The sales lady looked upset that she had to help me because she was sitting down visiting with another woman. The blue plates were not priced and I asked the sales clerk what the price was. When she shared the price of the first plate, I said "ohhh". She interpreted this to mean that I couldn't afford to shop in the store. She looked at me and said, "If you think that is expensive, you won't be able to afford anything in here." I could not believe my ears. I asked the price of a second plate and tried to move on. She told me, "That plate isn't for sale." I'm a 57 year retired woman visiting from Los Angeles. I'm here in town for lots of shopping and the Sea Glass Festival, I'm pretty sure I have the money to buy a few blue plates and whatever else I want. Never in my life....today was an absolute first. Do not shop here, unless you enjoy being treated disrespectfully and having to search for help.

I also like that they had a donation ticket kiosk at checkout , where you could pick a tag and that food pantry item would be purchased for a Rhode Islander in need. The employees I interacted with were pleasant and efficient. The prices were on par with other competitors. They also have an off street parking lot directly across the street from the warehouse. This business fills up quickly (they have a waiting line outside when they hit capacity) with patron, so my best tip would be to arrive early, so you have ample time to browse all of the different sections of the warehouse.

This store is in the center of the of the cutest town in Connecticut, Mystic. I didn't even know where to look when I walked inside, there were so many beautiful, unique peices. The cutting boards, and other kitchen tools are so tastefully made that I would keep them as decor. They have beautiful sterling silver jewelry, from earrings to bangles. There's some stunning pottery, as well as hand blown glassware. As expected most of the items are a bit pricey, but not outrageous. Their packaging is gift ready! On the contrary, the store appears well organized, and it was easy to find prices on items. Admittedly, I'm no antique expert, but to my untrained eye, they had a good selection of antique furniture that was in good condition, and not unreasonably priced, in this layman's opinion. In no way would I describe this shop's wares as 'junk,' as other reviewers have, at least during my visit. A man who I presume was the owner stayed behind the counter during the entire 15 minutes or so we were there. He did not greet us, but then again, he let everyone browse at will, so I did not have any interaction with him. My wife particularly liked a set of four jadeite salt, pepper and other condiment shakers that were a beautiful shade of green like pistachio pudding. Alas, at $150, they were out of our budget.
