise that screams "your brakes are bad!" with every stop. You know the type, I'm sure. Since it *is* our only car, we needed it fixed right away. Fuerst was able to take the car immediately when I brought it in and was more than willing to have someone drive me home. They called me exactly when they promised - confirming yes the brakes were caput - and fixed it the same day. I wasn't able to get there that evening so they offered to have someone come pick me up the next morning, which seemed like it would work perfectly. Low and behold, a surprise snowstorm hit that night, school was cancelled and I had no one who could watch my kids while they took me to get the car. So what did they do? They brought it to my driveway for me. I'm very impressed with the service I received and was happy they didn't try to tack on a bunch of other things that 'needed' to be done just because they could. I would highly recommend this auto shop for their professionalism and convenience. It was also a relief to not be talked down to as a woman bringing a car in to be fixed, as has often been the case elsewhere. read more
