First time trying this restaurant and I ordered shrimp and broccoli lunch special with shrimp egg roll. Food was just okay. The shrimp were nice size and broccoli was a bit greasy. Egg roll was nasty due to the flavor it lacked and flavor of nutmeg. The fried rice I was unable to eat due to peas being in it. Stopped here for lunch today. Had my usual craving for Chinese food. I had the hot and spicy shredded pork. I've eaten at dozens, maybe hundreds of Chinese places over the years. This was in the top five. The food wasn't overly greasy or soggy. It tasted fresh and delicious. The pork fried rice was excellent. I chose the wonton soup which also very good and I had a can of soda. $8.75 including tax. The portion was big too. I will be back here next week. read more

By FAR the best Chinese takeout in the area. Friendly service, great food (Boneless Spare Ribs and PuPu Platter are awesome!). It does usually take a little longer than the pick up time they give you, but it's still worth the wait. I have been going there for 9 years now, and have yet to be disappointed. On street parking is plentiful. My only disappointment, is that they still have Colossal Shrimp w/Honey Walnuts on the menu, but I can never get it. One of my favorite dishes, and it's always (for lack of a better term) "Out of Stock". Thankfully everything else is so good, it's not that big an issue. My husband & I hadn't ordered from Fujian for several years because of our financial situation. This past Saturday (03/19/22) we decided to treat ourselves and had ordered the pork fried dumplings, which were half the normal size, General Tso's Chicken, which was flavorless except for the overloaded salt content, and the Hot & Spicy Shrimp, which my husband said also did not have any flavor. We were looking forward to eating Chinese food from Fujian but were greatly disappointed in the quality of food. We are not aware if the restaurant had changed owners or cooks or just having an off day. Whatever the reason is, we cannot afford to throw money in the garbage. The place is very tidy and clean, it has that nice chinese food essence as soon as you walk through the door. The price was great for the portions and the food was really well cooked and very well seasoned. Probably one of the best chinese food places I've ever been to. Fujian is a good Chinese takeout place with a friendly staff. I've tried a few different lunch combinations here, and I've enjoyed them all. The chicken with broccoli, chicken with garlic sauce, general tso's chicken, and kung pao chicken, were all great. The meals weren't too greasy and were pretty flavorful. The portion sizes aren't the biggest I've seen at a Chinese takeout place, but they aren't the smallest either. The portions are reasonably sized. The lunch combos (7 days a week) come with your choice of white or fried rice, and are pretty reasonably priced at around $5 or $6. You get a soup, a can of soda, or an egg roll for free with your lunch combo. Its located on Valley Blvd., the main road in Wood-Ridge. On this road there is plenty of street parking available. read more

I ordered some soup last night because I was feeling sick and thought the chicken stock would help revive me. Unfortunately they don't use chicken stock for their soup. I ordered 3 different soups and they were all basically sautéed chicken with boiling water. The chicken noodle soup was their lo Mein in boiling water. It was very apparent in the flavor of the water(which tasted lk water) that they didn't use chicken stock. Shame on the for trying to manipulate their clients during a time where quality service and food is detrimental in surviving to stay open. I wasted my money, please don't waste yours. read more

The food isn't as good as it used to be, but still better than the other local Chinese takeouts. The problem with this restaurant is that as their business has grown, they refuse to hire anyone to man the telephone and the front counter. The woman who works the counter is also one of the cooks, One of the other cooks is also the delivery driver - this contributes to the constant delay in getting your food on time. If they tell you to pick it up in 45 minutes, it will be 90 minutes. You can't be cooking and driving a car simultaneously. Also, orders are also wrong and one time I went to pick up food and the order was never made - after taking my phone order, including my phone number, the woman who cooks and runs the counter couldn't find the physical ticket and never made it. I use to eat from Fujian once per week - now its once every 2 months. Its easier to make your own Chinese food and much less aggravating (check out The Woks of Life website for authentic recipes). Fujian -stop being cheap! Pay a couple of local kids to run the counter and deliver the food. read more

We ordered takeout from here for the second time and unfortunately won't be ordering again. We tried giving it a second chance, but we've decided we're onto the next. First, the food takes an hour to be delivered, and here we thought they would deliver quickly as most Chinese restaurants are known for, but not this one. Needless to say the food was cold upon arrival and needed to be reheated. The general Tso chicken didn't quite taste like many we've tasted so that was definitely a strike for them. The Szechuan chicken was mostly veggies, and no chicken, and not even spicy. The only dish we liked was the Szechuan dumplings. Too many negatives, slow delivery, pricey, cold food and not all that tasty in our opinion. Back to the drawing board. Hopefully we'll find a good Chinese takeout next time around. read more

This place used to be the best Chinese in the area. Not anymore!! They went down in quality & quantity. Both! Couple of weeks ago I ordered chicken with garlic sauce & orange chicken. First the chicken garlic sauce. The pieces of chicken in the plate you can count them on one hand. The rest is veggies. Taste was kinda ok. Then the orange chicken, the taste was really bad!! Far away from any other Chinese orange chicken I tried. Then 90% of the chicken in the plate is BREADING!! There was no chicken. I sliced open each piece of so called "chicken" all I found was fried breading !!! No chicken there. So do I wanna have breading for lunch ? No thank you! If you want good Chinese food.
