Ackee and saltfish with collard greens and fried plantains in lower dish. Escovich fish with mac'n'cheese and rice and peas on upper dish.

The collard greens obviously have either smoked turkey neck or ham hock in em that give it a nice pleasantly smoky flavor. The ackee and salt fish is superbly done and to the spice level your request. Beautiful texture on it. The ackee is tender but not mushy. The caramelization on the plantains is nice. The Mac n cheese is solid. The escovich fish if phenomenal. The crisp and seasoning on it is superb. I highly recommend getting it spicy as they put a little hot sauce in the batter that way. The rice and peas is a good standby as well. Super sweet two ladies working and your dish is prepared to order so expect to wait a little bit, but it is well worth the wait.

Caribbean Soul is a small neighborhood hole in the wall restaurant in the Carondelet Patch neighborhood. Not much ambience and there's a little confusion about what comes with sides and what doesn't, but the food is yummy. The chicken curry is delicious and the cabbage has so much flavor. They were out of yams , plantains and bananas, but we enjoyed the food. Recommend.

But it's all good and we all smile through. Took my brother Sunday night while he was in town cause he lives in a less diverse area and craves city access to all the thing. As soon as he said let's get Jamaican I began craving a meat pie. Have mercy I love them! They ain't playing with the spice either so I keep drinks handy. Ended up ordering one meat pie and a bowl of the soup of the day. It was red bean soup he said. But wow the depth of flavors and textures, it should get a better name! Love it and happily ate it all! The meat pie took longer of course to come out and they weren't kidding it was hot! Loved it and shared a tiny bite (cut off) with bro whose eyebrows lifted in joy. He had the jerk chicken plate and ate every dang bit! I have had wings, goat curry, jerk chicken, curry chicken, rum punch and lots more on other visits and had always left happy & full. The folks who work here are good folks and enjoy seeing others enjoy the food they prepare. On nice days there are a few tables out front, good to sit there except at rush hour cause you are next to the street. They do a lot of to go service so you will see a steady stream of folks in and out.

We ordered at the counter and were greeted by a gentleman who explained the process and promptly brought our drinks to the table. One of the kitchen staff brought all our items and told us what everything was. The food was great. Some items had amazing flavor, and other items were bland by design. Loved the laid back Caribbean vibe. We will go back. For the Owner... did not see coffee on the menu. If you have Cuban Coffee I would swing by a couple times a week. Great Place, Highly recommend.

Not sure that it makes sense with the food, but some fun stuff to look at! You order at the bar and get a number for your table. Food is brought to you. Silverware is on the tables, but napkins and water are at a station at one end of the dining room, so you pick that all up yourself. Food came out quick and was really tasty! The pollo guisado was the favorite at the table and had a huge portion size! Restaurant seems like it would be a better fit with decor that matches the food and taking orders at the table. Without these, it feels a bit disjointed and odd to ask for a tip when I have to get my own water/napkins. Good food, just one of weird environment for it. Having Madela beer would be a great addition too!

It's in a strip mall and they offer valet parking $10, I was able to self park without any issues finding parking - but I heard it can be super busy. Very cute place. They have a couple spots for photo opps, bar area and several tv's for catching a game etc. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The catfish and grits were so delicious! The flavor was amazing. My cousins had the lamb chops - omg they were so delicious- the seasoning was incredible! The whole place has such a great vibe - they had some music playing which can be a little loud. I recommend going to check out Bliss and enjoying a fabulous meal.

I came Sunday for brunch and it appears the menus are different. What you see online is different than what they offer as far as the drinks. No bottomless mimosas, just a tower for $70. The service was very slow and I was upset that it took forever to receive a mimosa tower. Over 40 minutes. We canceled and ordered different drinks. So frustrating that I won't go too deep into it. The food was so good. I'd return because of the food and ambiance. The DJ was on point. We also had a large party so maybe next time, I'll come with a group of 4 or less. They charge gratuity no matter what. I still gave a little more but whatever. I hope the serve will be better next time cause everything else was fire.
