    Mac and cheese

Was walking around union station and saw this truck along with a few others. The workers were extremely nice and offered my dog some water and a small bacon treat. Decided to order from here and had the Mac and cheese. It was good, the pork on top was better and the bbq crispy crumbles made it. I would give this a 5 star rating but the chips my girlfriend got tasted burnt even though looking at them they were fine. I know some others mentioned issues with the chips and if that could get taken care of that would make this place a must try.

This is how much I like Farm Truk. I drove 20 minutes to a random neighborhood to get a burger. I actually first tried their food at Enterprise, which as far as I'm concerned is a hidden gem for us 300 level folks. Now, their truck doesn't have their delicious nachos (those and their tacos are among the best food options at EC), but they do have the brisket mac and the delicious burgers. That brisket Mac just might be the best option on their menu, but I've yet to eat anything I didn't really like here. During Covid, they've been stopping in random neighborhoods, but they've also made it to 9 mile in Affton. If you happen to run across these guys, I would highly recommend stopping by.

Order: Brisket Chipotle Cheddar Mac n Cheese w/ Green Onions | Apple Pie Omgomgomg I saw the Brisket Mac n Cheese on the menu, I saw the crazy long line & decided to brave it at the Fall Harvest Festival in Tower Grove Park and I am soooo glad I did!!! It was a revelation!!! Highly recommend if you stumble across this food truck to treat ya'self & probably toss in some Apple Pie too, cuz you're worth it! The gal who was taking orders was so sweet & on top of things! They're running a really wonderful business & I hope St. Louis gets to keep enjoying their gorgeous food forever & ever!!!

Had their brisket Mac and cheese when they were in Forest Park last weekend and it was awesome. Best food truck there in my opinion because they had big portions and restaurant quality food with great flavor! Lots of good options on the menu that weren't super basic: fried green tomatoes, burgers, tacos, etc. my friend got the tacos and loved them. Good prices and big plus- accept credit cards. Will be back when I see them next!!

I went to Florissant food truck night tonight and Farm Truk food truck was there. I had recently saw a pic of the soft shell crab BLT and it looked really good. I have never tasted crab so I thought this would be a good time to try. I paid $15 for this sandwich and it included some chips. The chips were very plain and could use a tad more salt. The sandwich came with an avocado spread but I requested the basil aioli instead since I don't like avocado. It should have came with onions on it but there were none on my sandwich and only one tomato slice. The toasted croissant was really good. I learned I'm not a fan of crab due to the fishy aftertaste.

Really nommy food and such kind staff! Highly recommend. Ordered online, was ready exactly on time, and everything was delicious! So easy to support local, small business when Farmtruk is behind the wheel!

Encountered this food truck at a festival and decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the burger. Was prepared quickly but still had good quality.

Waiter suggested getting the bread and snacks so we could decided to try it. Bread and butter were tasty and fresh. The snacks were good too! I also really enjoyed my non alcoholic drink (can't remember what it was called). This is a 4 course meal, including dessert so we had to pick one item from each category. I chose the carrots to start and they were yummy and flavorful! For my second course, I had the rabbit, it was good too, but my friend had the trout and I really enjoyed it. For the 3rd course, I had the spare ribs and they were amazing! I ended my meal with a rubarb dessert, which was tasty too! Overall great meal, and just the right amount of food! Tables were a little tight together, but the atmosphere here is good. Not too loud. The light behind my friend was flickering a bit, which was a little annoying, but def not enough to take away from the yumminess of my meal! Def plan to go back!

If you want to dine here make sure to book at least 1 month or 2 in advance. This is a tasting menu style so you will pay $75 for 4 courses, which is not bad in my opinion. There are snacks options for a small additional fare. I highly recommend ordering the snacks since the courses are in small portions. I got the 4-way appetizers and my favorites were the Onion Jam and Fava Goat Cheese and the Liver Corn cookie. They were definitely the stars of the night. I tried almost all the options for the courses. My recommendation would be White Asparagus Soup, Lamb and Garlic, Fresh Cheese Dumplings, Roast Chicken and Lemon Semifreddo. The vibe here is nice. Perfect for date nights. I knocked off a star because I wasn't blown away by some of the dishes.

Their patio is fantastic when the weather is nice and creates a charming, upscale atmosphere. Our server, was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations throughout the meal. You can tell the owner and chef take pride in creating a memorable dining experience. We started with the garlic herb fries, which were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I also ordered the classic Caesar salad, and it was authentic, fresh, and perfectly executed. For my entrée, I chose the strip steak, and it was outstanding--easily one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. The cook was flawless, the flavor was incredible, and every bite showcased the chef's attention to detail. Overall, this was a 10/10 dining experience, and I can't wait to return.

The parking lot had spaces available. We walked in and there was an event space on the right and a large sofa and chairs against the back wall. Signs indicated where to go for Bellwether so we went around the windows showing the climbing wall to the elevator. Upstairs we were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for inside and she led us down one level to the second floor. I think the building is really cool, and the restaurant is well appointed, exposed brick, cool lantern hanging lamps, bookshelves filled with books and odds and ends, Waitress was friendly, there were only a couple of tables on the floor, but she wasn't intrusive and let us take out time. It filled up more by the time we left. The menu had several things I wanted to order but ended up deciding on the breakfast fried rice. We also ordered the cinnamon roll for the table. Coffee was hot and kept refilled, but it was just ok. The cinnamon roll was tasty. The fried rice was great and the fried egg on top was well cooked and tasty. One of our party ordered a side of sausage, it was four links and they were good, another ordered the pork belly sandwich and that was one of my other choices, I tried it and was impressed! I thought it would be too sweet, but it was perfect. Viewing the pictures of dinner, can't wait to go back for that and sitting outside!

I literally live a 4 minute walk from here and have no idea why it took me this long to check it…read moreout. I took my boyfriend here last night for his 24th birthday celebration, and boy did it exceed every expectation. When we first arrived, we were taken aback by the waterfall feature at the front door. We genuinely thought we were at the wrong entrance. Turns out it was entirely intentional, and in the excitement of the evening, we forgot to ask about the story behind it. A fun little mystery to solve on our next visit. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were welcomed warmly from the moment we walked in. The staff gave us a lovely intimate table with a great view of the restaurant's eclectic decor and designs. The ambiance struck the perfect balance, lively and engaging without being so loud that we could not have a real conversation, which for my partner and me is genuinely one of the most important aspects of a dining experience. Since we both work incredibly busy schedules, this was not only a birthday celebration but our first proper date night in quite a while, and the atmosphere made it feel truly special. The staff even surprised us with a complimentary prosecco for the birthday, something we were absolutely not expecting and deeply appreciated. On the drinks side, although I am not personally a big drinker, my boyfriend loves exploring new spirits and cocktail combinations. The bartenders were fantastic: knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely enthusiastic about their recommendations across both wines and spirits. They made the whole experience feel curated rather than transactional. Now, let me tell you about Jelly. Our server Jelly was, without question, the highlight of the entire evening, and that is saying a lot given how spectacular everything else was. I have a severe pineapple allergy, and if you dine out with food allergies, you know the usual routine. The server writes it down, maybe glances at it when the food arrives, and you spend the whole meal quietly hoping for the best. Jelly was on an entirely different level. She went completely above and beyond, meticulously checking every food option and wine pairing to ensure nothing contained pineapple and that there was zero risk of cross contamination. When a wine bottle did not clearly list its ingredients, she did not guess or assume. She looked it up on the internet right then and there to confirm it was safe for me. That gesture might sound simple, but for someone with a severe allergy, it is everything. It communicates that she genuinely cared about my wellbeing, not just about getting through her tables for the night. I felt completely taken care of, safe, and able to relax and enjoy myself without the anxiety that usually accompanies dining out with an allergy. Jelly, if you ever read this: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are exceptional at what you do and an absolute asset to Blood & Sand. And now, the food, which was nothing short of breathtaking. From the presentation, to the pacing and timing, to the extraordinary depth of flavor on every plate, the food at Blood & Sand is spectacular and amazing in the truest sense of both words. My boyfriend and I had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. We had originally hoped for the 10 course, but it was not being offered that evening. No matter, because the 5 course delivered more than enough to leave us completely floored. The evening opened with a palate initiator of carrots, goat cheese, and walnuts. I will be honest, I was not excited. Carrots and goat cheese are genuinely two of my least favorite foods on the planet. But I gave it a try and it was absolutely heavenly. A perfect encapsulation of what this kitchen does: it takes ingredients you think you know and transforms them into something you cannot stop thinking about. My absolute favorites of the evening were the tuna carpaccio, the wagyu flank steak, and the pierogis. Each one was cooked and composed to perfection. Everything melted in my mouth and left me wishing the courses would never end. My one constructive note is on the oyster course. I love oysters and eat them often, so I was genuinely looking forward to this one. The portion, two very small oysters with modest accompaniments of horseradish, a small salsa, and lemon, felt a little light even by tasting menu standards. I would love to see either four oysters at that size or two larger ones. It was gone so quickly and felt slightly out of step with the generosity of every other course. That small note aside, Blood & Sand delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I have had in a long time. Every single person on that floor, from the bartenders to the host to the incredible Jelly, went above and beyond to make the night comfortable, fun, intimate, and genuinely special. We will absolutely be back, and next time I will not wait so long given that I practically live next door.

The music was SUPER loud at the bar; I expressed that and they adjusted the sound, which was nice! The actual space is BEAUTIFUL. Old building, but elevated decor. PERFECT for date night or girls' night. The bathroom is gorgeous and clean; there's a huge, gorgeous mirror right outside for you to take pics in. See below, lol. I told the bartender what brought me in and he congratulated me. Very kind! He helped guide me through the menu and informed me of the 5 & 10 course options. I decided to go with a la carte items. The menu had a lot of upscale items, that I would prob never try, i.e. frog legs & caviar, or items I'm allergic to, lol. I started with the dead leaves and the dirty ground for my drink. We sat outside , our server was wonderful and they were so helpful and accommodating. First I ordered the Dive Bar Coffee which just wasn't for me so i got the Dottie (with the good crunchy ice) instead and it was wonderful! My date got the baked eggs and loved it as well (they make their bread so will be back just to have bread). We also got the ButterScotch Budino for dessert. As someone who isn't a fan of pudding , this was goooooood. Salty, sweet and crumbling that cookie into it (per their suggestion), worth it. A small plates restaurant that felt a little Italian. We make reservations and show up to this place that looks like a neighborhood pub. Quaint, in the corner, inviting light shining through medium sized windows. Inside, the vibes were a hybrid of someone's very nice dining room and an old western saloon. I know that's almost nonsensical, but the vibes were good. We felt right at home. Service was spot on. The server was very nice and new the menu pretty well. The food came out tapas style, so when something was ready, it just came right out. I like that. I like the periods where there are so many plates on the table at one time that it's overwhelming. What's what eating is all about. As for the food itself, it was good. I'll give a little blurb on each thing, as not to wear out your eyeballs. Crispy Artichokes (sauce au vert). These were fun and nice and crispy. Don't see artichokes like these very often. The sauce was a little weak, though. Didn't exactly go well with these fried little morsels. 'Nduja Croquetas (bomba rice, spicy prosciutto, fontina, grenada pepper aioli). Wow, now these little flavor bombs cannot be missed. Spicy sausage arancinis with a nice peppery aioli to dip. An intensely flavorful little dish that I loved. Can't find it on the menu, maybe it was seasonal, maybe it was a special, but we had a bone marrow French onion soup that was nice. The soup was good good. Very well developed flavors. The marrow bone was a little sloppy, though, and we got a transverse cut of bone, leaving very little marrow to access. Next were the Mussels (green garlic broth, Spanish vermouth, pickled peppers, spring onions, grilled LF bread). Very well cooked mussels, sitting in a lovely broth to dip your bread in. Ask for extra bread. But do not ask for extra of that sauce. That was really bad sauce. Sauce work seems to be this place's only weak point. Probably the biggest dish of the night, the Bolognese Bianco (Newman Farms pork & mushroom bolognese, bucatini, gremolata, parmigiano reggiano). This was a really nice pasta dish! Love those big, thicc bucatini noodles. Flavorful bolognese, great texture from the gremolata, and just cheesy enough to make this probably the most complete dish of the night. Then finally the Sea Scallops (ramp soubise, morel mushrooms, house-cured pancetta). Scallops were scored and cooked to look like fine art. Light scallops paired with nice umami from the morels and the pancetta, all tied together by that nice soubise. You don't see that very often either. We ended the meal with a Sticky Toffee Pudding (apple & date cake, apple brandy toffee, crème chantilly, marcona almond tuile). Chef's kiss. Such a delicate sponge with a nice date flavor. Then boom, the sweet boozy toffee, the creamy chantilly, the texture from the tuile. Every element helped make this a great dessert to end a great meal. Overall, another very pleasant surprise. This was a very good dinner, and I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in St. Louis again.

Advertisements online talked about "rolling out the red carpet" for mom, including receiving a glass of champagne, a hand-selected personal gift from the team, and a special Art Deco Goddess coloring sheet for the kids. However, our Mother's Day experience was not special at all. I went with my husband, 2 young kids, and my mother. When the waitress greeted us, she wasn't very friendly and didn't even say Happy Mother's Day when there was 2 mothers at the table. She didn't mention anything about the free champagne...we had to ask for it. We did not receive a hand-selected personal gift. There was also no special coloring sheet for the kids - we were just coloring on the kids menu. Nothing about our experience was special. Next year, I will pick somewhere else to go for Mother's Day. I felt more like a burden here than someone to be celebrated. The food was still decent. I got the pesto chicken sandwich with the bird seed salad. The bird seed salad was the star. Loved the poppyseed vinaigrette dressing and the bruleed apple slice (never seen that before - how unique and cool!). The pesto sandwich was a bit difficult to eat - while the chicken was moist, the bread was very crusty and dry which made the overall sandwich very dry. It was kinda hard to get through. I ended up taking it home and reheating it in the microwave and it was a little better after doing that because it allowed the pesto to soak into the bread and moisten it up a bit. I ordered a scoop of Zanzibar chocolate ice cream with hot fudge and this was truly amazing. The kids menu could definitely use some work - seems more like an after thought. It isn't even posted online to view in advance. I can't remember all the choices, but it was limited. I remember 2 different peanut butter sandwiches available, Mac and cheese, and a "pizza" on focaccia type bread. I put pizza in quotes because most kids I know are picky and this isn't a traditional pizza so we couldn't order this because our kids probably wouldnt eat it especially if the bread on the pizza was as dry and crusty as it was on my pesto sandwich. We ended up ordering the Mac and cheese, which was actually really good and the kids liked it. Just wish there were more options. What was really disappointing though is they served apple slices on the plate with the core still in it...serving apple core to a child is a safety hazard and just plain lazy.
