Katsu Curry & Curry Udon with Tempua Shrimp
    Sam C.

Went for lunch today and it was amazing as always. Eli was our server and took great care of us. We were hesitant to try the curry, but I'm glad we did as it paired perfectly with our yakitori and had the right amount of kick. If you're sensitive to spice like my partner, you can definitely handle it. It was great seeing some of the staff from the original Shadyside location here in Robinson. After the fire, they have been working incredibly hard while navigating the rebuilding process and everything that comes with that situation. I would encourage everyone to support this place if you're looking for an authentic ramen restaurant with a cozy vibe. Love you guys!

I love this place!!! This was my second visit for lunch. I took advantage of the special three course offer for Pittsburgh Restaurant Week for $32.26. I had the Karaage (Tempura (I think) Battered Chicken Pieces) with Spicy Mayo, the Tonkotsu Ramen, and Japanese Matcha Cheesecake for dessert. I had a plentiful sufficiency and also had enough leftovers for another full lunch for tomorrow. Last time I was here, I had the Pork & Chive Gyoza (the best Gyoza I've ever had in my life), and Spicy Miso Ramen (and had leftovers that time too). Well worth coming here, the food, and service, is excellent . . . Cheers!

We came for lunch right as they opened on a Friday. I was surprised to see how many non-ramen options they had. From curry to katsu, to fried rice, everyone in the group got something they liked. I really enjoyed my tonkotsu ramen. It was so good I really can't see myself getting anything other than ramen here. The broth was rich, the meat was tender, the soft boiled egg was just right, and the noodles had the perfect texture. What else can one ask for in ramen? I will definitely be back for more!

A great addition to Robinson area. Loved the goyza dumplings in the special sauce. The spicy miso ramen was really good. Also loved the cocktails too. Would definitely recommend to others !

A unique dining experience in an area that does not offer a lot of them. From the food to the presentation and from the decorations to the theming, you do not feel as if you are in a restaurant in Robinson. The food was incredibly good. My wife ordered the Spicy Yuzu Ramen and ate the entire bowl. The portions were generous and the presentation was nice. My daughter ate her entire bowl of Udon noodles. I got the pork belly and chicken Yakitori and they were delicious, grilled exactly as I expected. We also tried the sea salt Edamame, and it was very tasty as well with the right amount of salt. Service is where this location takes a slight step back, at least for now. Despite ordering for just three people, our food took an hour because there was a disconnect between our waiter and the kitchen that caused our table number to get mixed up. Due to the delay, we did get the Edamame free of charge, and they also took my Yakitori off the bill as well. Additionally, our waiter got creative to bill my daughter's Udon noodles, as standalone noodles are not on the menu. I think the prices here are very reasonable in 2026. Nothing is overly expensive and there is enough variety at different price points that you can either spend a lot or spend a little and still get something. A family of four can get out for around $100 after tip. But if you are dining alone for lunch, you can be under $20. On a scale of 1-5: Food - 5 Service - 4.5 Price - 5

We stopped in again and it was great. I got spicy miso ramen and tayaki. Everything was great. I feel like the noodle portion was very low this time. I left hungry after a not so cheap bill. The restaurant is beautiful and kept nicely clean. The waiter was nice and kept our waters filled.

A solo date for me so I sat at the bar. I ordered the spicy miso ramen, pork & chive gyoza, pork belly yakitori and bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms yakitori. The broth was really good, there was a lot of flavor. The gyoza were out of this world, they were such a good size too. Don't even get me started on the yakitori's I would go back and order solely those.

This is an intimate and ornate space with a full bar and good food! We started with the gyoza, edamame, shrimp tempura, and cucumber salad. The gyoza were fantastic and super flavorful! Edamame was cooked perfectly. I thought the cucumber salad needed an acid or sweetness, it was very one note. The shrimp tempura were good, but the menu indicated 4 pieces and we only got 2... The sauce for the tempura and gyoza could've also used a sweetness or acid as well. I got the spicy miso ramen, the noodles were perfectly cooked, but I felt the soup itself could've been hotter. We came for lunch early on a Sunday, so maybe it was an off time. The service was good and the food came out quick.

Really cute interior and the gyoza was juicy. There were chives in it which I feel you don't get a lot of here. I loved how the jasmine tea came; the spoonful of honey was a great touch! And service was great!

Another visit to Fujiya Ramen and it was sooo yummy! We had the pork buns, pork gyoza, miso ramen and tonkatsu. Everything was delicious from the spiciness of the buns to the creamy broth of the miso ramen. We were graciously welcomed and sat quickly at a table for two in a quiet little corner. Service was quick, efficient and very friendly. We will be

Love the new location!! It is super spacious and the ramen is delicious. Our server was great as well. Definitely recommend ending with some mochi as a sweet treat

A friend and I checked out the new Robinson location for Fujiya Ramen an absolutely loved that they brought the restaurants shady side vibes to Robinson. Tiffany, the owner came out and greeted us and told us some background about the Ramen and how it's a 15 hour process. Everything from the drinks to the food were spot on. We started with the softshell crab bun and the pork and chive gyoza. For entrées, we both got a Ramen my friend got me some Ramen and I got the spicy miso Ramen. I absolutely love the spicy miso Ramen. I don't think it was too overwhelming. It was the perfect amount of spice for dessert. We got the taiyaki with matcha ice cream and mango mochi. I highly recommend checking out the new location if you're in the Robinson area.

It felt like he was trying to get us out, possibly to turn the table, except there weren't that many people. It wasn't like it was packed and they needed it. My husband and I have been a takeout customer of Eiwa many times over years. For our visits, the cook quickly cooked our foods, and the hostess and waiter very promptly and courteously served us. Here are my reviews for our foods: Crab cheese wonton - 4.5 stars - The wonton wrappers were crispy, and they were filled with cream cheese and some crab meat and seasonings. These wontons tasted similar to other restaurants' wontons. Miso soup - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this miso soup, and he described it as "good." Vegetable spring rolls - 4.5 stars - These spring rolls were a little oily but tasted very good. Chicken egg rolls - 4 stars - My husband ate these egg rolls, and he seemed to enjoy them. Pork gyoza - 4.5 stars - This appetizer consisted of six pieces of potstickers that were filled with a good amount of ground pork and some vegetables. On the side was a spicy sauce. Bao buns - 4.5 stars - I ordered the spiced beef, and I liked it. Other available flavors include chicken and pork. Shrimp tempura platter with kabocha squash and sweet potato - 4.5 stars - The shrimps, squash, and sweet potatoes were very fresh, and their tempura batter was crispy. Okonomiyaki - 4.5 stars - Several flavorful pancakes contained seafood and zucchini, and they were topped with sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes. Chicken Katsudon - 5 stars - The chicken meat was large and juicy, and its panko breading was crispy. Tonkotsu ramen - 5 stars - My husband has repeatedly ordered this flavor of ramen. This ramen contained pork belly, noodles, spinach, mushroom, seaweed, bamboo shoots, and egg. My husband chose to purchase extra noodles. He said that this ramen tasted "really good", "delicious," and like a "higher quality." Spicy miso ramen - 4.5 stars - I had asked for some spice, but this ramen tasted a little milder than I had expected. I assume that the cook can make it spicier for other people. Ingredients were pork, bean sprouts, seaweed, corn, scallion, and egg, and I liked the flavors. Vegetarian ramen - 5 stars - This ramen was very flavorful, despite not containing meats and being made at my preferred "not spicy" level. Creamy curry vegetable soup - 4.5 stars - This curry soup was moderately spicy and contained a small amount of vegetables. Shoyu ramen - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this ramen two times. He liked the flavors. He described the first bowl as "oily" but said that the second bowl was better. Niku udon - 5 stars - The udon noodles were nicely chewy. The broth, beef, and onion were flavorful. Tan-tan ramen - 5 stars - This ramen soup was moderately spicy, and it was filled with perfectly cooked noodles, ground chicken, and vegetables. Thai curry ramen - 5 stars - This ramen had a nice balance of moderate spice and sweetness. It also had good noodles and vegetables. Sesame chicken - 4.5 stars - Eiwa expanded their menu to include some other types of Asian cuisines. This sesame chicken had large chunks of chicken with juicy meat, crispy breading, and a flavorful sauce. On the side was white rice that was perfectly steamed. General Tso's chicken - 4.5 stars (average of my 4 stars and my husband's 5 stars) - This General Tso's did NOT taste spicy at all. My husband who strongly dislikes spices described this chicken as "delicious." Pad see-ew - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this entree. The noodles, broccoli, soy sauce, and choice of protein of chicken tasted very good. Pad Thai - 4.5 stars - The noodles were cooked well, and I liked the flavors of the sauce, vegetables, and tofu. (It may be ordered with animal proteins.) Spicy Salmon Roll - 4.5 stars - This roll was smaller than I had expected, but I really liked its flavors. Salmon-avocado sushi roll - 5 stars - I feel so thankful that Eiwa added sushi to their menu! This sushi roll contained very fresh ingredients and tasted very good. PGH roll - 4.5 stars - This maki roll contained shrimp, and I liked the flavors. Tuna-avocado roll - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this maki roll, and he seemed to enjoy it. Spicy tuna roll - 4.5 stars - This tuna sushi was fresh and moderately spicy. Rainbow roll - 4.5 stars - A California roll was topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and cooked shrimp. It tasted slightly spicy. Taiyaki - 4.5 stars - This taiyaki contained red-bean paste, and it was more fried and oily than what I ate in Japan, but I still liked it. Mango boba milk - 5 stars - This bubble tea was a large size and tasted delicious. My husband has ordered it multiple times and really likes it. Strawberry boba milk - 5 stars - I enjoyed the strawberry flavor of this beverage, and I thought that the amount of boba was perfect.

This restaurant is located right on McKnight Road somewhat near the intersection with Siebert. The inside is fairly large with seating in an L-shaped configuration around the kitchen. We were seated near the back on one side where the lighting was styled like lanterns and there was also a fun mural on the wall in an almost manga style. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the Golden Katsu Curry Ramen while my wife went with the tonkotsu ramen and my kids split a happy cat noodles. My ramen was described as served with house-made curry broth simmered with tender potato and carrot chunks, wavy noodles and topped with a crispy cutlet, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My wife's was described as pork broth with thin noodles, pork belly chashu, nori, bamboo shoots, fish cake, kikurage mushroom, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My kids' meal was described as chicken nuggets, soy sauce-based plain noodles, assorted vegetables, half marinated egg and one piece of mochi ice cream. They first brought out the wrong item for my kids but once we mentioned it they quickly corrected it and brought out the right dish. My curry ended up being really good. The chicken cutlet was crispy, the noodles were bouncy and I enjoyed the sweetness from the corn. The star of the show for me though was the Japanese curry which had a rich flavor with warm and inviting spices. My wife loved her ramen as well and we were all impressed with the quality of the kids' meal, especially the chicken and the flavor of the noodles. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Everyone in my family enjoyed their food and we appreciated that it felt both fun and family friendly.

This is a super cool spot, and I'd say it's great for everything from a quick bite to a full meal. I'd also highly recommend it for a date night. My only very minor consideration, and probably more of a summer thing (because I run a little hot), is that it can get a little warm near the open kitchen. It's on the third floor and they are cooking with proper charcoal skewers, so I think that's probably just part of the experience. Having said that, they do everything possible to keep it comfortable. The atmosphere is chill, and the service is excellent. Since we had dinner reservations nearby, we just wanted a couple of bites. The otoro was melt-in-your-mouth awesome--fresh, with high-quality sushi rice(my nephew said it was the best sushi he's had in the city). We also tried the chicken and wagyu beef robatayaki, both of which were perfectly cooked and finished with a delicious sweet and umami glaze. I'd definitely come back for a full meal, but it's also a great option if you're looking for a cool place to grab a cocktail or beer and a couple of appetizers before or after other plans.
