Anyway, it's blue cookies and cream ice cream with chocolate chip cookies. Pretty standard ice cream flavor but it did have a ton of cookie bits. It was really good. Fugo shares the space with Makan, so you can get savory foods, too. I got the truffle tots and they're good. Crispy tots with a good amount of truffle sauce on top. The portion was generous, too. Came here for their tropical mango+pineapple soft serve, personally I didn't like the texture. It was airy, kinda fluffy like whipped. Made an ordered for 16 mini donuts for pickup. It took around an hour for it to be ready and the service was great, after arriving I picked up my order and was on my way. They seemed short staffed and due to covid restrictions I actually waited outside for pickup which is reasonable. I've read reviews about the donuts being dense and I have to agree, however BECAUSE they are so small, it wasn't really a deal breaker. If you want light and airy like krispy kreme, these arent the donuts to go for, but if you want a sort of timbit-like or more cake-like donut, these are a great choice. Think tiny tom type donuts, except these are decorated and dressed to the nines. The Homer is one of my favorites, as is the skor. read more

I was just leaving the AGO and was craving ice cream after the raving indigenous feature. Fugo is a hidden gem, hole in the wall place to visit. It's one of the few places that do take pride in making stuff in house. As you enter you can see their donut fryer running and an attentive individual at the til. As much as the donut was good I was on a no fry diet so I took one order of the wild berry and thai milk tea. My second order was Malt chocolate and coffee. I would say the flavors were not standard from the bucket flavour. Very unique. He thai milk tea was orange with a distinct cream flavour. The wildberry had a nice deep berry flavour with little gelatin berries that were soft to bite. Very unique. It reminds me much like a bubble gum flavour ice cream with its unique interpretation. The malt chocolate was my flavour. Spot on for taste like when you buy a smarty or kitkat ice cream. All its missing is the malt chocolate chunks. The coffee was good and rich. Easter weekend pop-up delivery of 2020 I found out about this pop-up via their Instagram posts and overall, I'd say they did a very good job of advertising/keeping their customers informed and their overall organization was quite good (especially considering that this was their first time hosting this type of event). Placing my order was simple - online on their website with a very user-friendly interface. Being a Vaughan resident, my delivery was set for the second day and estimated for ~5pm delivery. Impressively, the doorbell rung at 5:11 pm. Delivery was completely contactless, as they dropped order on the porch and rang the bell. My two items were placed in a large paper bag. Small detail, but they didn't place their logo on anything (i.e. no logos on the paper bag, ice cream tub, or cake container). Everything tasted fresh, like it was made the day of. The HK milk tea ice cream ($11.90) was rich in flavor and creamy smooth! The matcha tiramisu ($22) was a little small in size for the price, but the flavors were perfect. The top layer of matcha powder helped to balance out the sweetness of the cream and by keeping this dusting light, it wasn't too bitter. I was extremely happy with my order, and it was exciting to have it delivered to me for free (orders over $30) especially considering they're located downtown. read more

EASTER POP-UP DELIVERY SERVICE 2020 The moment they made the announcement, I immediately jumped on the opportunity. A chance to support a business I have visited in the past during this time of uncertainty, so I had a little bit of everything except the donuts. Delivery service: this was Fugo's first time at this so I expected some hiccups. They allotted two hours for my area and my order was delivered closer to the two hour mark (not a big deal). It was contactless delivery and everything was inside a paper bag (but wasn't sealed though). There wasn't really an invoice attached to the bag to indicate it was my order (nothing was missing). Free delivery if your order was over $30. Desserts: the tiramisu was delicious (matcha was good, but the original triumphed). The prices were steep for this particular item - ($22~ or $6~ for minis). The mini packages were the size of my palm, so a total of 3-4 bites of the tiramisu. Good to try once, but not enough for the price. Thai Milk Tea and London Fog ice cream was amazing. Thank goodness it wasn't melted when it arrived. Personally haven't had the mini egg cookies yet but so far, I've been told they tasted great. read more

The mini donuts are made from a donut mix and fryer on the countertop. Its an interesting process to watch as you wait for your order. They are all freshly made and promptly prepared. I thought they would be chewy and dough-y like the regular ones at Timmies or Krispy Creme, but i was delightfully surprised.(tl;dr: get them!) They are soft, decadent, melt in your mouth pastries. My coworker got the classic donuts dusted with cinnamon; those were pretty good too. I also got their hard scoop ice cream. Two scoops, in fact. I got the London Fog (top scoop) and the HK milktea (bottom scoop). Even though i asked for a cup they upgraded me to a cone so ayy. It was 6.75 plus tax. The london fog flavour was almost peppery, not sure why. I prefer Richmond Station's version better. The HK milktea flavour was alright, not too sweet which is good depending on what your cravings are. As the waffle cone was already sweet, the lightness of the icecream complimented it rather nicely. Came here for dessert after having a full lunch at a nearby restaurant. The shop is conveniently located at Queen street and hard to miss. The restaurant is a lot more spacious when you walk inside. We came here for the mini donuts. The variety of donuts is large but each is so tiny that you can gobble down a dozen donuts before you realize it. My friends bought me a box of 16 mini donuts as a gift and WOW! These donuts were incredible! The donut itself was well made. And the flavours packed a punch. Two things I love about Fugo- the donuts aren't too sweet, unfortunately other donut places pack the sugar in and there's no real taste of Oreo, Nutella, fruit jams, nuts etc. but this isn't the case here. Not too sweet and it tastes of what they advertise. Secondly, I like that the flavours are offered in MINI donuts. So often I go to a donut shop and I want to try all the flavours but I couldn't possibly eat 16 donuts in a day, so I like the option to taste every flavour in mini donuts. Ordered 16 mini donuts for pickup today. It took about an hour for it to be ready and the transaction was very easy. I arrived and they had my order ready to go. They are working in the back so I had to momentarily wait for them to come to the front. It's understandable considering there is a pandemic occurring which requires special circumstances with social distancing. I read other reviews about the donuts being oily. I didn't find that at all. Long story short: Pretty good mini donuts! A bit on the oily side though. Long story Long: I got an order of 6 mini donuts: rosewater pistachio (best icing one in my opinion), Nutella, churro, apple pie, cookies & cream (too heavy), as well as plain sugar and cinnamon (also delicious). I preferred the plain sugar and cinnamon, and the ones that weren't icing-heavy. After 3 donuts though, you start to get too much of that fried oil taste, despite the fluffiness of each individual donut. They are a fun, 2-bite size, with a decent price in my opinion. The service was great and quick. No room to sit down though, it's very much a grab-n-go style place. Did not really enjoy leaving smelling like the oil, it was pretty stuffy in the room. Yelp and Instagram makes it seem like it's an ice cream/dessert place but they also have bowls and other savoury dishes. Even though they are known for their Cookie Monster ice cream, I went for the HK milk tea in a cup. I also got a churro with my ice cream. HK milk tea ice cream - the ice cream base was nice and solid. It was also smooth and had a good taste of milk tea. I am a bit picky with tea flavours and think it can be stronger. That being said, once I dipped my churro into the ice cream, cuz the churro was rather sweet and covered with cinnamon sugar, I couldn't really enjoy the ice cream anymore as the churro flavours overpowered the milk tea. Churro itself was ok. Not the best but also not the worst. 3/5 Perhaps I should've gotten their cone and their signature ice cream combos because those looked amazing and my friends enjoyed it. Girl at cash was not the friendliest in my opinion, and could've smiled more and spoke a bit more politely. The gentlemen were more welcoming. Want to ruin your mood Friday right after work? Look no further than spending 40 minutes in greasey air hell at fugo desserts! Today I went and they didnt have my donut order ready. They proceeded to make literally 100's of donuts which ended up not being mines! They said their wifi was down and they couldn't get their online orders but....why dont you just keep making donuts in anticipation that you'll be seeing customers who did order online. Instead I'm waiting here when it's to be a quick pick up. My order isn't ready, they say 5-10minutes. Ugh. Time goes by I see so many boxes getting pumped out. Super annoying because none of them are mine. Even though those people aren't even here. Why do I have to wait literally 40 minutes for some donuts that I PREORDERED online 2 hours ago. Why are they making orders for people who aren't here. Shouldn't you prioritize the person who has been waiting for so long and preordered??? I got my order after finally speaking up. Because for the second time they said my order was ready and it wasnt mines. After I told them my name. After I told them my order number. How can you keep getting it wrong?! I ask for compensation. Its been 40 minutes. I came at 4:25 and its 5:05 now. I point out those boxes behind the counter that have been sitting there for 40 minutes. Boxes of hundreds of donuts made after I came but no one picked up. They should have made mines first because I was standing there and came on time. (4:30 pickup). Might I add. Afterwards a lady came and stayed she ordered for picked up 4:45 and her order was ready! So what sequence were they really being made in? They said they cant issue any refund to me because of their pos system...okay there. So you think it's ok to have people wait 40 minutes for an order that they made online. And you think it's ok to make orders for people who aren't at your store yet while their orders sit for 40 minutes you could have satisfied at least one person by fulfilling their one measly order. Their oil... always rancid smelling...ugh. you would think the smell filling the entire restaurant would be an indication that the oil is perhaps past it's time. But no. Everytime I'm here its reeks! And the taste goes in the donuts too. And after I was forced to wait for 40 grueling minutes I left smelling like grease. I've never seen such an incompetent group of staff and managers ever. Manager cant issue a refund? I dont believe it. They fail to speak to me while there and only after putting them on blast on Instagram they call me back. The Thai Milk Tea has a sweet condense milk flavour . The Earl Grey has a robust Earl Grey flavour. However, both flavours were slightly icy compare to other ice cream soft serve outlets. They lacked the smooth creamy textures of soft serves. Although I appreciate the unique flavours, I prefer more luxurious ice creams from other dessert outlets in the city. read more

Solid ice cream place for me! I was able to try some flavours before making up my mind (I'm a very indecisive person). The hojicha tasted like roasted milk tea, similar to the Chatime drink (yummy!) I ended up ordering the thai tea and the early grey (lol). I found the earl grey to be very strong. It was very floral and was difficult for me to finish. Yummy bite-sized donuts. They are indeed small and disappear in no time. The cool thing is that they make the donuts with their counter-top donut fryer on the spot so you know they're fresh. As for flavor, they're all lightly flavored due to their small size. They're best eaten within an hour or so but the bacon one ideally right away cause the bacon crumbs will get cold. I've passed by this place so many times but never went in. One day I was walking by with my sister and she was really in the mood for ice cream so we decided to check it out. The place is a small spot tucked away on dundas and can be hard to miss. We got two cones. The Cookie Monster and Cookies N' Dreams. The cookie monster cone was two blue cookie and cream ice cream scoops, and mini chips ahoy and an oreo cone. The cookies and cream was my favourite its two 2 scoops Skor brownie, ice cream. Hershey's Cookies and cream pieces, oreos, and an oreo cone.  They also sell specialty mini donuts with unique flavours such as Creme Brulee, Rosewater Pistachio, Churro, Chocolate Pistachio, Cookies N' Creme, Reese's and Campfire S'mores. The place is super small, theres only two chairs to sit down so don't count on sitting in. But thankfully there was no line! I ran a 10 kilometre race and wanted to treat myself to something sweet. It was incredibly humid and the race day just happened to coincide with the grand opening of Fugo Desserts downtown, so I thought I'd give it a try. The store itself is clean, white, and decorated very minimally. I tried one of their specialty items and I thought it was absolutely incredible. The ice cream, alongside the brownie bits at the bottom and the wafer sticks, make for the perfect cheat day dish. I'll be coming back multiple times to sample more of their specialty ice creams later on in the summer. Every once in a while, after a light dinner I'll come to Fugo to get my sweet tooth fixed . . .Last time I visited I ordered a "cookie monster" (muahahah). I would say that this is my favourite, but in reality I simply have not been brave enough to try one of the other choices on the menu. As far as the ice cream is concerned, I think it tastes great. The best way to describe is probably an "extreme" version of Marble Slab. . .I must say that if you are into Instagram, this is probably a must visit spot because all of their ice creams look ridiculously photogenic. The portions are massive, so if you are a normal person you should consider visiting a) on an empty stomach or b) with a friend that will help you get through the monster. I think the only BIG downside of Fugo is the price. . .I ended up spending $9.32 for an ice cream and I found that to be a little ridiculous. I've walked by this dessert spot several times but never got a chance to pass by. Usually, I'm more of a soft serve person but this place definitely changed my mind. First time coming in, my boyfriend and I shared their signature Cookie Monster. It's a bit pricier than other desserts within the location, but the serving size is actually worth it - two big scoops of blue dyed cookies & cream ice cream topped with bite-size Chips Ahoy's on a cone. The hard serve's sweetness was just right at first, but halfway through the treat, I started to feel like it's over sweetened, which made sense. The cone itself is not really to my taste bud as the melted marshmallow (?) was too chewy and hard; however, my boyfriend really enjoyed it. Note for girls: definitely bring lipstick with you after eating as your lips and tongue will turn blue and it takes some time to fade. The next day we passed by again (yes, my boyfriend and I do eat a lot of ice cream), we got 1 scoop each of Thai Milk Tea, Skor Brownie, and Hong Kong Milk Tea. Yum! Really enjoyed all the ice cream that we had, but my most favorite will be HK Milk Tea for its authentic flavor. However, since they also focus in donuts, the whole small enclosed area smells like frying oil, which will leave your clothes and hair with the same smell after 5 minutes. Usually visit Fugo with friends when my sweet tooth kicks in. Let me start by saying that the ice cream here is more picturesque than a hillside sunset. Find a brick wall with some added saturation and you'll have a hit Insta pic on your hands. The ice cream itself is a bit heavy. Not sure if it's the milk they use or the added ingredients but one cookie monster ice cream will be enough to fill you up for the entire day. If I have this after dinner I would usually feel way too full to function. The store itself is pretty cute with lots of colorful walls. The seating is a bit limited so it may be tough coming here with all your high school friends. Staff is pretty friendly and make the ice cream in a speedy manner. Overall good for a weekend visit but might be too heavy for an after dinner snack. read more

[SERVICE] - 5/5 Staff were friendly. I was amused because one guy took orders at the cash register and also flipped the donuts to make sure they cooked evenly in the mini donut fryer. [DÉCOR] - 4/5 Modern, clean and minimalistic. Very small, and had a few bar stools by the window. Seating area was limited, so this was a great spot to order treats to go. [QUALITY] - 5/5 Every single mini donut was inspected for quality, and topped with delicious and sweet treats! [ORDER] - 5/5 - 6 Specialty Mini Donuts - $5.50: We ordered the following flavours: (1) Great Canadian Pig (2) Maple Walnut (3) Chocolate Pistachio (4) Resse's (5) Campfire S'mores (6) Lemon Meringue. First time visit. Cute little spot downtown. I have to say it's very small, like my room is bigger kind of small. But nonetheless, I enjoyed what I got. I tried the Cookies N' Dreams which was a delicious two scoops of ice cream on a yummy cone. The S'mores on S'mores was also good. Everything was just very presentable. The mini donuts aren't the best but such a cute idea. I'd come back if I were in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back as the menu is very limited. read more
