    Avocado Roll
    Linds O.

Who doesn't love sushi. While I prefer to make my own, sometimes I want a lazy meal where someone else does the work. So I paid a visit to the Fuji Sushi on Beach Blvd and Hodges. Food--5/10. I hate giving bad reviews so I'm being a bit generous here and hoping maybe it was just an off day but I was thoroughly unimpressed. I started with an avocado roll. That this was Likely the best thing I tried and it was still not very good speaks volumes. There was so mu ch rice and so little avocado it was a miss. It went downhill from there. The tempura vegetables were okay, but it wasn't very fresh. Nor was the gyozas or the shrimp tempura. None of them were served with sauce and they didn't come back for over 15 minutes so I ate them without it eventually to avoid them being any colder. Since they charge you for uneaten food I didn't want to be stuck eating it in any worse condition. I also got the hibachi chicken and fried rice. The rice was hard and crunchy, the chicken was dry. Again no sauce provided. Neither ginger dressing of yum yum sauce. At this point I was utterly disappointed and decided to cut my losses and leave. Service--2/10. When the servers stopped by they were polite enough but they hardly ever came by and they really weren't that busy. They had a weird way for ordering dishes and don't explain their particular process well but complained at me when I don't do it right. Atmosphere--6/10. For how nice the area this restaurant is located in, the interior feels very unwelcoming. Definitely not a memorable experience.

All you can eat sushi for $20.99?! Count me in! It's pretty decent for the price you pay. I love how it is made to order and not buffet style. You have a little paper and you write your number down, the very efficient servers come by and grab your paper and take it to get made. They are also very fast at taking your dishes off the table when you finish eating. I definitely got my monies worth at this place and I will be coming back.

Fast service, clean space, friendly staff! We came in a rush and they were the perfect choice, everything is brought out as it is ready no waiting for 1 thing while the other 3 get cold. Portions were also manageable which is great at AYCE locations because you are charged for what you don't finish. The raw sushi was very nice, and the appetizers have great variety, the spring rolls were my favorite though. Come give them a try, if you're in a hurry the to-go menu is perfect!

Staff are always so nice and I always leave satisfied (and stuffed with sushi, haha!). My top 3 picks are the dynamite roll, the Green Dragon Roll, and the tuna over California roll. I love this place for many reasons. There's not many all-you can eat sushi places around. I like that the portions are small, so you can try many things and order more of the things you like. They have a vast menu of items, including appetizers like soup and edamame, shumai, etc., as well as hibachi, sushi, and desert items! The staff are always so friendly here. I often eat more than I should here, but it's worth it. The service is fast, and menu options have something for everyone!

Fuji Sushi (Hodges & Targét plaza) after thoughts: quick seating to our booth & don't let the faces of some their employees, it's just their harsh determination in providing efficient service to every table. Accounting for the missed cup of "ice only" I requested was probably my only hiccup at this visit. It's ALL YOU CAN EAT but could go to 2.5 orders since Mom got full too quickly & had to assist in finishing items ordered off her plates. WARNING: each unfinished piece of sushi = 50 cents. Ordered: Edamame, spring rolls, vegetables tempura Sushi roll order: California rolls, JAG roll, Pink Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll Sushi order: Yellowtail, Salmon & Escolar (white tuna) Don't expect high quality sushi here but for the value & size of your appetite - it's acceptable for a post-movie in & out spot. Note: they can get "heavy handed in the rice to sashimi ratio" - recommend coming here on empty stomach. I've come & returned here plenty. of 5 (2 of 5) Keep in mind this rating & standards is from someone who's been in stationed in Okinawa, Japan for over 5 total years & have visited mainland Japan as well.

Sad to give these kind of reviews. I will maybe go back to see if the visit/experience/meal will be different. Loud music, employee's yelling loud, sushi was not rolled tight, asked a few questions and had an employee trying answer our question at the top of his lungs. We almost left in that note. This is not a relaxing place to dine. It's high stress, high turn over. It's AYCE for $18.99. You will be charged 50 cents for each item you over order and do not consume. I agree with this. It saves wasted food. I prefer to go to a quiet restaurant with soothing low music playing. The green tea was the star tonight. I will update review next time I dine in. Praying it will be a little slower pace and less chaotic atmosphere next visit, but not in the weekends. Maybe the week night will be better for me.

She also gave me directions to the restaurant because it was in a plaza and I wasn't from the area and didn't want to be late. The omakase experience here and the sake tasting was fantastic. Every dish was so precisely made and plated and we got tonwatch it all from the Chef'scounter. We were given explanations for everything we had that night and they made everything gluten-free because two of us that night were gluten-free. The omakase is in the back of the restaurant as well sectioned off from the main restaurant and bar. The space is beautiful and it even has and outdoors seating area with a large (maybe fake) Sakura tree. They made my birthday dinner very special and I appreciated that a lot. The sake tasting was also just as fantastic. The sommolier explained every sake and even let me take a quick photo of the bottle so I would be able to remember it. We love dining from Sake House 2 because the staff is genuine and attentive to you. Excellent meals, superior quality and large portion sizes! We eat-in or go through Door Dash. If the door dash doesn't allow you to customize the order, you can call the restaurant and they will update and make it the way you want, such as without vegetables or without sesame seeds. I got the spicy tuna roll and the Diablo roll. I LOVED the Diablo roll. The tuna roll was pretty boring- it's about half the size and about half the price. They're generous with the tuna, there's just not much going on besides that. So I would definitely recommend getting a specialty roll! Can't wait to try more in the future :)

When I first came in after the remodel I was skeptical, but day after day (hit after hit) Wasabi delivers. The food is AYCE and is made fresh to order. I'm a huge fan of nigiri so this is such a dea. Normally two pieces could easily be 5+ at another location. Don't like sushi? No worries! They have hibachi, tempur, soups, salad, dumplings. This is a great place to take people new to sushi who are discovering their preferences ( please consider the sweet potato sushi, it will be better than you anticipate). Please be warned, there is a price per sushi piece left behind. While I never seen the staff bring down the hammer, it is a clearly written rule. Also, if one person at the table orders AYCE then shares their food you will be charged for two AYCE (which makes sense). The interior is simple but the vibes are immaculate, super laid back and they often give small gifts during certain holidays. The AYCE is approx 16 dollars until 3, their dinner prices increase. Make sure to check their schedules times before heading over. (Try the salmon skin salad)
