    a plate of chinese food
    Ying L.

This is a Chinese restaurant featuring northeastern cuisine with lamb dishes and BBQ. They are quite busy, every time we came in, it's very busy and noisy! Service is average Chinese style service. Seatings are very tight and not comfortable. The food quality here is good though: 1. Bbq lamb kabobs 4/5 2. Bbq mantou 4/5 3. Bbq chicken wings 4/5 4. 老虎菜4/5 5. 锅包肉 5/5 6. Lamb soup 4/5 7. Fried cabbage 4/5 The overall food quality is consistent, will come back.

Flavour and texture of everything was so good!! Liang pi (cold noodle) was a fav of people trying north Chinese cuisine for the first time with refreshing cucumber and chewy thick noods. There wasn't anything we didn't like and we had A LOT of things: beef skewer, sausage skewer, clams, jellyfish & cucumber, mutton soup, quail skewer, sweet and sour eggplant, green onion pancake. Caution for those with peanut allergy. We needed to specifically ask for the skewers to not have the seasoning because it contains peanuts. Service was pretty quick and it's 10% off with cash.

Make sure to make reservations if you're coming on the weekend! Even at 8pm, this place is packed and you'll need to wait at least 30 minutes for a table. I have been coming to Fuji Lamb House since 2011/2012. If you remember Fuji Lamb House from back then, you're definitely an OG of the area. To be a customer 10 years later shows exactly how much I love this place. Back then, Fuji was literally a large room with fold-up tables and folding chairs. 10 years later, it's a fully renovated restaurant with proper tables and booths. The interior gives off the feel as if you're in China or Hong Kong having a meal. It's really a great vibe in here. There are many other BBQ skewer restaurants that exist now, but Fuji is the first before anywhere else! The food has stayed consistently great over the years. The quality of the meat skewers are soft and juicy. Some other BBQ skewers places are hit or miss with dry meat, but I've never been disappointed at Fuji! When you come to Fuji, you definitely have to order the skewers. My go-to BBQ skewers are: (1) lamb, (2) beef, (3) sausage, (4) pork belly, (5) eggplant, (6) korean cabbage. That's basically the full experience of Chinese BBQ skewers! Other great dishes here are the Taiwanese Fried Chicken, Spicy Fried Clams, and BBQ Garlic Clams. Perhaps the reason everyone loves it here is because you can get a PITCHER (1.8L) of their house beer for $10. Not sure what beer it is, but it gets the job done! A really great place for drinks and food. You can bring your own cards and games to play here while you eat. On one occasion, they even gave us cups with dice (I'm not sure if this is a regular thing that they do). Parking is free in the plaza.

Fantastic BBQ and lamb comfort food! Amazing place for anything lamb! All their food is super tasty, and the definition of comfort food for all the lamb/northern Chinese cuisine lovers. Their skewers are not super heavily spiced, but are still flavourful. Definitely get a few of their lamb skewers because they are SO GOOD! The pork belly skewers are not quite at good, even a bit dry? It doesn't taste fatty which is confusing, but tasty nonetheless. The BBQ pork belly (not skewers) is a really nice "BBQ stir fry" and goes great with some drinks. An unexpected favourite of mine is the lamb offal soup! It doesn't sound appetizing, but its surprisingly light and fragrant. Think "pork bone soup" but with a tiny bit more creamy richness. Be warned though, you should drink this while it's still warm! The fats in the soup clump as it cools and doesn't make the best texture, but its still tasty. The cold noodles are always a solid choice that isn't spicy, but a light appetizer type dish. It doesn't look too pleasing in the photo, but the sauce mix is divine. It's not your typical cold noodle + chili oil taste though, but if you're okay with changing it up, then this is a nice side. Overall, fantastic restaurant! I haven't had anything here that I wouldn't gladly get again! Hands down the best lamb BBQ place I've been! Note: if you like vinegar, you can ask the staff for some if its not at the table.

不油,好吃,便宜,不怕胖! After a full day off snowboarding/exercising. I love coming to Fuji Lamb House to get my fix! They have unlimited refills on their lamb soup and the food comes out fast and delicious! I love coming here

The only picture I have of the lamb innard soup before I gobbled it down at lightning speed. Daz me!

TLDR: Local patio and dine-in spot with great service, good prices, yummy BBQ and lamb fanfare. For my fellow Chinese people acquainted with lamb, this is definitely a comfort spot. (Slightly) longer review for those not in a hurry: Taste (4.5/5) : I ordered the BBQ eggplant, deep fried pastry, "tiger" salad, grilled steamed buns, and mixed lamb innards soup (photos attached!) BBQ Eggplant + Steamed Buns Loved it! The taste is slightly sweeter than the conventional north-eastern, with the cumin not being as prominent in the flavour profile. BBQ eggplants are tough, because all too often it's waay too oily! Not this one though! It was soft and perfectly seasoned. Likewise with the steamed buns as well! Not too oily, perfectly toasted on the outside, and sweet and soft on the inside. Deep fried pastry To be honest, I'm not sure if this was baked or deep fried, but it was so flaky and buttery!! This was one of the more oily dishes, since it is somewhat akin to a Chinese flatbread croissant. By itself it was a bit bland, so be sure to get something to pair it with, like the aromatic lamb soup. Tiger Salad Actually ordered this wrongly, because I was supposed to get the cucumber salad instead, but I regret nothing! The onion and herbs along with the light dressing created a pungent and strong salad that I will definitely be back for. The server said that this is one of their more popular salads, and I can definitely see why. Very fresh flavours that mingle together, and pairs perfectly with the heavy BBQ. Mixed Lamb Innards Soup I love that signature grassy lamb flavour, so this was a very good soup that hit the spot. You can smell the lamb as soon as they approach! It comes with a side of coriander and scallions to be garnished and enjoyed with the soup. It was so delightfully lamb-y and fresh that I will definitely be back again for this. Perfect for any time, but I'm fantasizing about how divine it would be smack in the middle of winter. Place (3.5/5) : Lively patio with nice interiors, too. Don't expect anything too fancy. It was actually reminiscent of the street stalls in china, except cleaner! An excellent spot in general, but I love it for late night, since it just has that vibe. They do serve alcohol, so if you're looking for a hangout with friends to enjoy some bbq with a beer, this is the place to be! Follow my insta @joelyho for more food reviews and derpiness!

If you love the smell and taste of lamb , you will love this place. Sure you can get lamb skewers, but pretty much many restaurants offer this. I would recommend 1)lamb spicy spine pot (香辣羊蝎子锅), it comes with tender lamb stacked to the top with bean sprouts at the bottom. 2) *ONLY if you truly love lamb taste* Get the FUJI style mutton soup (羊杂汤). Soup cooked with various lamb parts for max flavours.

You expect good. Or at least above average. The service was the only good part. As they are very attentive and the servers do pay attention to when you need to switch at times. Outside of this. The decor is from the previous store I think called maki momo? The dine in is counter seating. The taste is definitely not your typical Korean soup spices but the pork bone was definitely fall off the bone and tender which some Korean places serve it very dry. The spicy fish and veggie soup was also different as the fish used I believe it's snakehead where other places usually have that thick cut white fish which is meh. So I really enjoyed it. Definitely don't set the expectation as authentic Korean dishes for these two dishes in terms of taste because it's quite different. The pork bone soup had a lot of garlic in it but something about the soup base gave me sukiyaki flavours. The fish soup was slightly different as well but also can't narrow down what it reminds me off but that one gave some Chinese spin to it. Although different I'd say it's unique and good in their own way, I'd go back for their grilled meat options next time. For service there is a girl who takes your order and also the one that brings you food and periodically comes by to check on you. Very friendly. It's $6.95 for all of their large, medium & small items which typically range $1-2 more on their standard menu. The value here is the atmosphere and relatively attentive and friendly service. The restaurant interior is still clean and impressive at this polished establishment, this time in celebration of Chinese New Year. Tea arrived shortly thereafter and I totally forgot they charged $3pp which is a bit excessive for 4 people. But the siu mai and har gow dumplings here are worth it, as both are huge and plump loaded with shrimp filling. We also had their pear-shaped deep-fried truffle berry buns & HK-style eel with cheese buns, unique to this dim sum spot. This time we added the beef rice rolls, egg tarts and taro puff dumplings as well to round out a typical dim sum meal. All-in-all we were filled very quickly for four people, especially as we ordered the congee with spare ribs, dried fish & peanuts. Skip it or hit it? If you can catch the early bird, this dim sum meal is a good new pick when hosting friends and guests in town.
