I love this farm. It's the perfect hybrid of local CSA and customizable grocery delivery. They bring what's in season from our local farms and then a selection from other west coast farms to make sure that there's something for everyone. I've had the occasional lackluster fruit or veggie, but overall the produce quality has been pretty great. The website has tons of interesting info, from the farm blog to produce storage tips and recipes, they really do a great job of connecting us to our food system. I will admit that my grocery budget has gone up a bit. At the same time, I'm motivated to cook more and eat out less so I'm saving money overall, living a more healthy lifestyle, and actually enjoying my fruits and veggies. If you are on the fence about trying something other than the norm, this is the farm for you. read more

I've had such a great experience with Full Circle. I initially decided to try this company because of the Groupon deal of a half price box. I've been with them for about 4 months now. Only once did I have a single pear that had a spot of mold. It wasn't very big and I'm not surprised that it was missed. The produce has always been so tasty. The delivery happens first thing in the morning, straight to my porch. Usually before my husband even leaves for work at 5am, so I wake up to a box of fresh produce right on my kitchen table. We're eating better and I've had fun finding new recipes to try. Some people have commented that the fruit arrives hard. I like that. We just can't eat everything right away, so the fact that it comes in a little under ripe is perfect. I can just let it ripen in the fridge. I haven't had a problem with spoilage either. In fact, there have been times when I still have some fruit in my fridge when my next box comes (I'm on an every other week schedule) and it's fine. The only hiccup I have sometimes is that I forget to change my box contents in time. If I don't request change out certain items that I know we won't eat, I've never had a problem finding friend who are more then willing to take it off my hands. It's a little pricey, but I've been so happy with the delivery and quality that I've stuck with it. read more

Okay, some people's reviews do not make a whole lot of sense to me. First of all, organic produce spoils more quickly than produce that has been genetically modified or pesticide laden. If it is spoils after you get it, then I don't see what the big deal is, you maybe should order a smaller box or make an effort to eat the ripe items first. Secondly, not all of the produce comes from washington, but they do not claim it does. The website states EXACTLY where the produce comes from, if you want washington only, then you can make that happen through substitutions. Most people do not like receiving potatoes, squash, winter greens, and root veggies every single week for 6 months, so FCF has options. It is up to you to decide what you want. Lastly, I have received some damaged items and/or past ripe. If you go online and shoot them an email about it, they always make good for it--giving you a credit or something extra next time. Canceling a box for a week is as quick as a short email to the farm and it is taken care of. I've been pleased with this service for 2 years now. It helps me build meals around vegetables within minimal effort and also i get to try things I may not choose from the store. read more

The wife and I have been using this since mid January this year (2010) and we get door delivery service (we live in the 6th floor in a condo building) every other week. IT IS AWESOME. Produce has been good--just what I expect from a farm--it's as the stuff came straight from the field (so you need to wash). There's nothing too special, just good wholesome food. There are some complaints that some of the food isn't local, but that's because of the type of food, season, and region. I do appreciate that I can the options and selection FCF offers. And there are some local options for the winter, but our farming season is best during summer and fall. And FCF fully discloses where all the food is from--either FCF, PNW, or beyond (we have received fruit from Central America--seems like they could find a US organic source, but maybe not). Also, you can add other items you your order, such as local grains and cheeses. We haven't tried it yet, but maybe this summer. The Full Circle Farm website is the best for managing your subscription service and specific orders. Just log on, view your upcoming order (it lists what foods are grown at FCF or just in the PNW, those not marked are from further away). You can make some substitutions and it clearly shows what you are switching out. It is very easy. My only wish is that for more detailed info on where the food (outside of FCF) is from-- what farm, city, country, etc. That would help me make better choices--"am I craving that fruit from Honduras, because if so, I will order it. And I'm glad and fortunate that I have that option. If not, I'll just get something more local." But now I would feel that I can make more whole hearted decisions. We researched several different CSA deliveries and we are very pleased with Full Circle Farms and we recommend this to all our friends who are interested. I think the price is very reasonable. And there are so many options--in terms of produce, delivery or local pickup, and frequency-- and the website is super helpful. We tryout new foods every week. Plus, they send along recipes corresponding to the food in the delivery box. If they had more detailed info on the food sources, I would give it 6 stars and I would give my friends gift subscriptions to FCF. OTHER NOTE: we thought they skipped a delivery so we called them up to complain. They delivered us a new box that same day. It turned out, that the delivery person just left the box down by our mailbox. So we called them up to day that we found it, but they gave us the 2nd box for free anyways. GREAT SERVICE!!! I have been getting Full Circle for about 5 or 6 years now. I really enjoy not having to go shopping every week just to get more fresh veggies. When we started getting delivery, I had a hard time working that many fruits and veggies in to my family's diet but I knew that I could do better. Now, years later we get the biggest box and use every bit of it before our next box is delivered. We have a family of 4. The customer service is really great. If there is an issue, I can just call and they will credit me. One time our box was stolen and they gave me a full refund which was really nice because it was not their fault. Over the years they have made mistakes but it is only once or twice a year that it happens, not enough for me to get upset about. So far I have not ordered any of the other non produce items so I can't speak about them but the selection of fruits and veggies is great. I enjoy eating seasonally and not worrying about whether or not the food is organic. I look forward to the asparagus in the spring and the many root veggies all winter long. Right now I am looking forward to stone fruit season which is right around the corner. I have learned how to cook things like Jerusalem root and rhubarb. If I forget to change the order, it is not a big deal because I have already set the things that I never want in the box (like pomegranates, too much work). I came down with the flu and couldn't pick up my box the first time around, so I managed to drag myself out of the house for the second chance location. I checked the address twice, had a map with me in addition to my GPS. After circling around the unlit backstreet where this second location was supposed to have been located for about 15 minutes, I gave up and went home. I called them to see if I could drive to their warehouse but they'd stated my produce was donated to charity. When I asked for a partial credit or refund, they forwarded a request to a manager and never got back in touch either via phone or email. After several follow up calls and emails, I finally resorted to calling my bank and disputing the charge. Keep in mind this was only my third box, but the produce I actually received was not all that great. In fact, some of it was past expiration or close to kicking the bucket. Maybe that was just a bad month, but I've definitely found better produce at Pike Place, and the customer service at either Spud or Pioneer Organics has them beat. While I want to support our local farms, I cannot in good faith recommend the Full Circle Farm CSA service to any of my friends due to such an extremely poor experience. Sorry guys! read more

We've been really happy with Full Circle. One of my favorite things about Full Circle is the ability to customize orders. There's just certain produce we'll never eat, so I love that I can swap it out for extra pears, another avocado, etc. All our experience with customer service has been great, too. I love the options of being able to customize your order and purchasing other items from the Green Grocer. I also like that they're very upfront about where the fruit comes from. Everything was fresh and well packaged. I especially appreciated that the milk and soup bones were packed in ice: I used to get milk from Smith Brothers Farms, and the box would just sit on the doorstep all day at whatever temperature the day happened to be, so not having to worry about the milk spoiling during the day is a nice change. The fruit was especially fantastic; I don't think I've ever had such sweet oranges. As soon as the box got home I think I had two oranges and two kiwis in one sitting. The only thing I would change is that I wish I could go into the system myself to change scheduling, payment info, and other logistical stuff like that, but it's very simple doing all that through them. I did some calculations and found that the box delivery is actually cheaper than buying produce at the grocery store every week. Hopefully I can convince the boyfriend that this is the way to go. read more

My husband & I were excited to find an organic produce company that would deliver where we live. We only wanted delivery once a month. For us it was a test to see how well this would work for us. Saying we were disappointed, is an understatement. The communication skills of this company leave a lot to be desired. I received a message saying that they couldn't find our place and were unable to deliver. So I called & gave detailed directions on how to get here. I was told they wouldn't know when they would be delivering in our area. They would call when they could deliver. We requested they leave the order on our front poruch; pushed away from the edge toward our front door. They left it on our back pourch, someplace we never recieve delivery's. We didn't even know they had started delivering. We found it 9 days after someone had made a delivery. Not a very nice smellig package. When I called they were nice about giving a refund for the order. Because the directions hadn't been followed for the delivery. However they had no record of someone making this delivery. I belive they need to work on delivery info & give a heads up to new customers, by phone message, on when it starts. We won't be going back to this company again. I was so excited to get my first box after hearing about Full Circle for a while I work with an "imperfect produce" box service and thought I could use an upgrade. I shouldn't have bothered. The cheese was molded, the spinach was wilted flat and wouldn't rehydrate after cutting each leaf and soaking, the collard greens did rehydrate but arrived wilted. Of my 3 honeycrisp apples, one had a rotted spot, and two had holes punched into them from poor handling. Aside from that, it was OK. LOL. But the real story is what happened next. I called customer service to cancel after such a disappointment, and all I could get was a fight from the customer service representative. I had to ask 5 separate times to cancel my service. First, I got "what was wrong?" I explained and asked again to cancel. Then I got, "we want to make it right", I told her I didn't want it made right, I wanted to cancel. Then I got "I need to look at your order so I can refund it" and I started to get hot. I didn't want a refund, I just wanted to cancel, "But we want to make it right." I asked for her supervisor and got yet another fight regarding why I wanted to speak to her supervisor. I advised her that I simply wanted to talk to some one who would do as I asked and cancel the order without a fight. Then she agreed to cancel but I thought I had best talk to the supervisor anyways just to let him know that sometimes people actually do know what they want when they call. If you are into helicoptering customer service who is sure they know more than you do about what you want and eager to raise your blood pressure, along with deliveries of marginal fresh food, I'm certain they are fabulous. For my money, I'll keep working with Imperfect Produce and get what I actually pay for without a fight. Full Circle really set the standard for me for working with a more local outfit. I signed up to receive Full Circle boxes at my work and got my first box half off with a referral from a co-worker. So far I have loved everything I've received and have really enjoyed that I can substitute items each week if I don't want something. The only reason I removed one star is that my lettuce (similar to other people's complaints) wilted really quickly and did not look particularly appetizing. However, the rest of my produce has been fabulous and this has really saved me time shopping and helped improve my diet. read more

Full Circle has changed how my family lives. We are able to actually plan meals together, we have the ability to learn about the food together with our littles and teach them how food should taste. This program also shows them the importance of hard work. If you give your time and patience to something, like produce, you can grow some of the most amazing food you have ever tasted. They get excited when the box arrives, they unpack it for us and choose what produce our meals will feature. It's changed how our family functions together. And just like any delivery service, there is always one or two small things that I wish had been better quality, BUT their satisfaction guarantee is amazing, their customer service always so helpful. I've never had to pay for anything that didn't make us happy. I just cancelled my membership and would not recommend this company to anyone. I was only a member for a couple of months and in that time I received wilted, slimy, rotten and bruised products. In my latest order the romaine was slimy, apple bruised and several potatoes were the size of an olive. It takes a couple of emails before customer service will respond when you do have an issue. My first delivery experience was a big disappointment. I recieved my box and the produce was wilted, not fresh at all! Delivery was supposed to be 8am-8pm, they came at 9:48pm (captured on my ring camera) Potatoes was scratched up, apple was bruised, pears was bruised and stem part showed early stage of rot. I had one avocado that was a size of a large egg. Very disappointed with the quality recieved. I canceled my service the very next day! read more

I've been receiving produce from FCF for almost a year, and have been more than pleased with the customer service and produce. There have been a few times that there was a mix up with items, but a call always took care of the problem--and a person would answer. Emails were always answered as well. For the number of weeks we've been buying, I believe there has only been 3 times that an error has happened. I've always been given the choice of a refund or the inclusion for the following week. A couple of weeks ago I received an abundance of kiwi that wasn't on my list... I contacted them about this (I was more than willing to pay for this), but instead they told us to enjoy the produce and made sure nothing was missing from the list. We've had weather issues, and they've been very communicative and timely about delivery times/availability. On the actual items received? Quality, top shelf stuff! You can't go wrong. read more

Run from this CSA. The produce was okay, but certainly not fresh. Our leafy veggies always arrived limp. So we stopped. The big issue is even after we stopped they keep charging. Twice now for us. It seems like a pattern, others on yelp and a complaint on BBB site (now two because I just submitted one as well). There are some other, better CSAs. We're on our fourth bi-weekly box. So far so good. One mix up (an omitted item) which was replaced in the next box. It is a little odd that they have all of these non-local options, which I guess is their way of trying to keep the customers "happy", but I just always substitute out any of the "foreign" items. While not-so sustainable, I guess it's still a smidgen better to support a local company (FCF) rather than buy the same long-distance produce from the mega-chain corporations. I am curious to see what happens once the colder weather hits... in which case I could re-evaluate my score. read more

I joined for a week and wasn't very impressed. Pros: The website is awesome. You have total control to customize what you want, manage your account, specify favorites, etc. This alone may make it worth it to many people. The price is right, as is the amount of produce you get. The grapefruit, pears, and blood oranges I got were the best I'd ever had Cons: The sald greens I got were partially rotten. All the mineolas were desiccated. Some of the produce was just bagged stuff from "Earthbound organics". I understand they want to provide variety but anyone can get Earthbound in a grocery store and it feel disingenuous to package it in a CSA. read more

This is the best CSA is town. I've tried a couple of other ones (Pike's Place and Pioneer Organics), and these guys have consistently delivered better produce. There are a bunch of pick up locations, and if you forget your box, there is a second chance pick up spot. We get a weekly box, and for two vegetarians, it is a great amount! read more

I haven't used FCF through the winter yet but I'll be sure to request more locally grown produce if that's possible. I've had two deliveries from Full circle and I like it that they use a nice insulated bag (which I probably paid for as hidden cost). My message for delivery was "leave it at the front porch" however, the driver leaves it at the side gate right by the sidewalk Really???? Furthermore, their restrictions to modify and cancel an order is completely ridiculous. I have to remember to cancel my order by Monday noon when the order is for Friday. Do you know busy people are on Monday mornings?? And more than one week in advance to plan for what my family needs one week later??? They have to stop assuming that people plan their lives around ordering groceries from full circle. I called and begged to just cancel my order on a Tuesday for my Friday delivery (4 days in advance mind you). AND they haven't even charged my card yet, but they are too busy modifying the deliveries for Friday to cancel my order. I think that's simply bullshit. I think this is a very badly run business. And by the way the prices for the groceries are way too expensive. It's not worth it if you live in the city. I rather shop at whole foods or qfc or even amazon fresh. read more

A man came to the door recently selling us the idea of fresh produce from the farm. Our first box arrived tonight. We are disgusted with what we received. A peach that was way past over ripe, or badly bruised. A romaine lettuce with the brownest stem showing how old it was. Really old. A zucchini with the stalk end cut off so the actual peeled part was showing - I guess to hide its age. An onion that was already soft. We moved to Washington from Southern California a year ago and have been happy with the amazingly fresh produce that's available here shopping at Metropolitan Market and farmers markets so we decided to give Full Circle a try. We have thrown out better produce than what we received. We should have checked some of the yelp reviews before signing up. read more

We signed up at the Seattle Home Show and cancelled after the first delivery. Pros Nice people! Both in person and on the phone! Very eager to please and to provide great service. Cons... Very unimpressive selection. Wilted lettuce that he threw at least half away. Two rotten tangerines complete with mold on them. Apples, onions, oranges were just fine. It's possible we simply expected too much and it's quite possible your experiences will be better. Just much easier to just shop at QFC and pick out our own produce. read more

I used to live in Tacoma, now I live in Anchorage, Alaska. I see so many negative reviews about the food going bad too quickly. Well here in Alaska pretty much all produce I buy at the store goes bad in a few days. The milk at our grocery stores is Washington milk and I often can't even find any that isn't going to expire in a few days, and I've even seen milk set to expire the same day. I have been getting Full Circle deliveries for a couple months and I have never had a problem. Most of the produce lasts a week or more, which greatly exceeds any produce available in the grocery stores here. None of the produce is local, being Alaska I guess, so it is delivered from the same places as your deliveries and it has much further to travel. And the convenience of fresh produce coming to your door every week can't be beat, I've even added local milk deliveries (though I wish I could automatically have it come each week without having to add it each time). I get the harvest box which is perfect for my family of four. My amazing 7 year old daughter decided to become a vegetarian June 2012, since she has gone meatless the rest of the family only eats meat a couple times a week (I could probably give it up but my husband never could) so we go through a lot of produce. I also enjoy that the produce is so varied. There are so many things I've never tried and I love receiving items I wouldn't regularly buy because then I get to try new things. For example, I never buy any squash besides pumpkin and I've bee having fun preparing a variety of squash recipes. Also, I had never heard of Rainbow Chard before getting these deliveries and it is the most beautiful green and I love making Rainbow Chard Alfredo, sooooo good! In my opinion if your going to nag, go shopping yourself at the store or at farmers markets. My experience has been awesome! read more

Spoiled food. I'll never order from them again. I just received my first order. A friend had warned me that the produce quality was really bad and said I should cancel my order. I should have listened to her. * The garlic is black and about 1/2 usable if I cut all the bad parts out. * The raspberrys have blue/green mold on them. * The spinach is blighted, looks like swiss cheese (insects have eaten about 10% of it, and has black spots all over it. I was never on board with this, but my wife talked me into it. The first couple of weeks were ok. But the last couple of boxes, very poor quality, shortages from the box that we are charged for then we have to take the time to call and try and get our money back. If you are out of the product don't charge us. If the quality is poor don't send it and don't charge us if you don't have decent quality. I have been in restaurant management for over 22 years, I would never give anything to a customer that was poor quality. It's not worth the upset customer. read more
