Always take out from this location, so no comment on atmosphere. Will say the to go is always prompt, utensils, napkins and sauces are always in the bag and check out is swift. Pork lo mein and vegetable lo mein are the go-tos. Perfect portion (meal, not lunch) for the price (pork $12, veggie $11) with plenty for leftovers. Definitely recommend. Went to Fulin's Asian Cuisine last night and let me tell you it was GREAT! If you are ever in Decatur you need to check it out... The Hot-and-Sour soup was incredible! It is the best I have had in a good while They get the sour and heat perfectly balanced! Our server was great! When you walk in, you wonder if you can afford the food, because it's a really nice restaurant. But the prices are reasonable. Its a really clean restaurant. I ordered a Japanese entree but substituted Hot & Sour soup for Miso soup. I am so glad I did. It was the best Hot & Sour soup I've ever had. The salad with ginger dressing was really good too. I threw some of the crunchies in the salad for a crouton like effect and it was great! My lunch choice was a new dish, the Lunch Signature Bowl. All the ingredients were good. The ingredient difference between this bowl and a sushi roll was sweet corn (bowl) and seaweed (roll.) I prefer the taste that seaweed adds to sushi so I will choose sushi rolls next time. But it was still really good. There was a fish scale on the salmon pieces but I got it off before chowing down on it. No complaint, it happens. For dessert , fried cheesecake. It was great! The service was great too. My server brought me a new tea when I still had half left in my first one. read more

No pictures, because we ate it all before I could get any! Food was fresh and delicious! I could tell the spring roles and crab rangoons were made with TLC. The rangoons were about the best I've had. Our main dish, happy family, was full of delicious chicken, beef and shrimp with fresh veggies. The hot and sour soup was out of this world! I give it 3 stars b/c the beef was a GREAT cut without any tough pieces. However, it was so salty and very expensive. I also ordered a salad with ginger dressing. It was almost $4 and it literally was lettuce ONLY with very little dressing. I asked for extra sauce in my dish but did not receive it. It was mostly broccoli and carrots. The flavors were on point! Since moving to Alabama we have had a time finding good over all Asian cuisine. We ordered the Singapore rice noodles, Kung poa shrimp and Mongolian beef. We opted for the fried rice which has been really hard to find out here. It was over all good. The only reason we are giving the 4 star is the size of the portions, no left overs as we usually have. Things I wish I knew before I went: (1) it's a chain; (2) the employees aren't Asian; and (3) the food is about the quality of Panda Express. The interior is decorated very nicely, but the atmosphere is uncomfortable. The feng shui was off and the mood amongst staff and diners was negative. The employees all looked like they hate their jobs. Brenda, I think her name was... she answered the phone and was the bar manager, was very abrupt to the point of being rude. I called in a carry out order and waited 5 minutes at the hostess desk, with several waiters seeing me stand there, but nobody telling the hostess I was waiting. When she arrived, she told me I had to go to the bar to get my food. I go to the bar, standing awkwardly for 10-15 minutes for the bar manager to make an appearance. I saw my meal in a bag right there on the counter, so I stood there watching it get cold. There was a diner at the bar, too, who was waiting to place her order. The restaurant was NOT busy at the time. I was very surprised at the high menu prices, each dish at least several dollars higher than all other Asian restaurants I've eaten at around Huntsville. Well, if the food is really good, it'll be worth it, I told myself. It wasn't just average, but below average. I got the kung pao chicken and it was completely tasteless. I even ordered it extra spicy and there just no flavor. I also ordered the pork eggroll, but they have me a vegetable spring roll instead. Also TOTALLY tasteless. Thirdly, I got my favorite soup... hot and sour. It, too, was tasteless. I have been to this location before but I would eat inside, this time I decided to order by curbside pick-up. I ordered the red thai style curry chicken. I would usually go with my regular order, shrimp fried rice but I actually looked at other items on the menu. This dish was kind of like a soup that was stir fried with red and green peppers, onions, chicken and fresh basil. Even though it was out of my comfort zone I enjoyed this dish, it was a little spicy but other than that it was good. The employee that brought out my order wore gloves and a mask, and my order came in a plastic container with a plastic lid. I always collect these containers to use them for my left overs or other things. I definitely will be going back to try other items that are on the menu. read more

The food was pretty bad, especially for the price. The pad Thai was not even edible...literally the worst I've ever had. The General Tsao's chicken didn't have much flavor and certainly no spiciness. We forgot about the steamed dumplings until we were almost done eating and after cooling they were not worth eating. (The dough wrapper was disgusting) The best part of the order was the red curry, definitely the only thing that I'd order again. Ordered takeout for my husband and me. My husband drove to the restaurant to pick it up and when he got home, the wrong order was in the bag, with much less food than we ordered. Outside of order has our name in it, but the ENIRE order was wrong. We were hungry and still wanted our food, so my husband drove back to the restaurant to return the wrong order and pick up ours. When he got back home, our order was STILL WRONG -- they shorted us an appetizer. I called to inform them, and there was no apology and the guy I was talking to HUNG UP on me! When you see grocery take out food that resembles sweet and sour pork or orange chicken pick it up instead of ordering from this restaurant. I was so excited when this came to Decatur, Alabama. We didn't have many Asian places around here. I grew up in the South Pacific and take great scrutiny to the quality of Asian food I partake in. When this place opened, it was all I wanted. The food was on point, the place had only soft music that played, the servers were cheerful. Fast forward to today: The food is bland, ill prepared (I got sick off their HOT sushi - why was raw fish hot?), and often times tastes as if it's just been sitting yet took an age to come out. They have added TVs all over the place and it's nothing but sports, the servers act like they want to kill themselves. Worse yet, the HUNTSVILLE location was hiring and my niece was offered to work under the table. They don't seem to treat their staff well at all. Do yourself a favor, Ninja is in the same shopping center and is twenty times better. The price is a bit more, but considering they already gouge you on prices at Fulins - it's worth it. We eat here a lot. This day was not so busy, less than half full. We were seated immediately. We usually get the chicken and broccoli with brown rice. 2 egg rolls and a California roll. Our waitress was really nice...Laura ;P The food was prompt, and served hot! Our drinks were never empty more a minute. This poor restaurant is sad!!!! It was so good when it was by Target....The tea was watered down. The food did not taste the same. It was actually kind of gross. The service was super slow.. There were seven tables and three waitresses and we waited forever just to get our food and our check... the sauce was so hot is scorched my tongue. It was really hot in there. Very disappointed this time. We have had good experiences in the past but this place is a shell of its former self. The atmosphere was very blah. On a Friday night it was basically dead. The projector had Wheel of Fortune playing. This was with the Olympics being televised..... Service was polite but disorganized. The simple things were both good and bad. The positives......I was able to find a menu online and order to go and the descriptions were pretty accurate. The sushi was what you would expect. I got exactly what I ordered. However, I also ordered orange chicken. What has to be one of the easiest dishes to prepare.........the dish tasted so much like fish that I had to check and make sure I had actually ordered the chicken. It was overwhelming. As a side note, I also requested the chicken be prepared without vegetables.........go figure, it came with vegetables. Extremely average food. We ate dinner at Fulin's about a week ago. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we arrived. There were only a couple of tables sat when we entered. They were staffed with lots of employees. You could see them hanging around in the dining area. Most customers don't want to see employees lulling about. The dinner was mediocre and a horrible value for the money. The plates are shallow and square. They give the illusion of a lot of food, but it's not. You seem to be paying for the fancy plate and not the food. The garlic chicken, which is labeled as spicy, was in fact sweet with no spice at all. The bean curd szechuan was just a bunch of uncooked sloppily diced tofu thrown in with the sauce and few vegetables. The tofu wasn't even stir fried or sauteed first. There were few veggies in the vegetarian dish and the ones they had were diced like baby food. It was the weirdest tofu dish I've had. Not at all as good as the ones I've had in Atlanta. The bowls of rice they bring you are smaller than the soup bowls. You also have to ask for more rice. The waitress didn't bring us any until we asked for it. She acted like you normally have to pay for more rice! They give you the smallest amount of rice I've ever seen. The fried rice wasn't actually fried. It was over cooked brown rice with a little egg thrown in. The waitress was horrible. She didn't come ask if the meal was ok, once. She didn't refill our drinks. She didn't offer dessert or coffee or tea. She was unable to tell us what vegetables were in the meals. She didn't know the menu items at all. She took forever to get our check and money so we could leave. Most of the employees that were there looked like sad teenagers or 20 year olds. The owners or managers were there but didn't go to any tables and ask if the food or service was ok. They just watched us get crap service. My whole plate of food got taken away in the end and no one asked if my food was acceptable. Save your money and go to a different chinese place that's got the same mediocre food but better service. read more

For Chinese food in the Tennessee valley, this is among the best for being authentic and tasty. It is slightly overpriced, but the atmosphere is fine and the food is good. This is probably the best Asian food in Decatur but can be a little on the pricey side. I've probably been here at least a handful of times with my wife, who loves sushi. She is always pleased with the sushi and I haven't ever had bad food here. I didn't give it a five star because it's never just knocked my socks off but it is a solid and consistent 4 star. I go here every month or so. I really like the spicy salmon sushi roll, and my husband loves the spider roll. The seafood bird nest is a really good value. You get lots of different seafood, and it tastes great. When I went with a friend she ordered a noodle soup bowl. It was pretty much impossible for her to pick up the noodles either with chopsticks or any combinations of knife, fork, or spoon. Maybe that's a dish only for experts? Pretty good overall. read more

I go to Fulin's frequently and have never been overly impressed by their entrees, but the sushi is fantastic! This is by-far the best sushi in Decatur, and even better than I have found venturing out to Madison as well.
