If you're looking for OK Korean food, this place is not too bad. They have a decent menu ranging from the classic kimbap, bibimbap, soups, and ramen. The menu is actually a bit more extensive than I was expecting. One thing to note is that the restaurant is not Korean-owned so don't expect authentic Korean food. I'm not taking anything out of my rating for that but just something to keep in mind. The food is OK overall. Again, you can't expect authentic Korean food here but it is not bad. The side dishes are similar to what you would find in an Asian supermarket. I thought the spicy pork bulgogi bibimbap was actually pretty tasty but the rice was very soggy and the vegetables were ok. I wish the egg was not cooked to oblivion. The classic kimbap was actually really gross. Way too much rice. Some weird tasting sausage for the meat. I have been to Crisp Garden Oppa probably six times since it opened, for lunch and dinner. I absolutely love their hot stone bowl "bibimbap" with galbi (aka short rib). For those who don't like bones, get the bulgogi (shredded beef) bibimbap. Great price for rice, variety of veggies, a fried egg and meat. I was craving some Korean wings while out here in midland, and I stumbled across this place. I tried the sweet and spicy wings (10 pcs). The wings were pretty good (8/10) and the sauce was very flavorful. Now, service wise, it was a disaster. The servers are nice, and what I could tell, it seems like just the parents and their son, but I ordered the food online, arrived 20 mins after it, and waited about 30-40 mins for my food inside. So, good food, just don't go there in a hurry. The inside of the restaurant is actually pretty nice, and can accommodate a good amount of people. While the food is very good the service is absolutely horrible. I LOVE Korean food! I came for dinner this week with a few girlfriends and the whole experience took 2 hours. The kimchi pancake, spicy pork and broth soup is all very good. I really hope they can get more help so they survive the Midland market. The waitress (granted she was the only one) would disappear for long periods of time. She was sweet, but overworked and forgetful. You couldn't even get a drink refill or pay out for 20 min. My friend even called ahead to ask if they had alcohol and was told they had beer and wine. Upon arriving, they only have sweet saki wine (no bottles of red or white to purchase) and a very limited beer selection (1 Saporro and some Dos Equis). read more

First, the interior of this place at least looks a lot nicer than most strip mall restaurants we've been to in midland. We started with green tea which was served in a pot so big we couldn't even taste the tea from the 2 tiny teabags in the pot. They should either get smaller tea pots, put more tea bags in the large pots, or just serve single cups so green tea with a tea bag. On to the food. They have a pretty limited menu, extremely disappointed they didn't have japchae which was extremely perplexing since it's a staple of any Korean restaurant. A beef and seaweed soup was served prior to the entrees which was good. Extremely skimpy banchan (the small dishes of pickled items severed with Korean food), they didn't even fill all 5 available spots on the serving dish. We both ordered the bibimbap, both were adequate. More banchan would have been nice as it wasn't enough to even have with the meal. Not sure we'll be back since they don't have japchae and even the Restaurants that serve multiple kinds of Asian foods here have it, though this is the first one we've seen actually do banchan. Guess midland Just doesn't have a more authentic Korean place with both popular and standard Korean dishes and banchan; which is what we're looking for. read more

This may have been the best date night spot we have visited in the 3 years we have lived in midland. The food is really good, get the hot bowl bimbap, it's an experience. The food stays sizzling hot for about an hour in a stone bowl they heat to an extremely high temp. The staff really cared that we had a good time. They have fizzy sake which is very strong and you can share it with your date with shot glasses = mega fun/weird.
