Delicious Chinese skewer spot in Markham! So good that I came back twice in 3 weeks! This spot is always busy so you should probably make a reservation in advance as the spot is quite small. All the foods here you're able to pick your spice level. Here's what we got: Cucumber side dish 4/5 - Pretty good side dish to share. Pretty standard. Chicken skin 5/5 - LOVED this as the skin was very crispy and delicious. Lamb and beef skewers 5/5 - Both of these were a score for me. I loved these, it had great fat to meat ratio and had a nice taste to it. Stir fry hand cut noodles 5/5 - Chewy noodles that were perfectly fried with cabbage and meat. Great for sharing. Fried eggplant 5/5 - Probably what they are most known for. Everyone raves about this candied eggplant dish, and although it was very good, it does get heavy to eat since it's sweet. Century egg + eggplant 10/5 - I absolutely LOVED this appetizer. They bring it out for you to see it first before asking if you'd like them to mash the ingredients together. It's not the most appetizing look to a dish but the flavours are well blended, delicious and the perfect amount of spice. Cabbage 5/5 - Perfectly seasoned and delicious cabbage on a stick. Chives 5/5 - Great amount of chives served that was well seasoned and tasted delicious with any meat skewer. Overall, loved this spot and will absolutely be bback for more of the appetizers and skewered meats.

We wanted to try something different since we always eat Cantonese cuisine and we heard this place was very popular for their skewers. We came around 8pm on a Friday night and it was around a 40 min wait. We got a variety of beef skewers, chicken, the squid, sausage and scallops. Scallops are huge and flavorful. The smashed cucumber salad was refreshing and pairs well with spicy food. Will try more of the dishes next time rather than skewers.

Great Sichuan Cuisine place! It has nice decor and attentive service. The place was busy but was still kept clean. Kung Fu Hot Spicy Boiled Beef - It's like a sliced beef stew with chickpeas and pickled Chinese cabbage, added some numbness and sourness to the dish, very tasty. Geleshan-Style Spicy Chicken - The chicken portion was quite generous, unlike other places where they have 80% dried chili peppers and only 20% chicken. Spicy Duck Blood And Tofu - It's an upgraded version of Mapo Tofu; it added duck blood as well which I love. Goes perfectly with the rice. Soy Sauce Meat and Vegetable Fried Rice - Amazing. The rice itself had a sweet kick, with a lot of seafood and veg in it. Highly recommend if you like soy sauce fried rice like me. Trio Of Stir-Fried Vegetables - Very authentic veggie dish. Overall a great Chinese restaurant. I'd love to come back again to try other dishes. Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 4.8/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - NA/5 Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 4.5/5 Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 4.7/5 Value (quality vs. price) - 4.5/5 OVERALL - 4.63

Overall, it wasn't bad, but nothing food wise really stand out to me. I did appreciate the wide variety of dishes available, including the different fish, rice, vegetables items. As someone who loves spicy food, i really enjoyed the spicy numbing fish I also liked that there were noodles at the bottom, though they felt a bit overcooked and too soft. The skewers were good, and I liked being able to choose the spice level. Service that day wasn't great, even though it was a weekday so it wasn't as busy, no one refilled our water, and the food come out a bit slow. I really liked the interior, which gave off strong China street food vibes. Overall, I'm just not sure if I would come back. But honestly it might be because my friend hyped it up so much so my expectations were higher than usual and that's why it fell flat for me

Made reso for my group of six. It's not a big place and the place was busy. We still had to wait 30 minutes for our table on a Friday night. However the skewers were good. The crispy deep fried eggplant was the hit of the night. The stir fry clams were good if you love the hot numbing spice. I know lots of people love it but I'm not a fan of this spiciness.

Long wait! I guess the plastic chairs in front the store is the giveaway. We finally got inside after more than one hour (which I would never do but the people in my party wanted to wait). The service once inside was great and attentive! The food was quite good but nothing special. I can get this at many other places. The one saving grace is their fried egg plant which is unique and in my mind the reason you will come back. I think I will just plan to come later so I don't have to wait.

Was pretty hungry, and most places close pretty early in Markham/Richmond hill area, so we decided to have some Chinese skewers. The inside looks very nice and promising as there were already people eating so late (midnight snack). Ordered a whole bunch of items through my phone from their QR code, and luckily there was English for you to know what you're ordering! Food came out very fast, as I thought skewers would take some time to cook. Seasoned very well especially the lamb; as I don't like the gamey taste, but these lamb skewers had none of the gamey taste and just delicious flavour. It also had enough fat where it wasn't fatty, and very moist. Would definitely come back when craving hits again.

Nicely made delicious food, good service, nice ambiance, convenient parking. The menu offers quite good choices, from cold items to grilled and other options in between. However we ordered from grill menu only (as we were tempted by the pictures before we decided to head for this place). We had beef skewers, tender lean beef, grilled squid, grilled chicken hearts, bamboo skewered fish, mushrooms with garlic, Eggplant with Garlic Vermicelli. Their milk-flavoured bread is amazing (eat it while it's warm). Some items might be quite spicy, like grilled squid and eggplant vermicelli, but nicely prepared and fresh. Just for a price estimate, the linner cost us $90 for 2 persons.

Located at Commerce Gate Plaza on Hwy 7. This BBQ shop is quite A-OK! Once you step in your senses are in overload with all the BBQ teasing you. There are many seating options and the wait was very acceptable. You order the food via thr QR code. Thr food is a little slow to come out but very we'll flavoured. Hopefully in their soft opening period they get their kitchen timings down to allow for a better dining experience. The stir fried dishes were all well seasoned. The BBQ skewers were on point and definitely grilled vs many shops that deep fry their skewers. The meats are fresh and very tasty. Will need to try out many more dishes next

Yummy yummy and spicy! Great place for Chinese skewers! Everything comes super hot and flavorful. Becareful if the spicy levels. Also a lot fried stuff so it's "hot air" of you eat it iykyk. But I'll be back for great skewers!

My husband and I were craving some Chinese bbq and found this place not too far from our hotel. The place was so busy! We put our phone number down and walked around the plaza. We waited probably 45 minutes to an hour before getting a call. It was so worth it! The lamb skewers were perfectly seasoned and so tender. The squid skewers were also a huge hit! (didn't get pictures) It was marinated so well and had a slight sweetness in addition to the perfect amount of spice. We loved it so much, we placed another order. We also got the bbq scallops, perfectly seasoned and topped with a mound of garlic and vermicelli. My husband was sad they didn't have oysters though, but the scallops were still good, so it made up for it. We also got stir fried clams with chili and that was absolutely amazing. The portion size and the flavor were good. The chives (not pictured) were also delicious and I've never had them made this way before. My husband also got an entire pitcher of beer for $8!!! We spent about $116 CAD after tip and were stuffed! It definitely hit the spot and satisfied all my cravings for chongqing food! Burned so good

We came here for a late dinner and were happy to find a decent place in the area that was still open after 10pm. Initially the service was very fast, with our lamb and squid skewers being delivered in minutes. They were both delicious, but I was a bit disappointed in how small they were considering the high price. Next we got the Miss Qu Spicy Fried Rice, which was a massive portion and good value considering all the sausage and shrimp in it. We also got the Trio of Stir-Fried Vegetables, which was a tasty way to add extra vegetables to an otherwise meat focused meal. Unfortunately our last few skewers orders took a long time to arrive and eventually I had to remind the servers about it. Overall it was an uneven experience between the slow service and high prices, but the food was still pretty good and not many other places were open that late as alternatives.

The food is amazing. Very good traditional Chinese food. The staff are very friendly.

Both had long lineups around lunchtime, but I liked that this spot offers the option to pair your meats with either noodles or rice. The duck was meaty and plump, with beautifully glistening skin. The roasted pork was perfectly seasoned, featuring that addictively crisp, crackly skin. The BBQ pork was equally impressive, tender and juicy with a glossy, caramelized exterior that balanced sweet and savory flavors really well. None of the meats felt overly fatty or heavy, and when paired with steamed cabbage and your choice of noodles or rice, it made for a really satisfying meal. The vermicelli noodles were thick and chewy, and they come with a side of broth in addition to the soups. The soup itself was light with a pleasant herbal note. The noodle broth, however, had great chicken flavor but was slightly too salty for my taste, so I ended up diluting it a bit to fully enjoy it.

The combo prices have slowly crept up over the years from the 5.99 two meal combo to the current 9.99 price point I enjoy the BBQ pork and duck as the pork has a nice meat texture with crisp skin along with the duck that is meaty and not too fatty with a nice seasoning to infuse through the meat while roasting.
