I've had FUFU n' Sauce before and have never left disappointed. This time was no different. I'm so happy to now know that they have a brick and mortar. Congrats!! Things to keep in mind that location parking is limited so be aware if you are in need of close parking in case of physical disabilities. The space inside is decorated uniquely and it feels very personal which is something I truly appreciated. There is not much seat space inside but LISTEN the food i tried today was soooo flavorful. I had the jollof and beef stew, plantains, and surprisingly my favorite thing was the BLACK EYED PEAS! YUMMMM! Wishing continued success to FUFU n' Sauce as they embark on their new physical space.

What started as a food truck that went viral during Covid has now become a hidden gem right in the heart of St. Louis. Fufu n Sauce is a true hole-in-the-wall spot serving homemade African cuisine, and it's one of those places where the flavors speak louder than the décor. Service is attentive also. The menu showcases authentic dishes made with care, scaling from small food truck orders all the way up to catering for 500 people. Out of everything I tried, the standouts were the egusi and jollof rice, paired with their hearty beef stew. The egusi is a rich tomato-based stew cooked with roasted pumpkin seeds and spinach - earthy, savory, and deeply comforting. The jollof rice is equally fantastic, prepared in a tomato-based sauce seasoned with West African curry that makes every bite vibrant and flavorful. We ended our meal with fried plantains and ice cream, the perfect sweet finish after a spice-filled meal. Everything was not only delicious but also felt wholesome and nourishing. If you're looking to experience bold, authentic African flavors in St. Louis, Fufu n Sauce is absolutely worth the visit. It may be a small, no-frills spot, but the food packs a punch and leaves you wanting to come back again and again.

You have to come check this place out if you wanna try some really great flavorful food! If you're in the market for trying something new and not something that you've had before in St. Louis this is a great place. The owner is so welcoming and so supportive and will take your time to talk to you if you have any questions. She really just wants to get This wonderful food out to the public. They also have catering available, which is really fantastic! Go ahead put the order in ahead of time and take it to your next party. Everybody is going to be in love with the different flavors than what you normally get with catering. Certainly a must try. The beverages are amazing. The food is great. It was all really tasty and fresh!

Very flavorful to match the very flavorful owner! The food and the cooks/owner that makes it is just lovely. Owner is welcoming and full of cheer. Restaurant is small but styled and enamored with African decor. Staple dishes like egusi, fufu and plantain! The black eyed pease are sooo good! New cuisine that is deserving of being relished over, enjoy! Recommended.

Run, don't walk, to try authentic cuisine from the best country in Africa (yes, I am biased), Togo. The food reminded me of home. I have no words to describe just how amazing the beans were or how delightful the juices were. Do yourself a favor and check out FUFU n' Sauce the next chance you get. The staff is friendly and open to answering all your questions. The owner is an absolute delight!

Where to even start! This was a fantastic experience. I was a part of the yelp elite group last evening and had a blast. The owner, Adjo, is such a vibrant woman ready to share her culture through dishes she grew up with back home in West Africa. The ambience is cozy and inviting. I would highly recommend the Black Eyed Peas and Plantains! Those were my absolute favorite. I'll also be needing that Ginger Tea by the gallon! Will be back soon.

We came to order to go. Service was friendly and quick. Menu was straight forward. It is a pick up/to go restaurant. Not a sit down and dine. Nicely decorated inside though ! We got egusi with fufu And a side of jollof rice . We also got the hibiscus tea and ginger drink. This is our first time having fufu and egusi and it was good. To me, fufu definitely had similarities to mashed potato but yet still different and distinct taste. The egusi was good too. I have nothing to compare it to but it was just okay. I've had jollof rice before from other places. Not sure if today's jollof rice was a bad batch or something but the moment we opened the container, the smell of cigarettes hit my nose. I still tasted it though and it tasted like I bit into a lit cigarette. It's also not like a smoky smell or taste either. It's literally exactly like the smell and taste of a burnt lit cigarette. But like I said maybe it was a bad batch today. But I have never had jollof rice that tasted and smelled like this one . Both drinks were really tasty though! Definitely recommend trying the drinks!

FUFU n' Sauce was at Earth Day Festival this year and my friends and I literally sat on a tree stump at Forest Park and passed the fufu and oxtail stew around and ate from the same plate. The meat was so tender and flavorful. This was my first time having fufu and oxtail stew and I was really impressed!

    Fufu Egusi

It was my first time ever trying fufu egusi and I don't know particularly what it was supposed to taste like, the flavor wasn't Super Bold and it kind of reminded me of lentil soup in the taste but I did like it. The lady at the counter was nice and helped me choose what sounded good. The price was pretty good for the big portion too.

    Beef Stew with Jollof Rice

Staff was super nice and helpful for my first time and the food was some of the best flavor i've ever tasted super filling and delicious!

Wow, what a great experience! The owner made special accommodations for us to dine in to celebrate my mother's birthday. Not only was the food excellent, the owners passion and energy while serving us made it that much better.

Fu Fu and Sauce is a cozy and small restaurant. It is decorated in African Art. There are tables, but you stand instead of sitting. The owner, you can hear her accent as she tells her story of how Fu Fu and Sauce was born. She prepared a limited menu for us Yelpers. The service was great. You are greeted with a smile. The owner is passionate about her introducing her Fu Fu and culture to St. Louis. Everything was appetizing. The food was great. I learned that she offers ox tails and lamb chops, too. I have to come back for oxtail and lambchops. The ginger pineapple was a bit strong for me. Our menu consisted of jollof rice, beef stew, fu fu, egusi soup, blackeyed peas, and plantains. I had a great time meeting, eating, and connecting with Yelpers. There is a parking lot in front. The lot is small. I had a banquet to attend. Therefore, I didn't want to get too full. This was my first time trying West African cuisine. It won't be my last. If you ever want to try authentic African cuisine or in the area, give them a try.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is enchanting, warm and friendly. The music is played at a perfect level for conversation. Our server respectfully welcomed our table of five as 'family.' How refreshing. We ordered five different dishes from the menu. I ordered the beef Suya Burger paired with the plantains. This burger is fabulous. Succulent pieces of highly seasoned hand chopped beef that is juicy piled high with fresh tomato and red onion slices. The spinach is sautéed and nicely seasoned. Then there's this spicy concoction of sauce topped on the burger. The first bite of the soft bun with all its goodness was so good. The plantains are sweet, soft and perfectly cooked. We also ordered Jerk Chicken wings, the Party Jollof Plate with goat, the Egusi Soup with pounded Yam, and Suya. The portions are very generous as we sampled each dish and my word was every dish was a unique taste explosion. Levels Nigerian cuisine is authentically delightful, spicy and most of all, a tasty experience.
