HUGE FACTORY MOLD ISSUES!! DO NOT BUY FROM FUN TOWN! All nice when they want to sell... horrible expierence!! WE HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO MOLD TWICE NOW AND PROBABLY WILL CONTINUE TO BE EXPOSED TO MOLD..... I purchased a 2022 puma palomino 38rlb in May 2022 and let me tell you they literally forced us to sign a coverage and warranty which was a total of about $5,000 BY January 2023 the whole roof was full of mold and the manufacturer did not want to cover the issue... there was no leaks the problem was the duct Work of the AC. While funtown was able to find where the problem was and got to have this issue covered by the manufacturer which was great. But this was a huge issue where the right thing to do was just give us a new one they decided to patch the Rv and gave it back by June 2023 and by March 2024 the mold issue had occurred again this time I had sign there extended warranty and of course that's all BS and they didn't want to cover anything again which is frustrating. We started constantly emailing them and they ended up wanting to "cover it for us" but they just replaced it from the bottom and did not replace the entire roof and check on it as they should have. So when I asked like what did you guys do to it it doesn't look correct then they just sent us pictures of them putting paint primer on it without my authority and without discussing that they wouldn't replace that side of the roof... Now we are stuck with a new RV with mold who knows where else and of course they don't care and the manufacturer definitely DOES NOT CARE!! Even one star is generous. For transparency, we purchased a travel trailer here at Fun Town in February 2018. Yes, it's been a few but here we are, 3 years later and we're still experiencing heartburn so it's time to shed light to perhaps prevent someone else from going through the same experiences as we have. Once our purchase was made and the "make-ready" was complete, we discovered upon our pseudo-walk-through they had not installed the spare tire, rear camera, or septic tank wash out that we had paid for. We spent 3 additional hours waiting. Fast-forward when we get home and start packing our new trailer, we discovered the gas jet leading to the burner was pointed to the side of the burner rather than into the burner. Could have been disastrous. The rear camera was not sealed where it was mounted and could have leaked water into the camper so I ran silicone around it to seal it. A week later, we took it out for camping and could not get any hot water. After removing the panel inside the pantry to access the water heater, I discovered the hot and cold water valves at the tank inlet were still shut off. Thankfully the element didn't get burned up without water in the tank. It took a while to figure it out, but the water line to the outdoor kitchen sink was loose and water leaked into the brand new camper. Both propane tanks were only partially full. When we got home, I contacted our sales person and told him what we had encountered and sent him the pictures of the issues. He told me they have a new GM and he would love to speak with me about my issues we experienced, and would call me back when he was available. No callback so I called again the following day and was told once again the new GM would call me back. Again, no callback so I dropped the subject. Which brings us to today. I pulled the trailer out of storage this week and noticed one of the tires (cheap Castle Rock tires) was severely weather-cracked and the tread appeared as if it were melting. I took that tire off then pulled the cover off the spare (for the first time since we've had it) only to discover that we had once again been bitten, 3 years later. The tires on the trailer were 15", but they put a 14" on as a spare. So, I had to take a 15" tire off my 4-wheeler trailer to use just to get this camper to the tire store and buy 4 new tires, plus a 15" wheel and tire for the spare. Do yourself a favor and just keep on driving past Fun Town. I know we will in the future. There are plenty of other places to buy your next camper. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews from this place before I tried to do business with them. I don't understand how they are still in business. They come off as a Boat Dealer, besides the RV business. What a @#$%^&* joke!! If Berkshire Hathaway had any idea how inept these people are, THEY WOULD TAKE THEIR BOATS OFF THE LOT IMMEDIATELY. So I find the perfect pontoon boat for my wife and I with the Cleburne FTRV. I put 1k down. Told them I would pick it up in 10 days after they fixed a few things (trailer had rust and it was very dirty inside - outdoor dirt and leaves from sitting, etc..) and cleaned it and detailed it. I asked several questions via text with the sales rep over the next 10 days. I wanted an inventory list of what all the boat came with. Which he sent to me via text pic. Its became enormously apparent that they are NOT a Boat Dealer. They don't service boats, they have no boat parts (except for half a small gondola of items in their Camping showroom), they know virtually nothing about the boats, they have no Boat Specialists! Its an afterthought to them. We were told they sell 15 boats a year. What a @#$%^& surprise!!? I was told to read the Warranties on the Forest River website. The inventory listing of the boats specifics did not show a Depth Finder, an anchor, a Table, a Storage cover, etc.. So I asked the rep in texts and got all my answers. Or did I? They day arrived to pick up the boat and we drive the 70 miles to Cleburne. The sales rep wasn't there, it was his day off! Showed up at 1pm and they had us hang around their Camping Showroom for an hour waiting to go look at the boat. Finally a young man (20) comes to us and says he will take us to the boat and show us the features and how they all work. BWAHAHAHAHAHA (He pointed at shit for 20 minutes AND THEN made me sign a release that he had gone over everything with us in the walk thru?! Bwahahahaha) They boat was exactly the same as we had seen it at their ATT Stadium event. They had fixed the rust on the trailer (because I had griped about it 5 times to rep in texts), but the entire boat was a dirty, filthy mess. As my wife opened up the seat cushion to look in the compartments below, nothing had been touched. Complete DIRT everywhere. So I was pissed from the minute I climbed onto the boat. The kid pointed to this and that. I asked where the table was, where's the anchor, where's the storage cover: "NOT SURE, just look in all the storage areas and you should find them" The electrical hookup to my vehicle didn't match the boat trailer hookup. I was told to go to a hardware store and buy one. An $10 adaptor!! I wanted two sets of keys, "NOPE, it comes with 1 stet of keys, you'll need to go buy another set at a key making place." I could list 15 more things that they couldn't answer or find, or explain. But why waste everyone's time? When I want to have the boat serviced, I bring it here? "No, we don't do that. You'll need to take it to a boat service center." I told them that the boat needed to be detailed and cleaned and that we would come back in a few days to get it. The kid said "While you're with the finance people, I'll get a towel" Are you @#$%^ kidding me? It was a 8 hour cleanup project!!!!! Things deteriorated quickly from there. They took us back into the Camping Showroom to meet with Finance. I was paying cash, as their interest rate was stupid. 50 minutes later the kid comes out (no finance person EVER came out to talk to us) and says: "Bad News, the boat doesn't come with an anchor and we cannot throw in the $50 side bumpers, we aren't making anything on the boat, so we cannot put those in." I said, "A 24' $65,000 boat doesn't come with a #@$%^& anchor?" I showed him the text where the sales rep had texted me that there was an anchor included. I lost it. As I yelled and barked my disbelief that they were so inept about the ENTIRE SALE.... I yelled "Just give me my down payment back and lets the call the deal off!!" Staff where scattering! A sales manager came out in 10 minutes and said, "We have an anchor and side dock bumpers for you" I was dumbfounded. I told him to "forget it" and he pleaded with me to keep the deal going. "Imagine all the fun you're going to have in that boat" If you ever buy a boat from these people, your a complete idiot. Because that's what they are - do as little as possible, cheap, rinky dink, chintzy unknowledgeable knuckleheads. They lost a $65,000 boat sale over $150. Who buys a $65,000 car that is dirty and missing features and has no SERVICE option? We then went on the Berkshire Boat website and could build the boat from scratch with their custom boat builder for $45,000. We bought a Puma RV from Fun Town two months ago. From the first day the shower has leaked, the handles in my he shower were put on upside down and the kitchen plumbing is leaking as well. We live in this RV so we can't afford to take it to Fun Town for a month to do repairs. They have offered no other solution. The fit and finishes in this RV leave a lot to be desired. I believe Fun Town knew about these issues with Puma but didn't care to sell us an RV that we could live in. We replaced the faucet in the bathroom because it was so short you couldn't get your hands under it to wash them. it didon't stick out far enough. we are at our whits end with this camper!!! read more

On 10.8.2022 I went to Jarrod McGhee's Fun Town Cleburne store to purchase what I thought (2023) Apex bumper RV. Two weeks after delivery, I was camped out at lake and the roof began to leak during the rain. The mobile mechanic came out, climbed on the roof and repaired what would be leak #1... A month later during the first freeze, I came outside to an ice sculpture underneath the RV because of another water leak. Who knows how long this camper was sitting on McGhee's lot before he slapped a 2023 tag on it... On 12.23.22 I scheduled a service appointment with Brooke M. She told me the next available appointment would be 1.31.23, which because of another winter event would turn out to be 2.10.23 (47 days). I dropped the camper at their check in point and gave them the week they request to get camper pulled in. A couple days later I requested to come by the shop and see my RV with the under belly pulled off so I could take photos for warranty and insurance purposes since water leaking and freezing the entire winter. I was denied access to come see the camper. At around day 12 I could not get Brooke to give me an email or phone update on the status of the RV. The communication with Brooke was so horrible I finally drove out there to find out what was going on as I was told the camper was in the stall. Brooke did not even have the decency to meet me in person when I dropped the RV off and when it was returned back to me by luck of me going up there and asking for a status update. Magically, Brooke calls my phone when I am standing in the camp store asking the make ready team for a status update... As I am finding out, Jarrod McGhee instructs his service advisors to not meet with customers in person. I paid Fun Town's in house hauler to tow the camper back to my camp ground and we did a walk around of the RV. We noticed, as the other Reviewers mentioned, a dent at the rear of the camper. Brooke probably knew of the dent to the rear of the camper and did know what to have to address it. As the other reviewers mentioned, the gentleman who moves RVs with the forklift must have impaired vision... I've worked in the service repair industry where my team was 5-star and here is what I will say about Fun Town. I would highly recommend customers to not do business with any of Jarrod McGhee's locations as horrible customer service comes right from the CEO desk. I would go to camp world, motor home specialist, any where smaller where you get Quality customer service vs just being Jarrod McGhee's sales quota. If you do decide to do business with any of Jarrod McGhee's location allow me to offer the following suggestions to prevent you from banging your head against the wall for doing a $60K+ transaction with Jarrod McGhee's team... Sales 1: Jarrod McGhee instructs sales staff to sign contracts before you take delivery of the RV. My suggestion, skip McGhee's BS process and do not sign any contract until the sales staff can show you running water over the top of your camper while you sit inside it for 30 minutes. I would recommend requesting Jarrod McGhee to hose down the campers. If you can't get McGhee out of his office I would request his vice president Raul Ramirez to hose down the camper insuring no water leaks. Also McGhee or Ramirez hold water pressure with on the system for at least 30 mins so you will know if water is leaking from underneath. If you don't you Will have a 2023 leaking water from all over like myself and the other reviewers. Pictures are attached. Service. 1. I wish I could share a positive experience with this business, as it was the most recommended from many close and local relationships. What a piss poor excuse of an operation. We purchased and were delivered a 'NEW' travel trailer that had dents, dings, scratches and filth on the interior and exterior to say the very least. Since original pickup, we have spoken to many people in sales, management and service, where they look you dead in the face, apologize and act sincere in their concerns. NOT the case for us, unfortunately. We have now returned the trailer for the 3rd time within a week for repairs that we DO not want to be accountable for. Promised a call back by close of business and of course. . .NOTHING. Blake was a wonderful salesman! But, to date, I can tell you that we are less than impressed with other management all the up to the corporate level, quality of service is absolutely gut wrenching and we would absolutely NOT recommend this over other RV businesses in the area. Working with Funtown RV has been the most frustrating thing I have ever done. We purchased a travel trailer from them a few months ago and the salesman was a little rough, but he was young and we considered it an experience issue. There were some issues during our walk around at pickup but were assured any continuing problems would be taken care of. Fast forward 3 months. We have used our camper and their continued to be a problem. Called to schedule service and was told the first appointment available was about a month away. One complaint was a roof leak, keep in mind we only had the camper for 3 months, and service informed me that roof issues were not covered by them and I had to fix it myself, which I did. Dropped off my camper on May 10th and was told someone would be in touch "soon" with a timeline and estimate. After a week no contact so I called them to check in. No one from service was available so they sent an email to all service advisors and the supervisor. After about a week still no contact so I called again. Again, no one from service was available so I got upset. Now they were able to get someone from service on the phone. I explained the situation and they assured me they would get on it. After another week or so still no information on my repair cost or timeline so I called in again. And again, no one from service was available. Finally after 3 or 4 calls I got an estimate. Wouldn't you know they did a "courtesy" roof inspection and there are major roof issues on a camper I have only had for 3 months!! Service told me it was a sales issues, sales said it was a service issue. Also, the issue during the workaround they assure me is working fine even after informing them that it was an issue at pickup and during our 1 use of the camper. I waited a month for an appointment and now we are approaching a month that they have had my camper and no repairs have been completed and still no one returns my call in a reasonable amount of time. These people do not stand behind the products they sell. The will sell you something with problems and then not fix them. This place is ridiculous and once you purchase something from them you apparently are not a priority nor do you matter to them. They do not care what condition their units are in when they release them to customers. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I purchased a travel trailer brand new at the end of 2020. In August, I looked under the trailer and realized there was rust throughout the entire underside. I have never used the trailer on salted roads or near the coast. Everything I have read online says most dealerships do not wash the underside of the trailer off prior to selling their units and all units are manufactured up north. I have contacted Forest River who will not honor repairs under warranty. I feel like I am now stuck with a trailer that is falling apart because the dealer did not do their job and won't make it right. After multiple tries I told em id bring it back a month later on way to jobsite - we'd switch locks out then. Gave them a weeks notice- showed up - It took 1 1/2 hours to resolve the issue. I waited over 5hrs to finish the walk through process and get a hitch on the camper installed they were closing the gates and asked me why I was still there. So after getting everything wrapped up I told myself I would never go back. Last week against my better judgment we found a camper online that we liked and did not have time to go look at it before leaving out of town. We put a deposit on it and said we would come look at it 3 days later when we get back and then do the paperwork. Less then 24hrs later I get a call saying it sold with no reasoning. Bought a brand new RV from these crooks. Didn't even make it 20 miles to the house before trim started falling off, shower head cracked, cabinets fell apart, and LED strip fell down. TV had damage to its screen at the dealership and Funtown didn't manage to send a new one like they promised they would. They failed to include emergency tools to manually operate the jacks, which malfunctioned on the very first boondocks trip. Shop elsewhere. Sales team - beyond excellent. Finance fellow - the same - got approvals and everything set up quickly. But when I got to the paperwork department things went south FAST. First, the payments were quite a bit higher than I expected and then came the high-pressure fear pitch (read optional insurance). I said no, so they went away and came back saying they could get the payment down by selling the insurance just over cost. The paperwork fellow later stated that they were actually discounting the loan by 0.25% - so why not do that in the first place? I ended up so confused that I walked out and went to talk to the salesman so he'd know what happened. After talking to him and the finance fellow again I found out that the paperwork fellow and his manager were having me sign off on payments for a 12 yr note over 15 years! Seriously?? We bought our Kodiak Ultimate just before Covid hit. The sales team was fabulous and we love our travel trailer. Here we are 3 yrs. later needing to take it in while under warranty because of a water heater issue. We were informed it would be 5 weeks before we could get in and if we needed a part replaced we were looking at another 6-10 weeks. I find this very ridiculous just to get an estimate of what is wrong let alone even more ridiculous that they do not keep wearable parts in stock. Screw the warranty...don't buy it...because they will make sure you are not seen for the repair until after the warranty expires! We will find another service place and pay cash. If I could give them a zero, I would, Was looking at a camper online. Was a very good deal. Good enough that I was going to have it shippped from Texas to NY. All ready with the credit app and good to go. Now we are confirming that the camper had the full body paint. Next thing is "oh, we have the wrong exterior photo on that one. March of 2023 my husband and I purchased a 70,000 Forest River coachman. on the sales end they were quick to call and check in. When signing the paperwork the lady told us that Fun Town as a quality dealer and that even though they didn't do traveling repairs they would work with us to make sure we had any issues taken care of. she implied that they would call the manufacturer on our behalf in the rare event that we had issues. Then we had issues! and radio silence. Our Main AC unit went out. may in Texas. who know how hot it got in 2023 in Texas? Here we are 2024 February 21 and the mobil service tec that we were refered to is not answering our calls. It took from May to Sept to even get fun town to help us with anything and then after paying the service tech $250 for a service call to tell me what I already knew. I need a new ac unit. i am still waiting for my unit. Now no one is responding. read more

It's probably similar to other dealerships which is why most auto/Rv dealers have bad reputations. Funtown is no exception, they just want your money and don't care what happens once you walk out the door. With that in mind, please do 2 things, these are a MUST! Get your own independent inspection. Funtown does the absolute minimum in this regard. They don't want to find things wrong because then they have to fix it. It really seems silly that this is the system. Imagine buying a car from someone and having them do their own check instead of taking it to a mechanic. Get your own! Also, leave enough time (weeks) for funtown to be able to fix all of the problems, and there will be lots. The few hundred bucks is worth it to the penny. Please get your own inspection. Do not buy the warranty! It's overpriced and it doesn't cover much. If you want a warranty, buy one privately and you will save thousands of dollars.
