Original sale price that was valid 4/20/26

BEWARE Price Gouging!! I had a very frustrating experience trying to book my son's birthday party at Fun Box in National City and want to warn others. Two days ago, I attempted to book a Premium Birthday Party "Grand Opening Special" advertised at $259 (regularly $579), with a promotion valid until 4/20/26. I even took a screenshot because the price influenced my decision. However, the website kept crashing during checkout, preventing me from completing the booking. When I checked again shortly after and the next day, the same package had jumped to $579 (now shown as a "sale" from $679). That's a $300+ increase within hours, despite the promotion still being advertised. This raises concerns about inconsistent and misleading pricing, as well as an advertised promotion that doesn't match actual pricing. I contacted management via email and voicemail but received no response. Overall, this feels like false advertising, poor customer service, and an unreliable booking system. I recommend taking screenshots and proceeding with caution, as prices may not be honored. Unfortunately, my son is now disappointed because the event is no longer affordable. I don't recommend!!!

We came here for a birthday party and WOW! Just WOW! My son is autistic and he absolutely enjoyed himself. I love all of the colors, the aesthetic's and the amount of activities you can do. What an amazing place for kids to unwind. I appreciate the staff who were very helpful and kind. They pay attention to the kid's to ensure safety. They have staff monitoring the entrance and exit making sure no one runs out. Everyone that works here is so friendly. Highly recommend taking your kiddos here. Awesome place, 10/10!

Fun Box in National City had me feeling a little mixed. First off, the space is definitely smaller than I expected. The toddler area in particular was really underwhelming. It kind of felt like they just threw some blocks in there and called it a day. For little ones, I wish there was more variety to actually keep them engaged. The jumper area is a decent size, but again I had this vision it was going to be huge and it just wasn't giving that. Kids were going wild, as expected, so I stayed out while my spouse handled that chaos One thing I noticed though, a lot of parents were sitting inside certain parts of the jumper, which kind of blocked off areas and you could tell kids were avoiding those spots. They do have free arcade style game machines which is a nice touch, but that area gets crowded fast. Now the restrooms... yikes. For a newer place, I was honestly surprised at how dirty they were. Almost every stall needed attention. No toilet paper, no liners, just not maintained well at all. That part was a big disappointment. On a positive note, the party rooms actually look really nice and I can see this being a good birthday spot. But seating overall is limited, and the shoe storage fills up quick, so that's something to keep in mind. Overall, my kids did have fun, so that's what matters most. But they did say it felt a little scary with how many kids were running around nonstop. Not a terrible experience, just not as impressive as I was expecting. Curious to see how it holds up over time.

Very fun for my daughter. Bounce bounce and more bounce lol. We went because of the grand opening promotion and my daughter wants to go after seeing a video. Very convenient location as it is at the mall too.

This is a new place in National City, and it's very beautiful. The kids really liked it, and I'm planning to reserve a party for them soon.

First day at Fun Box! My kids ages are from 2 to 15, and they ALL had a blast. So fun, easy check in process and the kids tired them selves out! Definitely returning

He shouted out the total for two wristbands and I let him know there was a different price online. He shouted out to purchase the wristbands online for that price. I walked away purchased the wristbands went back to pick up the physical wristbands. He scanned the barcode and put the wristbands on our wrist. And then with a smile said the list of rides that were closed. And then said " we are short staffed and due to that we do not have employees at the rides once they get here at 12:30 then you'll be able to get on the rides" I looked at my 10-year-old and said OK we'll go walk the beach and get a bite to eat until they open up. Guess what the staff never got there! Honestly, he thought it was funny when he told me that we weren't going to be able to get on rides until the other staff got there. There were a few rides like the mini dipper and the carousel. But who buys wristbands to get on a couple rides and then get on the bumper cart. If that's the case then I would've just bought individual tickets. LET YOUR GUEST KNOW AHEAD OF TIME IF YOU ARE SHORT STAFFED AND THE PARK WILL NOT BE RUNNING AS USUAL!! I had to keep looking for staff to let us on rides and then even then I wasn't able to get on every ride. I paid for a wrist band for myself and my daughter thinking that we were going to be able to enjoy the day but we were not. I do want to point out that I'm a single mom and low income and this was supposed to be something amazing for us. $100 to Belmont Park is absolutely nothing but for me it is. And just FYI, I a lot of people kept leaving the park upset. But for them, they didn't purchase wristbands. We waited till after 5 PM hoping that as the shift changed employees would come and open up all of the rides, but that never happened. I was hoping to get my money back for the wristband, but because the employee at the counter was so aggressive I was honestly afraid to go up and ask for a refund. I'm hoping Belmont Park will make this right and provide my daughter and I with an opportunity to return to Belmont Park at no charge to us and be able to get on the rides.

The laser tag was extremely fun for the kids! Man, I had forgotten how much fun laser tag is until I saw my kid and her friends playing. Then the party room was simple, but served its purpose really well. Our party hostess, Karrina, was really great with the kids and made sure the party kept moving along. I think what I liked the best about the experience for the party, was that our hostess walked the kids around to the rides and through the arcade so they could familiarize themselves with the layout of the Boardwalk. As I was talking with the adults, we were discussing competitors like Bowlero and Lucky Strike and how unreasonably priced it is for a family of four now a days. Just the arcades there are so expensive! Here, the kids were able to make their tokens last for hours and walked away with some fun prizes too. I hope the prices never get ridiculously high here. He's been dead, but his memory is still alive here. New orcas, dolphins, sea otters etc. existed. My friend and I came here since his father owns a timeshare 5 minutes away from Seaworld and we both had vacation time. We were at the Marriott hotel in downtown San Diego where the parking structure was on the top floor, unusual for sure, but necessary in order to park there due to the poor surrounding environment. A lot of places nearby including the boat museum maritime. Seaworld, changed! In the most interesting and good way possible. New rides, more things to do. Last time I went to Seaworld there were only shows involving orcas swimming in a pool of water splashing guests as the highlight, it still is there as usual, which I loved by the way and was enjoyable to witness. Rides: 1. Emperor - 5/5 amazing 90 degree drop dive coaster, with ejector air time and intense g forces, my favorite ride due to having a fresh breeze of the ocean air at the top and a beautiful view of the park. 2. Electric Eel - 5/5 bizarre coaster with a launch and a positive g roll at the top. Not that intense unfortunately, fun and intimidating, but enjoyable to go on with a friend. I enjoyed it. 3. Atlantis - 5/5 intense hybrid water ride and coaster. Two drops, the water drop was meh, but the coaster drop after was taller and more intense g forces on the drop and swivel loop below. My personal favorite tier with emperor 4. Manta - 5/5 most intense coaster there, super fun, launch coaster with strong g forces throughout. Shockingly the most intense ride at the park with the intense factor of the launches and ejector air time and speed. 5. Arctic Rescue - 5/5 super cool ice ride, it's near the penguins in the back and has a bike you sit on that has great launches and strong positive g forces on the launch, not as good as manta, but super fun, went on it more than once and enjoyed it the most. Theming of the ocean from the start before the launch was cool. 6. Skytower/skyride - admission fee rides, very relaxing, $6 per person, the skyride was fun, you sit in a carriage and observe the scenery of the ocean with a slight breeze. The skytower is a tall swiveling cylindrical seated container that overlooks sea world. 7. Closed attractions - dolphin show was closed, looks promising but was not open during spring for whatever reason, roaring rapids ride was closed in spring reopens in summer, the sea otter show closed due to renovation. Food was very nice, I enjoyed it, I got a vegetarian salad wrap at the cafeteria near the orca show. They had pretzels, fried foods, pizza and sandwiches, burgers that looked and smelled good. I saw some people with turkey leg and they had other foods at the food court. My friend liked touching the small fishies that eat dead skin near the entrance. Place is good for older kids and young adults who have children. Not as family friendly as Disneyland and Legoland due to the intensity of the attractions, especially that emperor and manta. Those two rides are more intense than any of the rides at Disneyland, better off comparing those to magic mountain and knotts berry farm level of intense. Outside of the top 2 mentioned (manta and emperor) the other three were relatively good rides with strong intensity (electric eel, Atlantis and arctic rescue) that Atlantis ride was closed for like 6 hours which was annoying and the wait time was long too maybe 2 hours, so rode that ride last just before going home. We were there right when it opened and left before the place closed. I bought a dolphin souvenir t shirt at the shop and I love it. Overall a solid 5/5 for entertainment, ambiance and overall experience. It had great themes and a beautiful environment similar to universal studios but sea based. The orca show was nice, cute host for the show and the little kids sea lion show was relatively meh. I would come back again. I enjoyed it but it is so far Southern California. Unless you live in San Diego, this place is a treat.
