Not only are you mourning the loss and grieving, but then you've got the added stress and concern with making sure all of the logistics are taken care of. Our family is incredibly grateful for Frank taking that burden off of our shoulders and allowing us to be with family, celebrate our loved one, while he guided us comfortably through the process of planning a funeral and burial. Frank is a class act, and in hindsight, the funeral service and burial were beautiful and seamless--and I can't help but think he played a huge role in that. I mention price only because often times these things are unexpected, so for what it's worth, the pricing was significantly less than the handful of others we were advised to take a look at. From the moment we met with Frank, however, price was really out the window for us as it became very clear that he was committed to not only providing our loved one with a service and burial to be proud of, but to making sure that the family was taken care of and we were able to say goodbye in a fashion fitting of a last goodbye. We have a big family. HUGE. And even though I know Frank isn't chomping at the bit to receive phone calls--we will absolutely be encouraging folks to give him a call when the time arises. There were some complications because my Dad died in the emergency room and had not seen his doctor there were issues getting his death certificate signed. My issue with the Avenidas was that the whole time this was going on they did not reach out to communicate to me at all. I had to call them to find out what was going on. I left text messages that were never returned. I continually had to call them for updates. At the same time Kevin on several occasions would make statements basically putting the blame on my Dad for not seeing his doctor. UNACCEPTABLE. I was grieving his loss and to be made to feel about bad how all this worked out was not ok. It took over a month and a half to have my Dad cremated. The only time I had a return call was when I asked to speak to the owner (Which I was passed over to Kevin who is not the owner) and when I reached out to the county to get their help getting his death certificate signed. I was called to be told "we finally found someone to sign the death certificate" which was a call from Kevin. Then when I came to pick up my Dad's ashes I was only given one urn and had to remind them of the other Urns we had left. One other thing that really bothered me was I called to find out if my dad had been cremated and the person had no idea or even where my dad's body was at that point. Unprofessional. The experience overall was a disaster. Not to mention the licenses on the wall of the business are expired. All I asked for the whole time was communication and I didn't get it. Some of the things that happen where out of Kevin's control but communication was always something he could and should have provided. When someone is grieving or trying to grieve that is the one thing that is needed. To not even know where the body is again is unacceptable. Unprofessional.

The first person I spoke with, Edith, had zero empathy and understanding of what she was talking about. She told me I could have an appointment 6 days after my Mom passed, and I kept telling her I didn't need an appointment as I already had a contract. She was so rude and made me cry (not out of sadness, but out of rudeness). Finally spoke with the funeral director and she was just as rude. Ended up moving my Mom's body to another funeral home who were wonderful and had all arrangements done within three days (unlike the 4 days I would have to wait for just an appointment). I couldn't believe that in the midst of grief, the people who made me the saddest worked at a funeral home. DO NOT GO HERE.

We called the funeral home to get details about who buried our relative or the law office where the will was drawn they claim gave that person the right to bury this our family member. The staff was the rudest i've ever encountered especially considered we just discovered they buried our aunt 10 days ago! wouldn't even consider passing our contact info to the lawyer. lady was so rude, i ended our call in a similar kindness. horrific people to behave that way towards anyone looking to figure out what has happened to a deceased relative. just what we need rudeness, however the other gentle at the funeral home mentioned knowing the person who came in with said will. So it seems like based on a friendly circumstance with these scammers they're shutting us out completely even if the law prevents them giving our number to the lawyer, which it does not and as a relative we are entitled to speak with said lawyer, the least they could do was offer kindness and compassion. of which the apparently have NONE
