Stopped here after a 20 hour drive because the pictures looked good. Should have known better after seeing vomit in the front parking space. We ordered Shrimp Shumai Steamed dumplings Dan Dan noodles Black Tonkotsu Ramen The shumai and dumplings are definitely the microwaved frozen kind from the store. On top of that my boyfriend said he had to pick a blonde hair out of his mouth after eating the last one. Disgusting. The Dan Dan noodles had 0 flavor and we needed to put a ton of soy sauce and the chili oil in it to taste anything. Tonkatsu Black Ramen broth was okay but the noodles were tasteless and the Chashu pork was thin and dry (how can a meat that is 50% fat be dry??). On the bright side the Ramen egg was pretty good, and the server was very nice. The table Chili oil on the table was watered down to save money and there were fruit flies harassing us during the meal. We would never return here unless significant changes are made.

Very nice restaurant. Had the miso soup and sweet and sour chicken. Very crispy and not breaded heavily. Miso soup was so flavorful. Will be coming here more often as this was our first visit. Service was very great and staff super sweet!

A chilly day deserves a trip to the Noodle Bar! Visited during the lunch hour within a holiday week so the place had no wait. You arrive upfront and come in to wait to be seated! I was quickly seated and our waitress was quick to attend us. I ordered my Pepsi as this place serves Pepsi products. For the appetizer, I ordered the Spicy Wontons recommendation from my nephew which was not spicy at all was very packed with flavor and had pork wrapped inside what seemed like a filled dumpling! Now for the entree, I ordered the Tonkatsu regular non spicy ramen, so quick tip this place is makes their very own noodles so the ramen I had high hopes for. The ramen was soft and flavorful noodles, comes with pork cheek, would've preferred beef personally, some corn and green onion with fish patty which was tasteless. Overall has a local style ramen bar with a unique ambiance! I recommend you give this place a try if you're hankering other than the ordinary in Odessa!

I love their noodles here! They make them homemade in the front and you can watch. Food and service was good today but I would have liked more flavor and broth in the soup.

Flavor punch!!! This where to find it, sake and noodles and not to mention the potstickers! Service provided by our server was on point. She recommended items on menu and food was fast and most importantly hot.

I went in the afternoon. The environment is not really appealing for me. The food was ok. However the service was great. The food looked better than it tasted.

It's a great place for Japanese food, they make their noodles right here in front of you. Staff are very friendly, food is amazing. Don't forget to order spicy cucumber ( it's not very spicy) .Portions are large and prices very readily.

Everything you want in a noodle bar! This place is so damn good. When the dishes came to the table I literally forgot to take photos because the smell was so good. You can watch as a chef prepares noodles by hand and can taste how fresh the food is. I had the number 32 and my wife had the spicy ramen. The food is good I went with my son before but the last time I went with my husband we were treated so rude! The waiter was yelling at me and I told him he didn't have to yell I was not deaf he brought us wrong food and threw it on table when I told him we didn't order that he started yelling saying I was wrong Well by this time my husband got up and told him no one talks to my wife like that The manager came over and said she was sorry, really I told her I had never been treated like that, I told her he has no people skills. She says she would talk to him I told her she should fire him. They even charged us for our food that we didn't even touch. Haven't gone back since and I have told family and friends. Awful service I had to give it a star but there no 0000 read more

The pork pot stickers are amazing I spent years searching for any Chinese option that would be similar quality to those in our home of Dallas. Never found any close to decent until Fun Noodle. In some cases it might even be better than some of the favs we have in DFW. read more

I got the Tonkotsu ramen. Was a bit bland, especially compared to ramen I've had other places when traveling. I still enjoyed it though, that's not why I leave the bad review. The problem is that my friends' food apparently ended up being slightly worse, which wasn't fun because this place isn't exactly cheap. I also asked for a mtn dew and they said they didn't have any when they were visible in the glass fridge right behind the lady taking my order. I wouldn't say this place is bad, but it could be better. Probably the best ramen in Odessa though, as it's not a big town. read more

I was really bummed because I haven't had great Chinese since I got here and I got a Kung pao chicken and it was great. The veggies were canned veggies. It is a noodle bar so I should of stuck with noodles. So I'll hav to give it a try with noodles next time. read more

This is probably my new favorite place to eat in Odessa! I was worried there would be a huge line, like at other ramen places in big cities but I was really surprised to see how spacious the restaurant was. Staff was really friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was comforting and decorations were aesthetically pleasing. I was very happy they included pictures of the food on the menu, because a lot of people, who normally don't eat Asian food, don't know what they're really getting. They sold out of potstickers and takoyaki (octopus balls) so I will have to try it next time, but the bao was delicious ! I really hope people will try this place out and support it. It's nice having a ramen place here in west Texas where the broth doesn't taste like tap water. Really flavorful and easy on the tummy. Highly recommend !! read more

Great food. Most plates are way oversized so you can get 2 meals out of it. Steamed pork and cabbage Bao with that sauce is awesome. Haven't had a bad dish there. They hand make most of the noodles. Great little spot. read more

Amazing. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, delicious hot tasty food. So much veraity that I just ordered several appetizers as my meal and will be trying several new ones next visit. Husband had premium split noodles that I forgot to take a photo of everything just looked so good we drived right in. Walking in everything looks clean and you're greeted immediately. The decor is very pretty. Our waitress was very polite. We started with Takoyaki ( fried tempura balls with octopus) they were good but the inside texture is very gooey if that isn't something your okay with I wouldn't go with this appetizer. Next tried the beef noodle soup which was amazing. Fresh handmade pulled noodles. Next time I will try the spicy on this one. Then shared some pan fried pork bao. These were so delicious. This place is a good Asian noodle restaurant. Only complaint they have a wine menu but didn't have the wines on it I asked for. Might need to update that or get rid of it with so many other drink options available. read more

Atmosphere : pretty good Service: Above Average Food quality : Easily the most underwhelming Ramen I've had. I wouldn't refer to myself as an expert but I know what Spicy Tonkotsu should look and taste like and boy was I disappointed. Might I add that it came lukewarm!!! Who serves Ramen with lukewarm broth???Perhaps other things on the menu besides the Ramen and bbq pork crepe might have been delightful. I need a proper Ramen place to show up in midland and give all the noodle houses a run for their money. Perhaps this would kickstart things. read more

I was disappointed. After being seated it took over 10 minutes to come take our drink order, and then another 7 minutes to bring us 1 water and then 1 tea a couple minutes after that. We ordered spring rolls and pot stickers. The spring rolls had a very mushy texture inside. The pot stickers were good, but they came out almost cold. I got the Youpo noodles and my husband got orange chicken. The Youpo has 3 chilis next to it so I was expecting it to be almost too hot to eat, but it wasn't. It has good flavor and a kick, but don't be afraid of the spice. The disappointing part was the lukewarm temperature. My husband's orange chicken was better, which is completely disappointing since it's a noodle bar. Now, I went back for lunch with a few co-workers a couple days later. I truly want this place to be amazing! I love noodles so I am hoping it gets better. I'm not sure what's up with each meal coming out barely warm! Please if you bring soup, bring it hot! If my noodles are pan fried I expect the temperature to be steaming. Not sure where the disconnect is there. For lunch I got the pot stickers again because the flavor is good, but it came out barely lukewarm again. This the service was much faster, but food lacking. I asked our server a preference, and ended up going with her choice of Dan Dan Noodles. Flavor lacked a little, but still decent. All 3 of our meals came out barely warm again. Maybe that's just the style? I want to love this place. I'm going to go until I find something I love! read more

They served us cold ramen, beef soup and orange chicken. The meat on the tonkotsu ramen was tough. I can never understand that because the restaurant just opened a week ago and we came in right before lunchtime. Their noodles was good though and that's the only reason i need for me to come back. Will also give credit to the great service and the cozy ambiance. This place has a lot of potential being only one of two places in odessa/midland that serve hand pulled noodles. read more

Fun noodle bar is a great new food experience. Service was fast and the atmosphere was cool and low key. Definitely has a bigger city vibe tast helps you forget you are right next to a dollar general and a pizza day care center. Noodles are made fresh for every order and the food was full of flavor. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. I ordered orange chicken with steamed rice. It was good. Crispy chicken with sticky orange sauce. Not spicy as stated but I certainly didn't open up the peppers. I could have done without the orange rind but I'm sure it added to the flavor. Rice was excellent and I am usually a fried rice person but glad I chose the steamed. I'll try again. They didn't have beef broccoli as I would have thought. And I didn't see any kids portion of menu but didn't ask either. They serve peanuts when they bring your drink so watch out if you have allergies. read more

First time I visited this place it was great . Last time I visited the restaurant smelled bad so that made me not enjoy my food. When I got home I also got sick and I ordered a spicy beef noodle soup. Excellent service and food! The spicy dish could have been spicier. But overall experience was great! It was a little dark hard to read the menu. But other than that we had a wonderful experience. The plum sake was DELICIOUS! Beef potstickers and spring rolls tasted so fresh. We WILL BE BACK! read more

I have been on a few different occasions, both busy and slow, and every time the service has been spot on. The food has amazing flavor, great portion, and is worth every penny. The Black Ramen was great, my boyfriend had the Spicy Ramen and we both were completely in love. We also ordered cream cheese wontons and they were crispy and had a nice warm flavor. This is probably the best noodle bar in town and is definitely worth checking out! Great for date night or casual meal. read more

I've been looking forward to this place for months, and it did not disappoint! It has a great atmosphere, and really good service considering it was their opening day. The pan fried noodle was delicious, and I didn't even need to put any kind of soy sauce or condiments in it, it was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other dishes. I visited Fun Noodle Bar around 5 PM and found myself waiting at the front desk for quite a while before anyone showed me to my seat. Given that the restaurant wasn't busy, this should have been an early warning of what was to come. After about five minutes, a staff member finally escorted me to my table. I placed my order and was asked if I wanted white rice, fried rice, or noodles to accompany my entrée. I chose fried rice, only to later notice there was a $1 extra charge for that option. During my meal, the waitstaff checked on me only three times: once to bring water and the menu, again to deliver my entrée, and finally to present the check. The service felt almost self-service, which made me regret leaving a 20% gratuity. At the end of my meal, I had to retrieve disposable container and plastic bag for leftovers on my own. I observed that other patrons, who were non-Asian, received more attentive service, including assistance with packing their leftovers. This disparity made me wonder if my experience was influenced by my appearance. Perhaps it was an unconscious bias at play, or maybe I simply didn't fit the restaurant's typical clientele. In conclusion, if you're Asian and don't speak Chinese, it might be wise to keep your expectations low to avoid disappointment. It's really really good but I do gotta say something. Everyone giving it a 4/5 or 3/5 is because it's the flavor they don't expect but that's usually because when you think Asian you think flavor but this place has very subtle flavors but they do have very spicy dishes to make up for it. The noodles somehow "lack flavor" but that's because they put the noodles in fresh. They don't give the noodles time to soak up the broth and spices but if you take it home and let it sit for half a day to a day then it is 5x better!! Amazing. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, delicious hot tasty food. So much variety that I just ordered several appetizers as my meal and will be trying several new ones next visit. Husband had premium split noodles that I forgot to take a photo of everything just looked so good we dived right in. Definitely worth it to stop in and try, I doubt you'll regret it, there is something on the menu for everyone. read more

They have good service here, and the noodles are delicious. The interior is nice and modern and it's cozy. Prices are also competitive with others in the area that charge more for lesser quality. Overall I would definitely recommend giving this place a try when possible. read more

The best noodle place in town. Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere. Sally is the best waitress. Saki selection is expansive and delicious. Ask for Sally, grab a bottle of mio sparkling wine, some pan fried bao and a 32, 34 or 25. All is good. read more
