4 ounce portion of rice
J. R.

$18.00 Salmon teriyaki bento box: (Shameful excuse for a meal) I asked for the teriyaki sauce on the side, and on closer examination, I see that it was dredged in flour and DEEP FRIED. The salmon portion was about 2 ounces for what I paid and tasted fishy and not fresh. Pitiful! They also refused to give me the vegetables steamed on the side and said they only batter and deep fry it. The rice portion was pitiful as well. I felt completely unsatisfied and still hungry afterward. I will not return.

I must say the rolls have been outstanding my last couple of times ordering. So good that it made me inspired to write a review an pass it along. Really excellent!

I was pretty skeptical before going here, this was just a restaurant that I happen to stop by at. but the food was really good, the fish was really fresh and tasted good. I will say though there was no AC on a hot day that I went out with my friend, so it made it a bit uncomfortable. otherwise everything was great

This used to be my favorite dish (not during the recent time I reviewed).

I've eaten here plenty of times, but sadly I dont think I'll be treking a mile just to get here anymore. I used to love the sushi, I've recommended to friends, but a recent trip during the summer caused my raving go downhill. So not to offend anyone, but I like to take apart my sushi before I eat it. I usually take off the fish and roll it with my chopsticks; I do that with rolls too where I munch up the fish first and then enjoy the seasoned rice. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly I'd hate to lower the stars. I dont want to give this a low rating, but it couldnt be helped. So I ordered a platter of sushi with a friend I was supposedly sharing with. Unfortunately, when it arrived there were a few flies fluttering around a few certain pieces. I waved off those pesky flies then proceeded to continue with my sushi. So with my chopsticks which I found the quality to be decent, I picked off a salmon slice and curled it around my chopstick and I saw a tiny black speck in my rice. It was a dead fly. Disgusted I looked over across to my friend who was devouring pieces before me. He gave me a face like, "What's wrong, not sushi craving?" I wanted to say DUDE PICK UP AND EXAMINE WHAT YOURE EATING. IT MIGHT SAVE YOU. However he saw a fly that nested itself on a tuna sushi and rubbed its legs and arms on that piece . My friend seemingly grossed me out as he ate thepiece as well as the fly. Then it was then I just wanted to get out as quickly as possible. I'd like to say this place is great but as a huge scaredy-cat of bugs especially gnats and flies, I am appalled.

I get sushi from this place at least once a week. I usually order the same thing - dinner combination: Alaskan roll, Boston roll & Philadelphia roll for $11. When my boyfriend and I go, we usually get a specialty roll, too. They have weird names, so I don't remember what they were but one had a lot of crab and it's our favorite. The service is fast and efficient. I've never had a problem with this place. The sushi is always fresh and affordable, so what more can I ask for?

Snow White Roll

I live two blocks away from this restaurant. I see it all the time, but never try it. One day, my bf and I was super hungry and didn't want chinese food or burger king, so I suggested this place. When we went in, it was really quiet.. no one was inside. We went around 4pm.. too early for dinner yolks I guess. We were greeted and seated. While looking at the menu, we were surprised that no one bring us water or tea. We were going to go for the all you can eat sushi, but then we were only limited to certain rolls and items, didn't seem worth the price. So we ordered from the menu, the waitress was friendly, we got spider roll, dragon roll, and snow white roll. I ordered a spicy tuna salad and my bf added a chicken teriyaki bento box. After we placed our order, the waitress brought us our tea and soon, came the soup and my salad. The spicy tuna was great, taste fresh, and good favor. But after that we waited for 25mins before our other food, which was a little long, since no one was there except us. I guess it was worth the wait, the rolls came and it looked delicious... and when i taste it, it was excellent.. then the bento box came, and I always find bento box very disappointing, and it was. There wasn't much chicken and it didn't look so good. But I will return to this place, and just order rolls from them and maybe try noodle dishes next time. One suggestion is that the waitress needs to be more attentive, when we need them, they always have their back turned on us. Thanks for the excellent sushi!! I'll see you soon.

Small but cozy inside

They still have the "all you can eat" option on ther take-out menu but i don't think they offer it anymore. I'm a big fan of their spicy tuna because it's actually spicy and they don't use the crunch crap as filler or to shield the bland taste. Not too many seats inside, it's a pretty small space that they dress up with vines on the ceiling. Not sure why they have a huge multi-surveillance security camera inside but it's an eye sore. Overall a good place, prices are average but they just write over the old prices so make sure you are looking at the correct current price. They also have a nice selection of party trays to choose from.

Cheap and delish. Actual restaurant is a bit small so I recommend it as a take out place- and the taste always delivers . Quick pick ups- usually only takes them 15 minutes to get your order ready.

small party tray 1/2 sashimi, 1/2 sushi; kani salad; east roll and shrimp tempura roll
Judy Z.

I ate here before when they had the sushi buffet, I don't think they have that anymore.. The interior is nice and it's really quiet there, sometimes a little too quiet. Now, I order it for delivery. The woman who picks up isn't really that friendly but the guy who picks up is really nice. The delivery time is 45min to an hour. The sushi and sashimi there is really good. I usually get the party tray, half sashimi/ half sushi and then it comes with 2/3/4 rolls depending on which party tray you get. The gyoza from there is delicious. The kani salad is really really yummy.

Ocean roll, spicy salmon, eel avocado and some sushi :D!!

While wandering through Bed-Stuy on a weekday evening, my husband and I decided to try out this new…read moresushi spot. It wasn't terrible--but I had a lot of mixed feelings. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

This fit the bill exactly. We started with the salmon belly carpaccio which I'd say isn't really a carpaccio because the salmon isn't sliced as thinly as you'd expect. But! I mention that just to set expectations. Nomenclature aside, it's an excellent appetizer. Served in a truffle and ponzu sauce, the salmon is lightly seared which yields two different textures to the fish. It practically melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this dish. For my entree I went with the trio don, which is 6 pieces of sashimi served over your choice of plain or sushi rice (sushi rice for me). The fish was fresh and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a yellowtail roll and enjoyed that as well. We also shared a carafe of the cold house sake. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu. It's great for sharing and trying new dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable.

Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.
