We were staying in Amarillo overnight and wanted ramen for dinner so my daughter and I came to Fun Noodle Bar. The hostess and waiters were all super nice and attentive. I loved the k-drama type music playing and the decor was cool. We ordered potstickers and she said it would be 15 minutes because they MAKE THEM FROM SCRATCH. I was like OK WE'LL WAIT for that, amiright? And they were very good but my soup was AMAZING. Sliced ramen with beef, absolutely delicious, hit the spot and the noodles were definitely homemade. The restaurant went downhill once they hired all those new girls. They're LAZY (massive emphasis on lazy) and will not let you eat after 8:10. (They close at 9??) They had 3 tables with 3 servers up front on their phones. Worst service I've ever received. They suck. Period. Irresponsible, do the least, expect the most kind of servers. Do not go there. I usually tip $30 to any casual restaurant in cash because I've been a server so I understand what it's like. I was so excited to eat at the Fun Noodle Bar for the first time, but the food did not live up to the hype. The service was great and the people were kind. The tables are close together so there is very little privacy between you and your neighbors. The restaurant is small and has very little dining space. The chefs are behind glass, so it was neat to be able to see behind the scenes. I love Thai food and eat pineapple fried rice nearly every chance I get, but this pineapple fried rice was disappointing. Had Aracely/Baby as a waitress, absolutely terrible service skills. Didn't ask once if we were ok. Brought my food out first then 5 mins late brought out my boyfriends food, while his sat in the window, sushi rolls weren't tight fell apart when touched, eel avocado roll was completely nasty, pork rib soup broth had no flavor. Waited a good 5/10 mins before she even greeted us and got our drink order. Puts a terrible taste in my mouth for this place. Watched our waitress sit down in the booth with a customer and talk to him for a good 3 mins while my boyfriend and I had no drinks and dirty plates infront of us without her moving them then brought our last roll out along w our bill not even asking if we wanted desert or anything else. Absolutely terrible service. I've been a server for years and that's not how you treat customers. We didn't even get the warm bowl of peanuts when we sat down. Ordered the chow mien and fried dumplings and had to sauce both a lot to get a good flavor hadn't tried the Ramon or other items but I was in a hurry and didn't get a good look at menu since it was kinda big but I walked in to order take out. I have been to Fun noodle bar many times from when they opened to today! I LOVE their Ramen and keep coming back. Because I love this place so much, and I would literally sad if they close, I hope the owners of this place can read this review. PLEASE keep up maintaining your store and cleaning!!! We were there today and the bathroom was dirty and I can tell it has not been cleaned a long time because there's literal build up of gunk at the bottom of the toilet and stains on the sink. The square divider by the entrance and light bars on the walls were stained by food and grease and had dust all over. PLEASE you just opened, please maintain your place and keep a good reputation. read more
