Fun and Find has only been open a few weeks, from the same owners of Last Chance Store. Fun and Find has almost the same price scale as Last Chance Store (all item $12 on Friday, $9 on Saturday, $7 on Sunday, $5 on Monday, $3 on Tuesday, $1 on Wednesday, and closed on Thursdays). What makes this store super fun (other than digging through items to find great deals) is that it's located inside of a convenience store. Once you enter, Fun and Find is to your left/directly ahead, while the convenience store is to your right. So you can work to find some great deals, and then grab a soda and snacks at the convenience store after!

Novelty drinks, stationary, toys, basic clothing and sports equipment. Not everything was $5 or less today though. I guess that's the state of things. I ended up buying a big bag of mostly candy for $31. Some for me and some as quirky gifts for friends. Self-checkout was easy. Overall the store was clean and well-stocked, though a little messy/disorganized. Some stuff, especially in the candy "bins" was not in the right bins, which makes the prices confusing. One of the candies I bought, I thought it was going to be $4 but it was $2.50. And a toy I bought, I had no indication of price at all, and it turned out to be $4. Their stock changes regularly so it's fun to just check in every so often to see what they have. And if you see something you're interested in, it's a good idea to buy, as it may not be there the next time you visit. Staff I talked to were polite and professional. Parking was easy - it's in a big strip mall sort of shopping center.

I let the woman at the counter know I am there with an order and have an order # in hand. She calls Monique over. I walk up to Monique with order number in hand and she doesn't even make eye contact and continues to walk away from me towards the counter to discuss with the cashier. Alright, I follow her up and let her know and am slammed with an attitude "do you have an ID?" And I said "well I'm picking up this order for my mother" and before I can even finish my sentence she rudely exclaims she cannot give me an order without an ID. I explain my mother is bed ridden and I have an order number and she refuses. I get my mother on the phone and magically Monique is able to provide the order after discussing it with her store manager. On top of that, she states "you need to be nice" after I asked her for the corporate number. She gave me the number to IT support. Pulled out a giant binder with tons of numbers in big bold writing I could read from 4' away and still couldn't give me the correct contact number. Unsure if that was on purpose or if she was feeling extra unprofessional. Last week we had a similar interaction when purchasing items labeled $5 and charging for $7 or more. We asked the cashier to fix the price because it is clearly labeled on the sticker with the SKU $5. Manager did not want to come talk to us, leaving the cashier awkwardly having to state the manager wasn't coming and he'd have to charge us $7 for a sticker that says $5. We had to ask him 3 times to get the manager up to the front and he finally came. Was not willing to fix all the prices so those items were left behind

It's like what happened to local Walmart. Cashier was friendly and did her best with the customer line since she was the only cashier. It's like the Japanese version for Five and Below. I also heard it is owned by Walmart. I read online that they have coffee pour overs and coffee filters for cheap. I found a ceramic mint green one that was $6 and the coffee filters were $2.25 for 90. I also picked up some chair feet covers to prevent scratching up my floors. I went a little crazy. I also bought a rice cooking mug that allows you to cook about 2/3 cup of uncooked rice and it comes out to about 2 cups cooked rice. I also bought a few odds and ends and some supplies I needed for my work tote for organization. They sell small cooking pans, some camping gear, travel items, small organization containers, laundry items for air drying laundry and mesh bags. They have some cute kitchenware and even nail kits and accessories. I did the self check out which they had a sign next to it saying bags were $0.15. I brought my own bag in. I will probably end up visiting Daiso a few times a year as there are so many cool things to help make life easier.
