This place needs some updates. Went to Ultimate 4D- Experience at Excalibur and I can say, I would never go back. So you check in and you wait for one of the three short movies. Today it was Lego, Journey 2 and San Andreas. The movie last 15 minutes, you pick up these 3d glasses and adventure begins or not. When you sit down and the movie starts you get sprayed with water, fan blows at you so you can feel the wind, this plastic piece pocks you in the back that comes out of the chair. The small theater is not even dark because of the two open entrances/exits without doors. They need to take 4D out of its name. Secondly the Game Dungeon is filled by employees that don't wont to be there. They are so not friendly and waiting for the shift to be over. The ambiance sucks on a big level. The way they represent the Excalibur hotel its a shame. The game dungeon needs a major update they are still using change machine for quarters. Other places you swipe credit card or insert cash and the machine dispenses the plastic card easier and convenient then quarters. The scissor game for the reward has a small print on the bottom of the glass to explain how to play it, wow that is a rip off. The games cost one dollar to play. Great dungeon for the littles while the elders are gambling. Also an excellent place for us adults who do not gamble. Wide variety of games: coin pushing, whack a mole, equestrian races, you name it. 4 of us only spent $30 total for a couple hours of fun. Look at my large amount of tickets. I feel this place is UNSAFE at the moment. A great place to spend time with kids like in other reviews. But, I can't give the 2 more stars because they did not care about COVID Safety. The hand sanitizer near DQ counter is empty. With the 3 hours we spent there, I did not see anybody cleaning the arcade machines especially given that they are repeatedly touched by children. No sanitizer within 10 feet of any games. Being a indoor and very closed space without vents of fresh air, they need to come up with frequent sanitizing of the machines. At least spray and wipe on the handles, jockeys, steering wheels and parts where people handle the machine, would be good enough protection to call this a SAFE PLACE. read more

My kids love coming here and this always gets me for the most money in Vegas. I never realize how much that stupid minion stuffed animal will cost me when the baby sets his sights on it. I just say okay and keep handing over the cash. Don't get me wrong it is fun and well worth the money because your kids can win the prizes that they want. You just need to be the tough mommy. I am not. I like so see my boys happy and I enjoy having my turn at the games too. The game attendants are pretty nice. They help the kids and will let the little kids get on the counter so they can reach to play. I've never had a bad experience here. It gets crazy busy on the weekend nights. My little one likes it, so I like it. It may not be as expansive as the kid center like the one in Circus Circus, but that one gets a little nuts and I'm not really trying hear that see. What's real nice about it being relatively quiet is that the staff can be ultra attentive and extra friendly. The first time I saw the "Fun Dungeon" sign of course I was ecstatic. It's Vegas. It's Excalibur. It's a medieval theme. Torture room. Whips. Chains. Leather masks. Wait, did they have leather masks back then? I know leather for sure but masks? Anyway, this is where the needle on the record goes astray with the screeching sound. It was a dreaded Chuck E Cheese/video game/collect tickets for fun prizes type of place. Once I saw what type of place it was, it kind of reminded me of the Neon Boneyard Museum. It seemed like every other video game was out of order or something didn't work right like a button or two not registering. I found it ironic that some of the actual games that were considered classic worked better than some of the latest and greatest. As for the employees, all of them did not seem like they wanted to be there. Heck, I know the time I went was at 9 pm on Wednesday but come on! It's usually not a good sign if there are more employees than actual customers. At that point, it was just me and my 9 year old son along with another father son combo. There were at least 6 employees working that night and some of them didn't even look like they were working. I mean, just how many times can you wipe the cabinet of a stand up video game? Memo to the Excalibur higher ups. How long before you guys literally pull the plug on this place? I know you cant really be making that much money off of it. So right in the middle of the whole place they put in a Dairy Queen. Huh? Could they not think of putting anything else here that is kid appropriate? Nevertheless, I realized that I havnt had a blizzard in quite a while so I ordered a Butterfinger Blizzard for me and my son to share. It was pretty good like how I remembered it to be. Fortunately, the blizzard was a pleasant surprise. It's pretty sad if that was the only highlight of the evening that me and my son could talk about. As for the Fun Dungeon, there was nothing fun about it. To me, the Adventure Dome at Circus Circus is 10 times better than this place. I only took one picture. I came around 430pm on Sunday, June 7th with five other people. We had a few of the free game vouchers as we were staying in different rooms. We tried to play the roll a ball where the prizes are smurfs and m&ms. The lady helping us was Kim. She asked how many people were playing and we told her 6. She asked which six so we pointed to all of us (mind you we were the only ones sitting down). Once the raise started my ball did not come back out. I told her and she gave me a loud sigh, rolled her eyes, and went to get another ball. Once the game ended we realized that one of the kids we were with never even got a ball. Kim yelled saying "YOU SAID 5! THERE ARE ONLY 5 VOUCHERS!" Several of us got upset at her tone and assured her we said six more than once. She recounted the vouchers and realized we were right and then decided to THROW one of them back at us! We then decided to go play other games as we were disrespected in front of the kids and everyone else watching. One of the kids we were with really wanted to play it again though so we later went back. This time Hunng was working the game. We though oh great now we will actually have a good experience, however we were completely wrong! We sat down and she whispered some sort of smirk remark we couldn't catch. We then proceeded to give her our vouchers and she loudly stated "WHAT YOU GUYS DON'T HAVE MONEY. YOURE TOO POOR TO PLAY SO YOURE USING THESE FREE VOUCHERS." People walking by even stopped to see if what they heard was seriously what she said. I told her excuse me? And she simply walked away to start the game. Once Kim and Hunng realized their attitude was not something we would be okay with and that I was definitely going to bring up the issue with a manager, they started to avoid us and would not help us with any other games. They would stand from afar and give us a mean glare, We went to go find a manager and told him what had happened. He listened to us and told us he would go to talk to them. He also gave us some free game vouchers to make up for it. As much as the free game vouchers are a nice gesture, like we told him there this is a way bigger issue. This is completely rude and disrespectful customer service we encountered and I have no idea how the MGM corporation could employees like these. Not only were we embarrassed in front of the kids but also everyone else that was a witness. I sent an email to guest relations and really hope it finds its way to the correct manager or superior figure so that this issue is truly resolved. One of the great things about this attraction is that during covid they're sticking to their posted despite slow foot traffic. I mention this because other kid friendly attractions aren't sticking to their posted hours of operation. An understandable downside is only half the fun zone is open. Regardless there's plenty to keep busy for roughly 2 hours. The arcade games aren't totally over priced with as low as a quarter. The ticket prizes however even with a broad assortment are valued slightly on the high side. In all I had a blast with my 2 kids. Great place for toddlers! I mean... if you didn't know this already, I would be coming here. There are not very many places that you can take a 2+ year old in Vegas. A couple, but not too many. However, this is an arcade and carnival games all rolled into one. There's even a food joint in the middle. My little guy loved the fishing one, and the couple of machines that will let you win regardless. Just look for the ones with $1 that allows you to keep trying until you get the prize. For me? The coolest thing here was the fact that it had the latest Star Wars arcade machine. I mean, this is hot right off the shelf type stuff, and it was just sitting there. With no one else using it. The only thing this place doesn't have would be the hydraulic games that you can sometimes find at Gameworks or something like that. Fun dungeon used to be my go to place in Vegas. Well working NEW games that wasn't over priced, friendly people, great redemption prices that wasn't overpriced. Now overpriced games that don't work, Overpriced horrible redemption prizes. I had put $20 on my card which gave me 100 credits. One game of skee ball just 1 GAME!! Is 20 f*****g credits. 20 credits as for redemption prizes 1 tootsie roll sucker (candy) is 84 tickets. OMG this place is a rip off. Go to the arcade in New York New York it's much more cheaper, Newer games and greater redemption prices. $20 at fun dungeon lasted me 24 mins where as the arcade at New York New York lasted me an hour with only $20 read more

Located on the basement floor of Excalibur Hotel and surrounding the entrance to the Tournament of Kings show, the Fun Dungeon is a pretty nice arcade for all ages. There is a specific section within the area for younger children which my 4 year old loves. This section includes a mini-carousel, stationary car rides filled with fun lights and sounds, and multiple games where tickets could be won to be exchanged for nice prizes. My daughter loves venturing inside "the castle" where the princesses live. We spend an hour at the arcade/fun dungeon and I somehow always walk away with the best prizes. There are carnival style games where you can win giant stuffed animals or play fun games like air hockey and even billiards. If you're into laser tag, they have that too! There is a rocket ship game right in front of the elevators and near the ticket/prize redemption section. This is the EASIEST way to win tickets 200 at a time. Just learn the timing when you drop the quarters and make it rain with tickets at the prize booth! Many people here in Vegas still don't even know this place exists when I mention it and it's really such a shame considering how much fun your child will have here! If you're near the area with some time to spare, do your kid(s) a favor and enjoy some fun in the dungeon! read more

This is a whole lot of dungeon than fun. I used to love this underground playland when it was still Fantasy Faire with the Little John's Snack Bar and gift shop, but now, it's just dumb. Yes, it's just dumb. There's no real excitement here anymore, I surveyed the games and about 67% of them were down (turned off, broken, not manned) at only 8:23PM! (Supposedly, they're open till 10PM on Friday nights...) Games are more expensive now too, about $1-$2 per game, and the stuffed toys aren't the cutest either, they do have Despicable Me Minions and Hello Kitty, but the rest are Made in China-UHHHGLYY. I'm just not happy with this place, upstairs in the gaming floor isn't that great either. By the way, they took out the gift shop, Milk Jug Toss game, Basketball, and Witches' Cauldrons. At this rate, they'll probably go without prize-winning games in the near future, just saying. I suppose, certain hyperactive kids will enjoy this place especially if they don't know any better than spending their parents' money. This place does get stuffy, I don't know why they won't upgrade their ventilation system instead of adding the stupid Dairy Queen/Orange Julius booth. But, if you do need a breather, the men and women's restroom is roomy, bright, and very well ventilated. Employees here are an absolute drag, it'll be a miracle to actually get an attendant's attention when a coin-game has no tickets without leaving your child there to stand guard at the machine. There used to be happy-go-lucky employees at every game but now they've been replaced by emotionless beings, well okay, there's maybe a couple pleasant beings in the area. Okay, so, this place isn't all horrible, they have one of the MOST GLORIOUS TICKET REDEMPTION CENTERS of all. They have everything from licensed material Monopoly to mini TVs to Barbie Dolls and sports blankets, a lot of their prizes are pretty cool and not much of that lame-o plastic knickknacks. 2 stars because it went from quality fun to wallet-emptying "fun" and for doing unnecessary changes to my once, favorite arcade. Honestly, just go to Circus Circus Midway Acts for any arcade fun, they still have a majority of the prize-winning games, it is more stuffy and smokey, but it is more fun! El Hubby Cakes and I have been to Vegas many times and we wanted to do something different besides walking the strip and pretending to play the slot machine to get free drinks, so I yelped the nearest arcade and Fun Dungeon came up. Located inside the Excalibur hotel right underneath their casino. Yeah, the decor was dated and some of the machines were old and might eat your quarters at times but that's fine with me because it's only 25 cents! The staff are friendly and they give your money back lol. They have other new and current machines that are 50cents to a dollar that are pretty cool too. El Hubby and I had lot of fun. We shed $20 and killed a good 2 hour playing and laughing *ballers!!!* Oh and the restrooms are clean and it wasn't too busy on a weekend, which was a good thing for us because we don't like crowds :) read more

The games are pretty easy to win and then there's some other car,l type games as well that are a little harder to win. The game here range anywhere because from 1 quarter of 2 dollars. The game that my son really enjoyed was the bowling game were it's like a child bowling pins and it was 1 dollar to play per game. you can either play single game alone or you can compete against your neighbor and whoever wins gets 21 tickets. They have your typical carnival games here as well as skee ball and air hockey as well as other arcade games. the reason we came to the fun dungeon was because we had tickets to tournament of kings it was a little expensive to play all the games over and over but it all over all super fun. if you come here just bring a ton of money and be very patient because there are kids everywhere and theyre insane!! read more

Anyways, they don't have that 3-D motion theater anymore, have prizes that are not that appealing, and have earlier closing hours. We visit Vegas twice a year and every time we come we make sure to play some games at the Fun Dungeon. There is a balance of arcade games, carnival games and kiddie rides. Something for every age group (including the adults) to enjoy. The employees are friendly, especially Santiago. Every time we come, he just happens to be working (so random!). He is always smiling and never appears bored or impatient with my children. He's definitely and asset!!! read more

What can I say. The Vegas I knew and loved when I was a kid.. is now a dying breed. Gone are the efforts to make Vegas appealing to families of all ages.. Well almost gone. I did try and find the old stomping grounds of my childhood, and was successful at only New York, New York. I never did make it to the Excalibur and I am sad now that I didn't. While the token making games are few and far between.. and quite tired as it were.. The Midway style games, the ones you'd see at a carnival visiting your city, are on full display (only Circus, Circus had more in my search). There is bottle ring toss. There's the bucket basket toss, the pop balloon toss, and the multiple "racing" games you play against other people. There is plenty of folks manning the stations and they are more than happy to make your stay there fun. They have a great promotion that I almost took them up on.. that if you change 50 dollars worth of tokens, you get two midway passes for free. Which means you get to play the prize games for free. If I had an extra day, I'd have been all over it. This is a fun spot to take your kids... sadly, according to laws now.. unlike in the 90's when me and my cousin's ventured out on our own.. you must now always be with your kids. read more

Had fun here on my last trip. There weren't maybe people (it was as Wednesday morning,) but of those there, it was a mix of parents with very young kids, teens too young to gamble and folks my age looking for that touch of nostalgia. We all remember playing wack-a-mole and skew-ball for afternoons as kids, and here we can still play them for 25 and 50cents, respectably. Newer games like Deal or No Deal or upwards of a buck or two, and I'm assuming most of the competitive carnival games only run during busier weekend times, but we had a great time getting away from the crowds for an hour or so down here. read more

The Fun Dungeon is located downstairs in the Excalibur Hotel and is a great place for kids and adults alike to take a break from the constant cigarette smoke and "pinging" of slot machines and enjoy other wholesome activities like shooting aliens in the face or feverishly collecting tickets! In all honesty though, this arcade is full of both classic and new games that will entertain the pickiest of kids and the most boring of adults. My favorite game was the motorcycle game, in which I climbed onto a life-size replica of an actual motorcycle and twisted and turned my way through the obstacles on the screen in front of me. Be prepared to bring some cash. I spent $25 to get enough quarters to last about an hour and a half between my five-year-old charge and myself, but that's cheap enough for Vegas! Very fun. read more

Very disappointed in what has become of this place. The worst was the 4d theater, which we wasted time and money on to see the same Lego video they show for free at legoland. When I tried to ask questions to watch other movies, the girl didn't seem interested in helping us, so we left. Many of the things down here are broken and our money was stolen by others that should have been labeled out of order. Paid too much for food at DQ. There is really no good reason to be here. The place is pretty big with lots of machines and actual games - like ring toss, ball toss, balloon popping darts, etc. It was busy and packed with children when we went around dinner time. I don't know if it's that busy all day, but is assume it is. Children really have nowhere else to go in Las Vegas besides arcades. I liked the variety of games, and most of them are twenty five cents! Sooo appreciate that. Did I mention I'm a sucker for arcades? Having three teenage boys with us for our Vegas trip we decided to seek out some fun spots for them as well. The Fun Dungeon being one of them. We have to say we were not very impressed. First off the staff on the main floor were very rude when asked to point us in the right direction. Second, the arcade was overpriced and not impressive. There was nowhere to sit. If you are not playing and plan on waiting for the kids to play then you do not have many options. After walking so much on the strip these places should realize by now that there needs to be more seating areas. Thankfully we found a spot at the DQ. The boys, after doing a lap around the place, decided they did not want to waste their money there either. If you are staying at the Excalibur then this may be an okay place to take the kids but definitely not somewhere to go out of your way to try to visit. There are plenty more arcades and places, such as glow in the dark mini golf, laser tag etc., to take the kids for some fun. Our visit to Fun Dungeon was indeed torturous. read more

So. Much. Fun. Andy and I came here a few weeks ago because I remember coming here as a kid and it always being a good time. Now it's even better, especially when drinks are involved!! They have the classic arcade games like sky ball, hoops, pinball etc. They also have awesome interactive games like the horse racing, that was by far our favorite. They don't have an actual bar in the dungeon but they do allow you to bring in drinks :) This is definitely a place to let your inner kid come out! read more

Honestly I'm so disappointed. Fun Dungeon had a five star rating two years ago from me. It has a lot of different games including old, new, and even carnival games. This time around I was taken aback by the price. Maybe it went up or maybe I wasn't concerned last time. However, now every game is at least $1 to play. My very short afternoon here was ended when one of the air hockey tables stole the last of my quarters. I asked a staff member for help who came over and smacked the puck return a few times, told us he'd be right back, then left never to be seen again. I won't be coming back here. read more
