I just moved to the area and saw that Bachi 197 was nearby and had some pretty good looking sliders. So we ordered for pickup one Saturday at around 7:15. We had ad some double sliders and some fries and the sliders were so good. It's comparable to White Mana but less greasy, and no wait. We also had a shrimp quesadilla, which wasn't bad but was just kind of basic. It's nothing you couldn't make at home. Lastly, we had an order of Tso's chicken with noodles. I did not care for the sauce at all. It was more like sweet and sour sauce and it was both too sweet and too sour at the same time. The consistency of the sauce was too thick. We ended up ordering another time but this time, it was for a party we were hosting, so we ordered a platter of 25 sliders, 50 wings (you can pick two sauces) and a platter of fries. It was a pretty good deal for the amount of food we got, and a crowd pleaser - so I would probably just stick to these items. Along with the fries I ordered..the right amount of crisp. I started ordering from here when I moved into my new office in Wood-Ridge back in January and continue to do so 1-2x week. I've only actually ate in their location once and again, very nice. My go to lunch is the 15 Cajun Bachi shrimp which has just the right amount of seasoning and the perfect kick. At around $10 it's also a bargain. I swear being a yelper is clogging up my arteries but nonetheless I brought my kids with me after a sunday little league game. They have their own parking lot next to Ritas which is cool. Walking in the place looked clean, had dark flooring and seating for small parties. The place wasn't crowded when we went and our cashier greeted us right away and took our order quickly. Got the teriyaki chicken with rice and cheeseburger slider for the kids. Flavor was good chicken portions portions were large, similar to Sakura. The slider was slightly larger and tasted better than a white castle burger. I had a large quesadilla which I thought was a bit greasy nothing spectacular. We also had the Belgian fries which were huge, again nothing special but good. The owner was nice and asked me and my kids if we needed anything, she also told me they have been open for about 8 months. Came to arrive at the building a joined to Rita's water ice. Parking was easy being that it was autumn and that Rita's was closed. A worker was on the side of the building and was smoking a cigarette that seemed to have made the whole entrance smell. Upon entering the cashier welcomed us with a warm smile. She told us to take our time ordering and seemed to be very pleasant. We ordered sweet potato fries, teriyaki sliders, steak and shrimp teriyaki and two side sauces; mango and ginger. The fries were wonderful for their price and the sauces were ok. I liked the mango one better than the ginger. The sliders were just average. Over-rated reviews got my hopes up - comparing it to White Mana - maybe if you come here super high and you don't know what the hell you're taking about. The teriyaki dinner was the best thing I tasted there and I would buy it again.
