4.5 stars. Ramen Bar serves appetizers (e.g., egg rolls and edamame), salads, stir-fried noodles, rice bowls, udon, desserts (e.g, mochi ice cream), beverages (e.g., teas, sodas, and juices), and, of course, ramen. The ramen broths are simmered for over 8 hours, and customers may customize their ramens with dozens of toppings (e.g., egg, corn, tofu, kim chi, seaweed, bamboo, eggplant, chicken, and fish cake). My husband and I ate lunch here one time. The employees promptly and politely seated us, took our orders, brought out our foods, and took our payment. I rate the service as 5 stars. Here are my ratings for the menu items that we ordered: Vegetable gyoza dumplings - 4.5 stars - Several gyoza dumplings were filled with a vegetable mixture and served with soy sauce. Takoyaki - 3.5 stars - When I was in Japan, I did not like takoyaki or octopus balls at all. I actually liked these takoyaki better. They contained a little octopus meat and were topped with bonito flakes. Seafood Ramen - 4.5 stars - This soup was a huge serving size. I chose a miso base, which was flavorful. Other ingredients were ramen noodles, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, green onions, scallops, mussels, and squid. Wonton Men - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this soup, and he described it as "good." It contained ramen noodles, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, green onions, pork wontons, and a chunk of pork. Hot green tea - 5 stars - A mug was filled with a nice hot green tea that warmed me up on the cold winter day. In addition to dining in, customers may order through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and GrubHub.

This place is very nostalgic! I used to come here in college a lot. It is great value for what you get and the ramen is good. I think the pork is a little dry but overall, love that we have a ramen spot in Sq. Hill. The staff is super nice and sweet and they have a lot of seating inside. Glad to see that this spot hasn't changed much! This is my friend's favorite ramen!

Been a few times, pretty good! I prefer when it's less busy and not so packed as it gets very cramped in there, not good for a stroller. Food is pretty good, I think I need to try more to see if any is 5-star amazing but I'm sure I'll be back soon enough

HORRIBLE, absolutely disgusting. I found a huge bug in my ramen.. won't be eating here ever again. Everyone please consider this before you decide to eat there. Not a normal bug at all either, looks like maybe a roach .

Curry Raksa Ramen.. the texture of the green onion is yummy!

Lots of people were here when we went. I had the raska ramen, substitute shrimp for $1.50, it was delicious and plenty of food! Servers were helpful, maybe a little rushed but I think because they were busy, know what you want ahead of time if that bothers you; we didn't mind... My lover's ramen came with LOTS of pork, it says extra pork on the menu description but wow they really spoil you here! Thank you ramen bar!

Very nice casual place with a ramen bar feel. Fast paced and tight seating, but still feels intimate. Service is incredible for how busy it is. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. We ordered the pork gyoza which had a perfectly thin wrapper and really good filling. My partner ordered the spicy miso ramen ramen and I ordered the ajo ramen. The white onions in the ajo were so good!! Everything seasoned well. Would come back here.

Some dishes may contain nuts, but in the several times I've been here, the staff have been amazing at understanding allergies and customizing dishes where needed. In fact, this restaurant is phenomenal at handling customizations of any kind. In this beginning street to Squirrel Hill lies one of my favorite noodle places in the US. There is the occasional wait, but it is worth it. They also do delivery through Yelp, I believe, fulfilled by GrubHub. The Tan Tan Men Seafood Ramen was phenomenal - a perfect balance of light spice and salty, with generous amounts of seafood (5/5). The Shoyu Chashu ramen had a very generous portion of meat, with a very light broth (3.5/5). I would say that I have had more tender and flavorful Chashu elsewhere, but the portions were much better at Ramen Bar. My only dissatisfaction is that they occasionally run out of popular dishes, like their takoyaki. However, it's a small price to gamble for very reasonably priced ramen that was surprisingly rich and flavorful.

The purpose of this photo is really to show you the cost of the fees associated with getting delivery.

I used Seamless to order lunch for my family today in Braddock. As you will see from the receipt, I paid more than $25 in fees and tip for this lunch, which was reported to be OK at best. For full reference, I ordered the seafood Ramen and the curry Ramen with shrimp they received 4 pieces of shrimp! The broth was tasty. My family loves eating here and they've enjoyed the food. The packaging was quite good. The broth was tasty again for shrimp is a bit skimpy for this price.

My husband and I have been a takeout customer of Eiwa many times over years. For our visits, the cook quickly cooked our foods, and the hostess and waiter very promptly and courteously served us. Here are my reviews for our foods: Crab cheese wonton - 4.5 stars - The wonton wrappers were crispy, and they were filled with cream cheese and some crab meat and seasonings. These wontons tasted similar to other restaurants' wontons. Miso soup - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this miso soup, and he described it as "good." Vegetable spring rolls - 4.5 stars - These spring rolls were a little oily but tasted very good. Chicken egg rolls - 4 stars - My husband ate these egg rolls, and he seemed to enjoy them. Pork gyoza - 4.5 stars - This appetizer consisted of six pieces of potstickers that were filled with a good amount of ground pork and some vegetables. On the side was a spicy sauce. Bao buns - 4.5 stars - I ordered the spiced beef, and I liked it. Other available flavors include chicken and pork. Shrimp tempura platter with kabocha squash and sweet potato - 4.5 stars - The shrimps, squash, and sweet potatoes were very fresh, and their tempura batter was crispy. Okonomiyaki - 4.5 stars - Several flavorful pancakes contained seafood and zucchini, and they were topped with sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes. Chicken Katsudon - 5 stars - The chicken meat was large and juicy, and its panko breading was crispy. Tonkotsu ramen - 5 stars - My husband has repeatedly ordered this flavor of ramen. This ramen contained pork belly, noodles, spinach, mushroom, seaweed, bamboo shoots, and egg. My husband chose to purchase extra noodles. He said that this ramen tasted "really good", "delicious," and like a "higher quality." Spicy miso ramen - 4.5 stars - I had asked for some spice, but this ramen tasted a little milder than I had expected. I assume that the cook can make it spicier for other people. Ingredients were pork, bean sprouts, seaweed, corn, scallion, and egg, and I liked the flavors. Vegetarian ramen - 5 stars - This ramen was very flavorful, despite not containing meats and being made at my preferred "not spicy" level. Creamy curry vegetable soup - 4.5 stars - This curry soup was moderately spicy and contained a small amount of vegetables. Shoyu ramen - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this ramen two times. He liked the flavors. He described the first bowl as "oily" but said that the second bowl was better. Niku udon - 5 stars - The udon noodles were nicely chewy. The broth, beef, and onion were flavorful. Tan-tan ramen - 5 stars - This ramen soup was moderately spicy, and it was filled with perfectly cooked noodles, ground chicken, and vegetables. Thai curry ramen - 5 stars - This ramen had a nice balance of moderate spice and sweetness. It also had good noodles and vegetables. Sesame chicken - 4.5 stars - Eiwa expanded their menu to include some other types of Asian cuisines. This sesame chicken had large chunks of chicken with juicy meat, crispy breading, and a flavorful sauce. On the side was white rice that was perfectly steamed. General Tso's chicken - 4.5 stars (average of my 4 stars and my husband's 5 stars) - This General Tso's did NOT taste spicy at all. My husband who strongly dislikes spices described this chicken as "delicious." Pad see-ew - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this entree. The noodles, broccoli, soy sauce, and choice of protein of chicken tasted very good. Pad Thai - 4.5 stars - The noodles were cooked well, and I liked the flavors of the sauce, vegetables, and tofu. (It may be ordered with animal proteins.) Spicy Salmon Roll - 4.5 stars - This roll was smaller than I had expected, but I really liked its flavors. Salmon-avocado sushi roll - 5 stars - I feel so thankful that Eiwa added sushi to their menu! This sushi roll contained very fresh ingredients and tasted very good. PGH roll - 4.5 stars - This maki roll contained shrimp, and I liked the flavors. Tuna-avocado roll - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this maki roll, and he seemed to enjoy it. Spicy tuna roll - 4.5 stars - This tuna sushi was fresh and moderately spicy. Rainbow roll - 4.5 stars - A California roll was topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and cooked shrimp. It tasted slightly spicy. Taiyaki - 4.5 stars - This taiyaki contained red-bean paste, and it was more fried and oily than what I ate in Japan, but I still liked it. Mango boba milk - 5 stars - This bubble tea was a large size and tasted delicious. My husband has ordered it multiple times and really likes it. Strawberry boba milk - 5 stars - I enjoyed the strawberry flavor of this beverage, and I thought that the amount of boba was perfect.

This restaurant is located right on McKnight Road somewhat near the intersection with Siebert. The inside is fairly large with seating in an L-shaped configuration around the kitchen. We were seated near the back on one side where the lighting was styled like lanterns and there was also a fun mural on the wall in an almost manga style. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the Golden Katsu Curry Ramen while my wife went with the tonkotsu ramen and my kids split a happy cat noodles. My ramen was described as served with house-made curry broth simmered with tender potato and carrot chunks, wavy noodles and topped with a crispy cutlet, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My wife's was described as pork broth with thin noodles, pork belly chashu, nori, bamboo shoots, fish cake, kikurage mushroom, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My kids' meal was described as chicken nuggets, soy sauce-based plain noodles, assorted vegetables, half marinated egg and one piece of mochi ice cream. They first brought out the wrong item for my kids but once we mentioned it they quickly corrected it and brought out the right dish. My curry ended up being really good. The chicken cutlet was crispy, the noodles were bouncy and I enjoyed the sweetness from the corn. The star of the show for me though was the Japanese curry which had a rich flavor with warm and inviting spices. My wife loved her ramen as well and we were all impressed with the quality of the kids' meal, especially the chicken and the flavor of the noodles. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Everyone in my family enjoyed their food and we appreciated that it felt both fun and family friendly.

That translated into a very restrictive perimeter around my hotel from which I chose this fusion spot for dinner. The menu was quite a hodgepodge of familiar Asian plates. I have to admit though when I saw ramen and stir-fries on the same menu, I was wondering how well they do it all. I tried two items starting with the $13 Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The chicken was stir-fried with carrot, mushroom, and scallion in an excess of brown sauce. They provided enough iceberg lettuce to handle it, but the sauciness really let me down (Photo 9). The second dish, the Sichuan String Beans with Shrimp, was better but still overshadowed by whatever sauté seasoning they used quite liberally (Photo 10).
