That being said they are not babysitters and children who are not able to skate independently and safely need to be supervised. The skates are good, but don't hesitate to make them aware if the laces need to be tweaked or replaced. There are very few things for minors to do in any direction and for very long distances, but even if there were more choices this destination should top your list. It's affordable, a healthy way to spend a few hours and fun memories to be made. They also do a wonderful birthday party during open hours or schedule a private time.

Cool Arcade game experience for aging millennials and kids alike, right in the heart of Morristown…read more The whole thing is built into an old Bank building, which means it includes a literal vault (with Tron and 1-2 other ultra-retro games hidden inside), high ceilings, and just enough space for like 100+ different arcade games - half of which are pinball machines, and the rest a good mix of games from as far back as the early 80s (like the OG PacMan and Donkey Kong, kinda deal), but with a healthy sprinkling of 90s and early 2000s options too like NBA Jam and Ninja Turtles etc. One of the really cool options they have is a couple of TVs hooked up to an N64 and a Nintendo, so you can play with/against up to 3 other people on stuff like Mario Kart 64. Price-wise, it's not bad either - the fun gimmick is that you don't need coins, all of the machines are built to just be playable automatically; you pay by the hour, as you exit the building. Was about $18.50 per person, which isn't too bad actually. Will absolutely come back if I'm ever in Morristown again.

Father and son bonding requires a special outing, so I simply Googled "Fun things to do in Binghamton" Robot City was the first thing that popped up, and quite frankly, I didn't read further. With the help of a GPS, we found RC pretty easily, just a few minutes from 17. I was told the area might be shady but , being from Philly, it didn't stand out as a particularly bad area. There was also ample parking next to the building in case you were wondering. Upon walking in, the child that still lives within me had a heart attack. On display was almost every single game system known to manchild complete with the software. I even saw a godamn Game Glove! I wasn't really in the market for such things but it was entertaining just browsing. In the back of the store lays the arcade. From sight to sound to smell it was reminiscent of the arcades I frequented in my own Stranger Things days of the early 80s. Even the 2 tone neon paint job on the walls nailed it. The place is near perfection. Before actually playing, we just walked the rows, geeking out on each game. You'll find all the greatest hits here, from Pac Man to Donkey Kong. Also pinball aplenty. My PS4 playing 15 yr old son quickly adapted to the 8bit life. We separated and did our own thing and I was both thrilled and jealous to keep seeing the BEN name in number 1 spots. Also cool is that my 2 favorite games from my day that they had at Robot City; Joust and Gyruss, turned out to be my sons favorites without me even influencing it. This shit is genetic! I've been to a few 80s arcades (recently) and Robot City is by far the best. Notable exceptions here (and the others) are 2 of my favorite 80s games ; Kangaroo and Burger Time. They must be difficult to get. I like the pricing system here. I've been to some where you pay a flat fee and play games for free within a time limit, but I prefer Robot City's method of simply buying tokens ($10-44 tokens etc). Most games were 1 token, some 2. It worked for us, mostly because my son is a video game savant. We stretched $10 into an hour and a half visit. We came again and did the $20 for 96 tokens and after 2+ hours, we had to leave with a handful of unused tokens (like Aanold , we will be back) If I lived in the area, I'd be here at least monthly. I hope the people of the southern tier don't take this place for granted, it's a real gem.

Food is included in the price and it is buffet style for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is not but you are more than welcome to order more and take things to go. There's snacks available between lunch and dinner but there's also hot chocolate/coffee available all day long with some pastries. The only downside were the rooms. They are connected so if you have loud neighbors, you won't be getting good sleep. Overall, my kids loved the place and want to go back soon. I guess we'll have to wait for another Black Friday deal.

Thank you Pinball Maps for leading the way! The hardest part about playing pinball here is finding an entrance to the dead/dying mall in which it's located. The anchor stores are mostly closed. The mall road encircling the building is in disrepair. Signage isn't great. But once inside I appreciated the low level of lighting to minimize any glare on the glass. The machines were loud enough to hear all the call outs, which is also not always the case. I have to say, I've never been a fan of the swipe card system of payment. And I prefer arcades where there is an on staff attendant. However when I had an issue with one of the machines, I saw there was a number to text, so I put it to the test. Almost instantly I was in touch with a person who was able to remotely turn off the broken machine and put replacement credits on my swipe card. That's great service, especially considering the person was remote. They said they would be in the next morning to fix the machine. And guess what? They were! I probably should have let him know that the switch in the Rick and Morty garage did not seem to be functional. But the last thing I wanted was for that machine to go off line. I'd rather play a slightly befouled version of that game than not get to play at all. Anyhow, consider yourself lucky if you live within the area. Finding someone who takes pride in their machines, is harder than one might imagine. There's a good mix of new and old tables, all for a dollar a pop. Certainly this is way more fun than those other blinking lights, bells, and whistles at the casino in town. One can either throw their money down the toilet, or scrape together a few quarters and learn the ins and outs of pinball. Just make sure not to come hungry. The food court in the mall is a bit of a ghost town. But fortunately Old Forge Pizza is just a short drive away.
