We arrived on a Tuesday shortly after they opened around 4:15 PM, and we were the only ones there, which worked out perfectly. This may have been why the manager gave us extra attention, showed us how to throw properly, and guided us through three different games. That personal touch really made the experience even better. For two people, I felt that one hour was a good amount of time--though we definitely could've stayed two hours at least if we didn't have other plans. Pricing for one hour is $54, which feels a bit steep, but I was able to snag a deal for $27, which was much more reasonable for a one-hour activity. They also had about five arcade machines set up with free play, so you could easily spend more time there either before or after your axe-throwing session. I didn't realize until after we arrived that they offer food and drinks too...next time, I'd plan for lunch or dinner along with the activity. This place would be great for a team-building event or a group date night. Axe throwing is a bit harder than it looks, but definitely a lot of fun. We enjoyed the different game options, like tic tac toe that made it even more fun. One thing I didn't love: when you arrive, they ask for a credit card to keep on file in case you order food or drinks. Then when we finished and hadn't purchased anything extra, we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip. I found that a little awkward. While the manager was super friendly and helpful (possibly because it was empty--or maybe that's just how they treat all first-timers), I think there should be a better, more subtle way to encourage tipping without putting guests on the spot. I did not let this impact my review.

Nicky was our "coach". She was super nice but I had a hard time understanding some of what she said. With other patrons cheering and talking loudly and she was talking fast and giggling during her instruction it was hard to follow. As a suggestion, I understand the coach needs to be present for safety reasons but don't hover over the customers and tell them what games to play unless they are asking. Let the patrons explore and learn and have fun. The environment is nice. It's a little darkish like dungeon style which makes it kind of cool. It's also a little chilly on the lanes so maybe. Light sweater should be kept near by. Game play is fun and takes a little skill to get the axe to stick in the board but overall a good time. Would surely like to go again some time

The lights give such a chill vibe and the boards are all well kept up. This place looks and smells clean. The cages are safe and the distance to throw are also very safe. The blades of all ranges were kept up and the boards themselves were in great condition as well as our staff member made sure our board was wet when use and taught us some tips on throwing! So awesome to have such wonderful staff helping and having a good time with us! I don't mind the price at all, around $90 for 3 players for 1 hour! Not half bad for quality! I can't wait to come back and bring my friends with me. Such a hidden gem right next to The Hub! Thank you!

The barstools at the bar don't have back support (which is always a con in my book). The music tends to be solid. All in all, a cool spot. And a casual one at that. Food (N/A): I've been on a liquid diet both times, and to be honest, I'm not even sure if they have food. Drinks (3.5/5): Everyone likes different flavor profiles when it comes to cocktails. The Mighty Axe has a solid list, though one that is not super appealing to my taste. Outside of their cocktail list, they have a full bar. The Mighty Axe, if the name didn't give it away, is both a bar and an axe throwing place. While I haven't done any axe throwing, I've checked out the area where it's located (the back of the bar). The bows they have for the intro classes are recurve bows and our instructor was Mike. It was easy to follow his instructions and I enjoyed the hour we had in class. They also offer 6 week beginner classes (also taught by Mike) so it's a good option if you'd like to continue and learn more skills. The only negative was that when we needed to reschedule our class to next week, the coach that was supposed to contact me never did so I had to call to get the makeup lesson scheduled for us.
