The one thing I've never seen before was how they drain the oil. They actually suck the oil up through the fill tube. I asked why. And was told it actually makes it easier and prevents problems with the drain pan bolt. I can see that. And to be honest. These oil change quick places do have a bad reputation. We've both been taking our cars here for years and it is such a good feeling to go to a place that is so well managed, cheap, friendly, efficient, etc. They never push you to buy more. They do all the little extras too like WD40 the door hinges, air up the tires, etc. And number one - they are fast. You don't even have to get out of your car. I needed a new air filter so they told me it would be $17 after looking up a replacement just like the one I had. Then ended up they don't make that exact one anymore but it had been in the system. So they gave me one worth twice as much for the same price they had originally told me. There's a couple ladies who are usually there working too so I think that's cool.

I took my car last Thursday to the Take 5 on Broadview Rd, in Broadview Hts Ohio for a simple oil change. The mechanic told me I need coolant added. I said OK because I was trusting and figured he wouldn't take advantage of an olderly women. I am 72 by the way. So, after agreeing to this service at the cost of $145.99 ,I woke up the next morning to find coolant all over my garage floor. I immediately took my car by the Take 5 and after examining my car he said that he had damaged a gasket while putting the coolant in and could not fix and directed me to call corporate after he called his boss. This happened April 23rd So, I did that and was told someone would get back to me in 4-6. What, 4-6 days, totally unacceptable! She said ,nothing else I could do. You mean to tell me that Take 5 has that many claims against them that it would take that long, with no one to talk to about a rental car or anything. In my frustration and research I was able to find out the district manager in charge of my case so I emailed him multiply times I still have heard nothing. Meanwhile my car is sitting in the driveway leaking coolant and I am not supposed to drive it. This the worst company and customer service I have ever come in to contact with. Do not go to any Take 5 Oil's !! I really hope the CEO of Take 5 who I think is this Marc Graham as well as Danny Rivera who owns Driven Brands who owns Take 5 all read this and make some changes. Your guys run a lousy business and should be ashamed of yourself for treating your customers in this way. I should have heard back immediately from someone,at least to acknowledge what your own mechanic admitted to. I have to give a big shout out to Conrad's Lakewood location. I was in Lakewood and somehow hit…read morethe curb hard with the front of my car. The front of the car got pushed in and I noticed that the radiator was leaking, so I managed to drive it to the nearby Conrad's on Detroit. First off the only manager was nearly overwhelmed with people coming in and the phone ringing off the hook, yet he never lost his cool and managed to keep getting people taken care of. I left the car with them, went to get some late lunch and then was about to head back to Beachwood since I expected that they wouldn't get to the car until the next day. Just before I got on the bus, I got a call from Conrad's letting me know that the car was damaged beyond their ability to repair; they recommended that it needed to go to a body shop and suggested a body shop a block away. I got back to pick up the car, no charge and the technician had already called the body shop to let them know I was coming. Overall an excellent job that made a difficult situation much more manageable. I really appreciate the help and the consideration. Thank you.

Unfortunately, over the last several years, there has been a significant increase in cancellations and rescheduling of my appointments that I specifically make a week or two out to make sure I'm scheduled. Today was my fifth cancellation from them over the last two years. Furthermore, the last service I was there for included tire rotations, I marked my tires to be sure they were indeed rotating them (assuming they were not doing that), and I found they were not honest and in fact did not rotate the tires as I suspected. Rather they continued to lie and tell me they did. When I showed them the markings on the tire, they apologized. Bad customer service and do not recommend them anymore and will find a new place for oil changes.

Repair cost will be around $1,800. The guy I talked to on Saturday told me the manager wasn't there to come back on Monday when he will be in. I took time off from work on Monday so I could meet the manager to see what Midas was going to do to repair the damage so I would not have to get a lawyer or the BBB office involved in order to have the repair cost paid for by Midas. Manager was not in on Monday so I went back on Wednesday and the guy I spoke to on Saturday was there. I asked that guy to call his manager for me and then he tells me he was the manager, but on Saturday he said he wasn't the manager so he lied to me about that on Saturday. He took pictures of the damage, but so far Midas has not called yet to take care of the damage repair cost for my car his employee caused by lifting my car up the wrong way! Then what used to be free when getting an oil change, now cost $33.95, then they charged me $4 to top off my windshield wash fluid that I just completely filled myself 3 days before!! I Midas does not contact me by today to have my car fixed I'm reporting the damage to my insurance company so they go after Midas for repair cost, plus calling the BBB office to file a complaint against Midas Muffler! Been going there for years but now it's under new Management and it's not worth going there for oil changes no more. My most recent visit was especially great: I brought my sons's car in, and LTP was able to help him obtain an E-check waiver. LTP noticed that the Left Rear Control Arm was failing. When Rich called to inform me, I chose to put it off. After I paid for the services performed, Rich informed me that "the Control Arm was still under warranty," and they replaced it free of charge, as it was a safety issue. It was initially…read morea Marathon station when I first came to know it, and that was as a child whose single mom needed a place she could take her piece of crap used car(s) when she needed something fixed. She was the definition of the working poor. She trusted GT Brothers. Fast forward 30+ years and I took my car to Brian Toth, the owner of the place (he's been there 45 years himself!) on the recommendation of good friends. They told me stories of Brian's customer service, not something you always associate with an auto mechanic. They believed he was fair and honest. I couldn't agree more. I thought my car needed brakes. Brian called me and said I didn't, that I had a good 10-15k miles left on them. He rotated the tires and gave it an oil change. Less than 24 hours later I had my car back with the knowledge this is my new go-to for car repair. And Brian? He remembered my mom, actually pulled her first name out of thin air. Damn. She passed 5 years ago. That's amazing. They don't make places like this anymore.
