Pleasantly surprised as my boss and I were driving through going back to Huntsvile and just picked this place. They definitely care about their food and all employees are great. I was not that hungry so just got appetizer meatballs. Wow, crispy on flat side as they are cut in half but I was very impressed overall. I was in town on business with a local Salesman. He suggested MM. I'm like hell yeah. Love the place. I had the Holy Shitake Muahroom pizza and my feinds had a nice salad a pepperoni pizza. I've been a regular here for a while. It's not supposed to be comparable to the low quality cheese and overloaded ratios of the cheap chains... but somehow they're moving towards it. Passing through Decatur while traveling and had a great visit. Took a while to seat a party of five but otherwise excellent service. Great beer selection. If hungry, I recommend an appetizer (loves the pretzel bites with spicy cheese sauce) because our pizzas took a while. They let you do half and half pizzas which is great when trying to accommodate a larger family and those looking to try different things. Overall a great experience! read more

Very pleasantly surprised. Came in on Labor Day after trying to go to a few other restaurants only to find them all closed for the holiday. The Mellow Mushroom was open, and the young staff was very obviously overwhelmed with the influx of people. In spite of that, each person we encountered was friendly and helpful, doing their best to take good care of us. My hopes were not high when it took 10 minutes for someone to come to our table, however, given how busy it was, totally understandable. Our server was friendly and helpful. I expected a long delay for our food, given the staff being stretched to their limits, however our food came in a reasonable timeframe, and was prepared with precision and care. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip to share, and the house pizza. The dip was hot and bubbly, and the bread was perfectly toasted and crispy. When our pizza came out, the ingredients were fresh, and the crust well cooked and slightly crispy on the bottom. The 20something staff really pitched in to work as a team to take excellent care of us. All in all, the best meal we've had in Decatur over a holiday weekend. If I lived here, they would totally have my repeat business. read more

Visiting from San Diego, CA with family. We had a great experience with the food and service was outstanding. Had the bruschetta and cheese bread for appetizers. The bread had perfect balance of cheese and garlic. The bruschetta was great as well. As for entrees, the Cali Club, Mowie Waowie pizza were excellent. The pizzas are stone baked and the thin crust is soft yet crunchy with the perfect mixture of textures and flavors.
