This review is for my fathers service. My father passed easy June 27th. We were able to have a service for him July 17. This funeral home went above and beyond to give my father a wonderful send off. The venue is beautiful and very home-like. The staff is caring and helpful. The best of all was the wonderful work done to my father. He had a rough past months before his passing. He had lost a lot of weight and was in bad shape overall. The day of the service when I saw my father for the first time I saw him healthy again. He was beautiful. I was very impressed. I would NOT recommend... just had my dad's viewing here and it was the most difficult process working with this company.. poor customer service, very hard to speak to a live person to answer my many questions.. the music I choose was not fully played after providing them with a USB, I had to bring my own speaker with Bluetooth to listen to my dads favorite songs.... the day of viewing they assigned two young teens to assist and couldn't answer any of my questions, their response was 'I don't know'.. My friend's mother had passed away and they had the wake services here. The parking lot was small and it was already full when I arrived early but there was plenty of street parking. There was plenty of bench space available inside plus they had another room with round tables and chairs for all of us to gather around and talk and eat with whatever they brought to share. After the service we were basically thrown out because the time was up, they didn't even keep the lights on in the patio outside which we felt was kind of rude of them. read more

I spoke to Perla Silvia it was the worst experience ever definitely was very pushy, condescending person ever. Definitely look into different locations I would recommend legacy funeral home for the same if not more services offered. Make sure you guys don't say you're looking for now because she will let you know you don't have the luxury and ask how much you love your family member if you say you need more time or more information. My father in law passed away due to covid on 12/27 and with all funeral home being busy and not having any available space I found funeraria del Ángel and they were amazing. I worked closely with Alondra through the whole experience and we did all arrangements over the phone and I felt she was very professional and made me feel very welcomed during the pain. I felt they went above and beyond with making the experience special even during covid. We had his services on 1/9/21 and my husband said Alondra was very involved the whole time for the service and even went to the cemetery. I had my doubts about this place because it looks small & is in a really busy street. The thing that made me come was that they do have things that accommodate our Hispanic traditions. We had my father's viewing & mass here. Alisson & Catalina were there to help with the viewing. They were so respectful and helpful. Everything went very smooth. The next day we had the Director Maribel for the burial, also excellent & respectful. I was pleasantly surprised with how things turned out. Came here after one of my aunts passed away. The service was held here and I honestly wish it hadn't. The hall was small as expected, but the fact that they had air conditioning and chose to not turn it on until three hours after everyone had arrived was ridiculous. The reverend who spoke was incoherent, but I can't just blame him. The faulty microphone didn't help when he was speaking vaguely about my aunt, or the fact that there was one small speaker at the front making the whole point of having a microphone feel useless. There was absolutely nothing special about this place at all! I have. I have no plans to ever come here again and will pay to make sure none of my family members will have to either in this life or the next! read more

If I can leave more than 5 stars for the office staff I would. Christina, Martha, Paola, Salena, Tom, Julio are amazing. Paola made the arrangements super easy, explained everything and was so detailed. Salena followed up with our family, to turn in our death certificates and memory book, she was very helpful in everything. As far as the counselor who had attended my family to arrange everything before hand, she messed up. Please do not ever do business with Patricia. When we found out she is now a manager I could not believe what I heard. If she wasn't professional, she was pushy, her attitude was not the greatest. To find out that one of my friends was actually managed by her was even more of a shock. My friend had mentioned she was not caring about the people on her team. She made despicable comments, is not the greatest manager, does not help them, that she was always out, I guess people on her team are parents and she didn't care if they had medical appointments. She would tell them certain comments that made them feel as if they did not get the support they needed for a manager. All this makes sense now, when we were making arrangements for my family member. She did not listen on what we were telling her, she kept saying we needed it. read more

Alondra the director showed complete unprofessionalism and lack of empathy towards family members who are mourning a death. She spewed tension, division, and unnecessary drama between two parties during a time of vulnerability all because the son of our deceased loved one inquired information about his own mother's services. She described his inquiry as "badgering" I am in disgust, and this is an embarrassment to the business. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Never in my life did I ever imagine writing a review for a funeral home. My mom, sister, aunt and myself came here a day after my younger brother passed away. I'm going to start with the bad part of this review. The reason I'm giving this place a 3 star is because of some comments Ruth made and felt that she wasn't showing any sympathy toward our loss. The one that really hurt the most was when she asked how my brother passed away, I told her and she responded with "Oh big dummy." My brothers viewing was from 4 to 10 pm. She said "4 to 6 will be for the closest family and 6 to 10 will be for the chismosos." She also suggested that we didn't view my brother because of the major trauma he had gone through. I told her my mom wanted to see him regardless of his condition and she said "Yeah she probably needs this for closure all Mexican moms do." My aunt asked a question and the vibe Ruth gave was "Who are you?" I truly feel all these comments where unnecessary. She was talking a lot, giggling and just wasn't being a sympathetic professional. I do have to be honest though this funeral home is beautiful. The priest they provided gave a beautiful mass for my brother. The casket, flowers, story book, slideshow with his pictures and his 16x20 portrait where also beautiful. Everything turned out really nice and I do believe Ruth took care of all this and I don't have any complaints in regards to that. Paola and Tom are the sweetest. Thank you to the both of you for all the help and especially Tom, for always checking up and making sure everything was going good the night of my brothers viewing. Never thought I would be writing a review for a funeral home but I cant let their amazing kindness go unnoticed. My father unexpectedly passed away two weeks ago. It was such a hard experience and planning the funeral was my responsibly to do. Ruth took such good care of me. She lightened the mood, very appropriately, with her wonderful and fun personality. She guided me every step of the way and made us all feel very comfortable. She truly cared about my dad and his service. We had the service there in the chapel and the priest they had for us was amazing. He really seemed to understand my dad just from speaking to my brothers and me before the ceremony. Ruth also accompanied us to the cemetery and stayed with us the whole time. I can not thank her enough for being there for me. Its crazy but I feel like she is my friend now. read more

We had my grandfather's services here and this place and the people that work here were such a blessing during such a hard time. The first question they asked me when I called was if my grandfather was a veteran. No other place asked or offered a military discount but this place did. Paola was awesome ! She was so patient and kind. She even set up a military funeral honors ceremony the day of the funeral that was beautiful. Tom was also so nice and helpful the night of the services. This place is now Funeraria del Angel. These people are horrible. They are crooks. They are so unprofessional and rude. Cynthia is the worst person to deal with. We asked her for the contract a week in advance and she would not send it to us. Finally, I went in to the office two days before the funeral and talked to the office manager who finally got a hold of Cynthia and I heard her tell Cynthia, "You still haven't completed the contract?" Of course our contract wasn't ready, Cynthia was still trying to add to our contract after giving us a final price. It was so sad to have to deal with this place while our family was dealing with such a huge loss. read more

If I could give them 10 stars I would because they truly earned it. Paola, Tom, & Julio are fantastic. They made a difficult task bearable. They walked me through every step of the way. Paola took care of everything. She is so patient, understanding and kind. I was all over the place not knowing what I wanted, making last minute changes but Paola kept up with me, never losing her patience. The casket flower arrangement she ordered was absolutely magnificent! Tom was there for not just me but our entire family during mom's services, he is kind, sympathetic and very accomodating. He made sure everything went smoothly. Julio was at the church and the cemetary gently guiding me. They did a great job on mom, she looked so pretty. Everyone commented on what a great job they did with my mom. Her service was beautiful. I have no complaints whatsoever. They make a great team. I highly recommend them. read more

Daniel and Ruth were two of the most helpful staff I've encountered and this is my first time using a mortuary service.
