It could be so much better, so I'll start with the pro's- Pro's: - Simply the best selection in town, hands down. Ever type of gun or accessory you can think of and plenty in stock (no waiting to receive your gun). Guns, bags, supplies, ammo, targets, they have it all. A store for shooters. - Great prices, great location - Good gunsmith services Con's: - Absolutely horrible customer service. Every single time I've been in there no one tries to help you our asks if you need assistance. You could walk around for an hour without an offer of assistance. Why?, because all the employees are busy "talking" with all the good ol boys hanging around, sharing stories, and enjoying the camaraderie. Asking for assistance is clearly an "interruption" to their socializing. I watched one customer get "assistance" from someone at the shop while surrounded by the mob, all giving their opinions too. Uh, if you don't work there, you have no business "selling". Very unprofessional. If you can get last the social group, I think you'll find this shop unbelievable, but good luck. read more

Been to a few ranges and this place is a diamond in a rough. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, Raymond who's ex military was extremely helpful and laid back. After today will be my go to indoor range. Highly recommend this place if your looking for a range in the energy corridor. read more

Pros - Staff was super friendly and had a nice selection of firearms/accessories. Cons- I did not price check everything but I was looking for a PMag for my New AR and Full Armor Firearms had them.... BUT... they were 3.5x what I paid for it online. Becoming a first time gun owner can be nerve wracking to say the least! We walked in knowing we wanted a handgun for home defense but had no clue what type of gun we wanted. My husband and I went to Full Armor Fire Arms to purchase a fire arm for home protection. We were helped by Eugene. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different guns and very patient with all the questions and concerns that we had when making our purchase. The best thing about this place... Not only can you purchase a fire arm... You can take your class for your CHL (they have classes almost every day), there's a range, there are intructors to show you how to properly hold, shoot, and load your fire arm... This is a great place for firearm beginners, novices, familiars and experts. This place has pretty much everything you would want in a firearms dealer. They have friendly and knowledgeable staff and the owner, James, is usually right there behind the counter ready to help customers. He and his employees seem to have a great camaraderie and its a great atmosphere, the are all very welcoming and friendly and helpful. The store itself has a great selection of different varieties of arms and ammo, then they have their own range in a different area of the store, on top of that they offer beginners handgun classes, and daily CHL classes for only $69. The range rates are pretty good too at $14 an hour per person. All in all I had a great experience there and I plan on going back for all my firearm supply and training needs. read more

Being relatively new to the world of guns, I did my research and found that there are a number of reputable firearms dealers in Houston. However, what sets this place apart is their friendly straight forward attitude and customer service. I stopped in yesterday and was helped by Eugene. He spent nearly an hour with me, explaining how different parts of the gun work, trying to understand what I wanted to buy (vs what he could sell me), and answered all of the questions I had. Two things that stand out to me - 1) they have free shooting lessons. In case you're not super comfortable yet around guns, their very reasonable range/rental rates come with free hands on instruction (vs some places that solely watch you via cctv or charge for this) 2) outstanding customer service, judgement free zone, all walks of life. Ask any questions you like, don't need to know anything beforehand. And no macho commando BS, upselling, or attempt to intimidate. No commission based sales = they sell you what you need instead of what they need you to buy. While I did not buy a gun yesterday, when I'm ready to I'll be looking up Eugene at Full Armor Firearms. read more

I have now made 3 visits to Full Armor Firearms on Katy Freeway in Houston and every time the service has been great. Chris took care of of me on the most recent visit and he was very helpful explaining the differences among the 4 models I was looking to buy. Any of the 4 would have been good choices, but I chose the Smith and Wesson M & P 2.0 / 9mm pistol. My review is for the gunsmith side at Full Armor. The work completed on my firearm was done well, but the amount that I was charged was almost double what I was quoted (estimated $110, was charged $200) and it took almost twice as long as estimated (estimated 6 weeks, work was completed in just over 10 weeks). First thing! When I walked into this store I immediately felt welcomed! A few months ago I ran into one of their guys who was selling a package for the grand opening of the range so I bought it. I have always wanted to learn how to shoot but the last couple of stores/ranges I walked into, nobody said a word to me so I left. The first time I went to shoot, there was a young red headed instructor that took me thru a FREE lesson....yes I said FREE! It was exactly what I needed to start. If I could give these guys 0 stars or negative stars I would. Do not buy anything from them. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. I bought a SBR Sig MPX from them. Dropped over 3k on that gun and red dot. After buying it, we found the barrel had messed up threads when I went to shoot it at their range, it would not thread on. Ok, no big deal. Things happen. They said they would fix it. It took them months to fix a burr on the threads. Called a few times and they did not even know where the gun was a few times. Finally it got fixed after tons of excuses. I was ok with the delay, and still was going to do business with them. I went in and talked the owner about buying a PS 90. He first question was, "do you really want want?" In an arrogant connotation. Uh ya, I do. I just dropped over 3k in there about 2 months ago, so I was a serious buyer. He asked me what I wanted to do with it. I said I wanted to hunt with it, coyotes, hogs etc. I know it's an undersized caliber, but I grew up in the country and killed tons of animals with a 22 rimfire. I don't need a lecture from a city boy about calibers. I just want to buy the gun. The owner goes on to tell me how hard they are to get and that he is only allotted so many guns from their distributor or some stupid statement. Just tell me if you can get the gun or not. Some guys rolled up that knew the owner. He just walked off and talked to them. I waited about 10 minutes and he never came back to talk to me about the gun. I then left and ordered the PS 90 from Cabela's on my phone in my truck, in his parking lot. Fast forward to getting my tax stamps in for my MPX in. I go to pick up the gun and suppressor. As we are doing the paperwork, a worker just so happens to walk by and see that the suppressor needs a spacer instead of the spring that it comes with. Good grief! Another screw up that they never originally checked from a custom build. Wow! Now they have to order the spacer from SIG which causes me to have to drive an hour over there next week. So I get home and the MPX will shoot and cycle but will not fire more than one shot unless I manually eject a shell. The trigger is loose after every shot and will only fire once. What a complete joke! I take the gun to another gun shop because I'm done with Full Armor Firearms at this point. He said the trigger bridge was missing. Another screw up on a custom. I can handle mistakes, but being arrogant and horrible at customer service is something I cannot handle. I am a small business owner and never treat my customers this way. By the way, their ammo is super high priced too. These are all facts. read more

I am working on getting my LTC license and being that I'm gun "newbie", it was necessary for me to learn handgun fundamentals, i.e., safety, loading/unloading, stance, etc., prior to enrolling in the LTC class. When I showed up to the FAF range, Ralph (Range Marshall) asked me a few questions and then he and I proceeded to the instruction phase in the range. His ability to teach a nervous "newbie' about gun safety and gun handling fundamentals really made me feel at ease and certainly built up my confidence. With a couple of more hours on the range, I think I will be in good shape to complete the LTC class. FAF is the very first gun shop that I have ever stepped foot into and I will be back. Like all other places, there are good and bad employees among the staff. in this place, the good ones definitely take the majority. One day i found out about this range which is very close to my house so i decided to try it. There was only one person in the the line ahead of me however he and the employee at the counter was gossiping about his guns, and I was left waiting for some minutes. There was actually another employee at the counter facing the other way doing something so she probably did not notice me. An employee from the gun shop section noticed me and immediately rushed to the counter, telling them to take care of me and dont let me wait. I am very please at such action. I was quickly checked in ( oh and the female employee was super friendly and polite). The range facility is pretty good. I had fun shooting my guns here. read more

Always a Bad Ass time here. Not only a sight for sore eyes, Maritza was more than polite when she greeted my father and I. She had a long line and was busy as can be and still went out her her way to ensure my father and I were taken care of. Raymond, handsome in all his ways, was able to find time to teach my father new drills with his EDC. Drills on drawing from the holster, stance and a few pointers on accuracy. Ray and Maritza make the time spent at the range a pleasant one. To our surprise my father and I were also greeted my members of Houston's most knowledgeable sales staff. Barcode and Tim are very helpful in finding exactly what you need based on whatever your individual needs are. As busy as things were I was also able to conversation with the owner James. They always make sure their customers feel at home and treat you like family. The gun range is safe and the sales floor is free from high pressure gun salesmen. The sales floor is full of employees that know their stuff and will help when you're ready to see something or ready to purchase. I had talked to the owner about bringing a firearm by to consign for sale. Today I had time and went to drop it off. The owner was not there and I spoke with a salesman at the check out counter and told him I was there to drop off a gun ( in a case) for consignment. The counter salesman was very professional and we started working on the paperwork immediately. The case was opened to get SN and other information. Several other customers came by to look at the gun and ask questions. It is a unique firearm. Another salesman came over and said "we" had researched the particular firearm and that is was a fact dangerous and blew up all the time. I was shocked. I know a lot about this particular firearm. I have never heard any bad reviews and never anything about a recall (there is none) or that the firearm was dangerous. I thought about it for a minute after the second salesman left (and the interested customers as well). If the firearm is really dangerous I should not sell it. And If I still wanted to sell it this was definitely NOT the establishment to do so. So I packed up the gun and left. When I returned home I spent an hour researching and I can not find any documentation to confirm what the second salesman said so I just chalk it up to a know it all that really does not know anything. Just a bad experience. And I think it was very unprofessional. If he thought the gun was bad then substantiate it and really help the customer. That was not done. I will not go back and waste my time again. read more

He has helped her and her friend on several occasions as we've tried to learn and understand our new firearms and as we prepare for our license to carry course. Unprofessional. I have been bringing my guns here for well over a year to have them worked on. On my most recent visit I brought my rifle in to have a minor modification done that I didn't feel comfortable doing myself. I was told it would be ready in a weeks time. After not hearing from them after a week I called to see what the hold up is. I was told by an employee that he checked with the gunsmith and my gun was one of the next ones in line and they would call me when it's ready. Something didn't seem right and after another week I decided to just show up instead of calling. After speaking with the gunsmith it turns out that the stock on my gun was cracked in the process of having work done and that a new one had to be ordered from the manufacturer. I was told I would be SOL until the part came in and they couldn't give me a timeframe as to when that would be. Nobody called me to tell me that it had been broken, nor did they apologize. I understand mistakes happen and I wouldn't be upset if somebody had called me to simply inform me of the situation. I will only be returning here to pick up my gun when it is finally finished. I bought a CAI Uzi at the GRB last weekend for $685....same gun I saw at Full Armor Firearms for almost $1000.....update: they are asking $899 (!!!) for a CENTURION 39 SPORTER that you can get anywhere from $599 to $649 online....if you want to pay a 33% markup, then go on with yo bad self lol read more

Lets start with the good...their showroom is excellent...they have a wide variety of firearms and awesome displays...I did not use the range as I was just looking for an accessory for my wife's gun...thats unfortunately about all the good I experienced...I was greeted at the door, but no one seemed to care to offer any help...the employees seemed more interested in checking out their guns and racking slides...I get it...working at a gun shop would be a lot of fun and I would love to check out all the different guns, but I'm old-fashioned and think that if there is a customer in your store, that a certain professional decorum should be expressed...anyways, after about 10 minutes of looking at different products, I asked a young guy if he had a certain item (the price was only $109)...he said, "oh no, we don't carry anything like that", without even checking the computer or asking another employee if they can assist...there were literally 5 or 6 employees just hanging out...as I walked out the door, I saw exactly what I was looking for...it was in a glass case, so obviously it is a highly sought after item, or expensive enough and small enough to steal...needless to say, I walked out pretty ticked off...this is the only store in the Houston area that carries this particular brand and accessory, but I'd rather buy it online than go back to that store...its unfortunate because this store looks excellent...although their prices are considerably higher than other stores like Academy or Boyert... read more

Overpriced. Anderson lowers for $120! Can be found in the area for $50-$60. Everything is overpriced. Ask what single stack 9mm they have. They say "oh Definitely XDs" They guy hands me a .45, then a .40, all of this after i said i did not like Springfield XD handguns, then they say oh we don't have any in 9mm. Overpriced with poor service. take your business elsewhere. Large selection but very pushy, and the staff would much rather giggle with each other and regulars trying to impress each other.
