    Fishing kayak trip
    Tabitha P.

Fun and sun provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the open water and rent a double kayak for our fishing trip. They were super helpful and answered all of my questions about the kayak paddles racket straps and loading unloading. I will definitely see them again

Rob was great! He answered questions over the phone prior to our visit. He was friendly and personable, it seems like it is a family run business- which always makes experiences better. Covid precautions were taken i.e roped off areas, setting appointments prior to showing up so that multiple families are not hanging around waiting. His son showed us a map before leaving the shop; Rob even warned me about the wind and which areas (river bends) had the possibility of being a harder paddle on the paddle board! Transportation and directions on where to park were clear and concise. After we were done, we simply gave them a call (he thanked us for the business and was genuinely interested on our experience, asking how I handled the paddle board with the wind- even bringing up my previous collegiate rowing experience!), brought our kayak and paddle board up the small ramp and continued on with our day. I can not recommend this company enough!

Wow! This trip through the Scarborough Marsh was a blast! My wife and I rented their awesome new fishing kayaks. They are stable, comfortable and include 2 rod holders and plenty of storage for the items you can't leave behind. I would definitely recommend you take this trip earlier in the summer as it can get pretty hot and the green head flies can be a little vicious at times. Rod warned us about them and they were pretty much kept at bay with a high DEET bug spray. My wife and I caught a couple schooling stripers which definitely put up a good fight! We both would recommend this place for anyone looking to get outside and experience the beautiful scenery that is the Scarborough marsh. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and bug spray! Thank you Rod!

This place is very fun and beautiful. There is a lot of fish here to catch. Would definitely recommend.

A group of us were looking for a kayak rental near Old Orchard Beach; and Fun and Sun Rentals totally met are needs. We had the option of kayaking in the marsh or bay, and we chose the bay. The workers dropped off our kayak at the beach for us, and we all took turns kayaking while the rest of us hung out on the beach. Renting or kayak for 4 hours was perfect for us. Our price included the boat, life jackets, packets, drop-off, and a dry bag. The service was excellent and workers were friendly. We had such a fun time paddling around!

I truly can't explain how kind Rob the owner is, he truly wants you to have a great time. We got to the wrong location (my fault) and Rob let me know the correct way to get back to his shop. We got there and his employee greeted us and let us know about the process. Super easy, we followed the van across the street to a lot you can garantee a spot and Rob's employee unloaded a very heavy 2 person kayak alone into the water. We didn't take the river trip because the tide was too low, but Rob really suggests the river trip. We went out near the Marina and LOVED IT. We will be back, most likely today for bike rentals! I think it's awesome they will come drop off kayaks to people. For 4 hours for a nice two person kayak especially made for paddeling against the current was 60$, which is great! So worth that, and more. Thank you guys for being flexible and serving us 5 minutes after calling. Just great vibes, great people, great time!

I checked into most of the Casco Bay Area Marinas and found that Sunset had the best options for my needs. There are others with a larger compliment of services, but since I have REO as my boat yard and Marine repair service, Sunset has exactly what I need. -They have well maintained Dock & Gangways -The shore power & water lines are first rate -Bathrooms & laundry are spic & span 100% -Allow outside maintenance to come work on your boat -Extra dingy dock available -Transportation carts for your stuff always available -Marine equipment and beverages always stocked -Fuel is the cheapest in Casco Bay!!! -Long term clientele who are welcoming to new members, very helpful and very friendly -Dan & Elaine are great business people. They care about the boat owners and it shows -They also provide routine and special weather updates, and will contact you immediately out of concern for your vessel, especially when a big storm is brewing -It's the small touches: Dan & Elaine provided a spectacular 4th of July fireworks show out of pocket because of the Wuhan Virus limitations this year. Best show ever! Just ask everyone at Sunset D Dock! If you're fortunate enough to have a boat, try to get into Sunset. It's my first Marina experience and it has set the bar really high. Thanks Elaine & Dan!i

Sasha helped me and she was great, making sure everything worked for my body and my needs. I also brought in my daughter's stuff because we had problems with the boots and bindings (marketplace purchase because we weren't sure she'd stick with it). I expected to have to buy new bindings. They didn't sell me anything that I didn't need and they shared all of their experience to help us solve the problem. I am SO thankful for everything they shared, there is no way we'd have reached that point on our own. We worked with Travis and Matt who were really awesome. I definitely recommend coming here if you have any issues or unique needs, or if you need a new setup or are a beginner. Also, stop in just for your regular stuff! They have a huge selection of all of the layers and accessories. Obviously there are expensive things, but it isn't an uncomfortable sales environment at all.

I have conservatively spent over $4000 at this establishment over the past several years, and I keep coming back despite the profound lack of customer service that I've experienced previously. But they're the only show in town, and what can you do right? Well, today was the last straw. I was literally the only customer in the store. Not only did nobody ask me if I need it any assistance, but while I was browsing in the children's section, one of their technicians walked by me, kicked me in the shins, bumped me into the clothing rack and didn't apologize or say excuse me. He didn't even acknowledge that I was there. It's bad enough that most ski bums are drunk or high while they're working, in addition to being allergic to basic customer service. It's even worse when they assault you while they're ignoring you. I will never, ever ever ever set foot in an Arlberg again.

I found a pair of therm-ic heated ski socks battery size 700 on this website "park2peak" when…read moregoogle searching. The price was discounted vs other major websites so I went ahead and checked their return policy just incase anything went wrong or price was too good to be true. Upon the item being received I noticed the manufacturer box was torn at the top and didn't have a seal, so I immediately assumed this was an opened item and knew I would need to test them prior to just taking on my ski trip. I fully charged the battery, put on in home and waited for any noticeable heating. This was my first time trying the socks route as I typically install heated insoles in my ski boots. This was a new ski boot for me and the socks were cheaper at $215. No noticeable heating at all, batteries died at 4hrs vs 7. I didn't take them on the trip obviously. When I got back, I figured maybe I did something wrong and fully charged again...same experience. I emailed customer service and my response from "Jay" was a very excited yet not apologetic reply to use the manufacturer warranty route. A warranty is helpful after you have used things and its then faulty, its not helpful as a solution to purchasing something expected to be brand new and expensive for an immediate ski season. Jays reply had also been quick to say "we dont accept used returns". I then emailed to confirm I was not sold an open box used item that was discounted due to this aspect and was not returnable, incase I had missed this. The same Jay replied that they only sold new items. So I chose to return my "new" socks that were faulty. I shipped back at my own $28 expense, and sent customer service the tracking. I then noticed I was receiving no replies to my emails which was odd customer service. I planned to re-order heated insoles from them vs trying socks again. I then checked their website and noticed no other socks or any insoles at all, they seem to only list one item of things they had. I then found reviews on yelp and realized this isnt actually a gear company it is a small town ski shop listing close out one off items. I then emailed that I would do a chargeback if I had no response to my return, and received a shocking reply that they were a small ski shop, this was the child of the parents who own the ski shop and that my return of ski socks would be a large financial hit to them and would have to throw them out, but would refund me. So safe to say I was attempted to be scammed by buying a pre-used and returned set of faulty heated socks, and they expected I would just hash it out with trying to get a replacement from the manufacturer. Ski shops are typically run by honest sport loving community so its very sad to see theres dishonest operators out there. Two stars instead of one because they did refund my money. But I would avoid buying here and expecting customer service to be helpful for any other purchase or expect quality gear. If you google search reviews you will see other issues...

I will never deal with park2peak.com ever again. Here is why…read more I reevaluated my interaction with park2peak.com and realized that when I was upset about when I saw the 18 day shipping on usps tracking (on the website it says 7 days) he offered me a suggestion. Which is ok. His weak suggestion was to refund my money, stop the transaction and for me to mail the box back on his dime and for me to find the slippers elsewhere. I felt this was putting me between a rock and a hard place. Wait 10 more days (already waited 7) for these slippers/save some money (which is not a rush for me) OR start looking again for them, which it was already hard to find, at the price I was looking for and relabel and mail the already shipped slippers back. To me this wasn't a suggestion, this was a "well there will be most people that will wait or most that will mail it back, we just lose the shipping back to us". Both of these put the responsibility back on the consumer. I guess what set me off was their non chalant attitude about it and also saying "practice Aloha" at the end of his message. This was after I said I will be leaving a negative review for him on this transaction (due to the delayed shipping). I then called him on his fake aloha behavior from his email and over online chat. He decided to use Aloha , when we started this chat to further taunt me. I now realize Jay is the owner. He also shared he has a "practice aloha" sticker on the company truck. Which I guess is his badge of Aloha honor. That also did it for me. What happened then was odd. He decided on his own to call me and left a message that he would be cancelling my order, refunding me, and saying he was going to reroute my package back to them. All of this Without asking me first. He told me this in a voicemail. So I called him back, asked for Jay. Not only was he self righteous that he is trying his best to make me happy but he was also trying to take me in circles over and over to prove his point. Instead of just saying "hey, I'm sorry this all happened, what would you like us to do" he decided to continuously argue with me about his customer service, how he's doing a good job, and how cannot make me happy. He basically was saying "you said this and you said that" and saying I was being aggressive when I am just stating what my assessment of his company's policies / solutions are. Basically Straight out of the entitled and non-aloha textbook. Aloha is best described to as this to me... Embedded in the word Aloha is the Hawaiian word alo, which means face, and ha, which means breath. Ancient Polynesians believed that all people are connected and that mana (power) resides in the breath of life. This was a not what the faceless website owner in Maine was trying to do. For him to tell me to "Practice aloha" in a review about them is an absolute joke. I Live Aloha everyday(message me for more details) but my Aloha doesn't mean I'm also a pushover. He needs to stop throwing Aloha around like he gets it. The slippers arrived in 17 days. No box, just a plastic mailer with the slippers in them. Why would you mail Olukai slippers this way, I have no idea. All in all, I will not ever be going back to park2peak.com . Heed my warning, they will not help you out, they will most likely give you attitude, and then give a weak suggestion that will be putting responsibility on you. 10/14- 11/14 17 days from order to arrival
