Fulton Green Market is a Persian grocery store with a small restaurant nestled in the corner, which they call Green Market. We used to come here all the time a few years ago until they mysteriously closed without warning. We heard they re-opened recently, so, the husband went there today to pick up some food. Their traditional kabob plate used to consist of rice, kabob, salad, and hummus; tomatoes were extra. This time around, they had gotten rid of the hummus for tomatoes. We ordered one combo plate (koobideh/ground beef skewer with chicken: $10.99) and 2 koobideh plates with 2 skewers each ($7.99 for one skewer + $3.99 for the second skewer.) The prices went up a few bucks since years ago when we last visited them but for roughly $11-12 a plate, it was still decently priced. The food itself was delicious, though, not spectacular, as we had last remembered it to be. Our 4-year-old also gobbled it up, and for every parent out there with a young child, you know it's a huge plus when you can get them to eat something other than chicken nuggets and pizza. One tip: be sure to add some butter to your hot, fluffy, saffron rice. It's a game changer! Also, their meat is halal. For anyone who's had Persian food, you know it's pretty pricy, about $20 a plate for dinner. For a place like Green Market that charges half the price, it's definitely worth checking out and visiting frequently.

I've have many kebabs in my life, and hands down these were the best I've ever had (not an exaggeration). The wife and I each ordered a combination plate, which were freshly prepared and grilled to order. The beef and chicken were cooked to absolute perfection. It's an amazing experience when you eat perfectly cooked chicken that's neither any bit dry nor underdone, but juicy, bouncy, and succulent; a very difficult feat for any chef to accomplish since chicken is usually a tad overcooked to play it safe. But not here; they are masters of the craft. So glad we each ordered our own meals. Portions we're large enough to split into two meals (which I usually do, but it was so good that I had to finish it all in one sitting). I will definitely be coming back for more and recommending this place to others. With so many Mediterranean/kebab places in the area, this place will be my go-to.

The best kabobs I've ever eaten in my (so far 38 years of) life.

I just enjoyed very yummy Persian food at Green Market, off Fulton Blvd., in Sacramento. The food was very affordable (around $10.99 plus an extra $4 or $5 for the extra beef kabob), and the meats were extremely extremely extremely tender and juicy. I've never had a better middle eastern beef kabob. I've eaten kabobs in the style of Moroccan, Egyptian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Israeli, Turkish, Iraq, (I'm probably forgetting some countries) and from other Persian restaurants: This little Persian deli/mini part really seriously turned out the best kabobs I have ever eaten (even outside of the United States) in my entire life. The guy at the outside grill, has some major skill! If you aren't in a hurry, (took about 20ish minutes to get our food) I highly recommend this place. I ordered the combination plate, added one more beef kabob.

Considering that I've worked in the area for over 10 years-I honestly had no idea the Carmichael…read moreFarmers Market existed. I only learned about it because a local cinnamon roll vendor sets up shop every Sunday at the farmers market,so what began as my search for an incredible cinnamon roll turned into me discovering the cutest little farmers market in Carmichael. This farmers market happens once a week on Sunday mornings from 9am-2pm. This market is located at Carmichael Park on Grant Avenue. Generally I'd say there are about 50 or so vendors each week at the market, though I have seen that number a little higher on random weekends. Free parking at this park is pretty plentiful as Carmichael Park has many parking spaces available. These vendors are pretty good-quite similar to the vendors that I've seen at the Midtown Farmers Market-fresh fruits and veggies,a few vendors making fresh foods, like the cinnamon rolls vendor that got me to this farmers market. They have a vendor who has massage chairs setup and offers massages to customers. Another vendor I love is an Asian Bakery, selling incredible milk bread and sells these great egg salad sandos on milk bread-solid stuff. The best vendor, though,as I mentioned earlier is the cinnamon roll vendor and it's fabulous. The lines for this vendor can be pretty long and they sell out every weekend-I fully recommend them. In closing,I f you ever find yourself in the Carmichael area on a Sunday morning and your a fan of farmers markets,do yourself a favor and stop on by the Carmichael Farmers Market-it's pretty good.

We were looking for a farmer's market that was open on Sundays as we were meeting up with a friend…read moreto work with her dog's neutrality in higher- stimulation environments, and Carmichael Farmer's Market came up during our search. I also liked that it was open later in the day compared to most other farmer's markets. Upon arrival, there was a good amount of people enjoying the breezy August day, and parking wasn't too difficult to find. We ended up parking along the perimeter of the park itself, since the farmer's market is located at Carmichael Park and the main lot was full. For a smaller farmer's market, there were still a good variety of vendors, and a handful of produce stands. Food and drink vendors were also present, and of course the matcha stand was popping. The matcha stand was called Luz & Leaf, and had a small but varied menu, including a seasonal mango matcha lemonade for the summer. I had to go for the London Fog Matcha Latte, since I love earl grey tea (and lavender syrup). This matcha latte was the perfect drink for walking about the farmer's market, and so smooth. The ice level was just right, and I'm so glad they had oat milk for me, as that has been my milk of choice these days for my coffee/matcha orders. There were only two girls manning the matcha stand, and they were working diligently to whisk matcha and get orders out in a timely manner. I absolutely did not mind waiting, and enjoyed watching the girls put together everyone's drinks. I also got a stamp card from them since I would definitely want to have more matcha from them again. The other vendor we ended up purchasing from was a sweet lady who sold green tea leaves, including Kan Cha, which is one of the rarest teas in the world. She works directly with small farms who grow the special tea leaves, and sells them at a really reasonable price point. I ended up getting a packet of the Kan Cha, and will be making some once it gets cold enough to make hot tea (she recommended to steep it in hot water for best flavor notes). As we were busy training with my friend's dog, we didn't quite experience as much of the framer's market as much as I wanted to, but I'm sure we will be back some other time. This farmer's market is super dog friendly, so it's a perfect environment for working on handler engagement and neutrality. The majority of the dogs seemed decently behaved, but I personally wouldn't bring my own dog to this farmer's market, especially since the majority of dog owners don't pay good enough attention to their dogs, and don't hold their dogs to a high standard of obedience like I do with my own dog. We had a few close calls where owners didn't care and literally allowed their dogs to stare at or wander close to my friend's dog, which is very rude. All in all, I'm glad to see this little farmer's market thrive, and would love to check out some of the other vendors next time we visit.
