You can access it from Dempsey and Lynn Valley Road (by The End of the Line General Store), near the entrance of Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, or from the park itself. The lake itself is surrounded by trails. Nice and easy to walk around. There is also a dock that cuts across a section of the lake. Great for fishing. Apparently there are trout in here. Great place for photos too. I didn't see any rice here. Maybe it's named after some guy or a nearby sushi restaurant.

Glenn you provided a good foundation of life skills for the children that many would not otherwise learn. There was a good balance between educating, and hands-on learning for the children. Sandi was very supportive, and encouraging to the children. Most importantly, the children were excited to come back every day to learn more & make memories! They provide fishing rod and bait, just show up and have some fun! They sell ice and fish bag if you are not prepared to take fish home (like us...) The owner is also so friendly, answered all our questions and also helped us to unhook the fish (when we couldn't figure out how to take it off at all...) We tried fishing at lake before, so hard to do it without help. This is much better to try out what it's like to fish!

Ii is a favourite place to stop for us, and this time, although a touch early 'season-wise' for most returning salmonids, I anticipated seeing at least a few adult fish in the river, and returning to the facility. Our visit was rewarded with such sights - there were several adults in the stream 'and' attempting to make their way into holding structures within the facility available to them at that time. I knew we were a touch early to see many returning adult fish to the facility, but that said, we did get some good views of several fish within the stream, and some very up close & personal views of a few fish that had been able to get into the facility earlier, and their jumping attempts at entrance gates to a couple of holding ponds. For us, very cool to see, and it sure added some excitement to our stop into the facility this time! As usual when there, we did a complete (self-guided) walkabout of the entire grounds, catching all the sights and sounds along the way. And for the first time, we dropped into the main building - it houses most of the inside operational facilities, staff offices, and such - the foyer, is open to the public, and contains informational bulletin boards, signage, displays, and brochures of interest to visitors to the facility. Once again, our favourite stop-along-the-way to Harrison was fun and interesting, along with some exciting "fish moments".

We discovered Cheam campground this weekend and we are so happy we did. Right from the start, from…read morethe first phone call, Jamie the host was super helpful and really, really nice. She accommodated us fast, answered to all our questions and was always there when needed, without being too intrusive as we experienced in other campgrounds. The site we got was right by the water, where we could fish, and enjoy the beautiful view. There were mosquitoes around, due to the high levels of the Fraser, but managed to keep them away with smoke, insect repellent spray and citronella candles. The campground has nice spacious sites, water and electricity hook ups and everyone kept it quiet and respectful. There are train tracks across the river, and trains are passing throughout the day, but is far enough to not be too loud and just give a nice picturesque touch. We already booked to go back in a couple of weeks.

This was the BEST day ever! I cannot recommend booking a trip with Lang enough, I already can't…read morewait to book another outing, it was well worth the money. I had researched other fishing tours and Lang's pricing is very reasonable. Lang is a fantastic fisherman who knows what he's doing and where all the best fishing spots are. He was so fun to hang out with and you can tell he genuinely loves fishing. He was just as excited as we were every time we hooked a fish. My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Vancouver and I called Lang the day before and to my surprise he easily booked us in for the next day. Communication was really easy, he emailed us all the info we needed and we easily found the boat launch. Even though it was windy and raining and cold (end of november) he found us spots where we caught MONSTER sturgeons. I've never seen fish so big! Even what he was calling small fish were the biggest fish we'd ever caught. We were so excited the whole day we forgot how cold is was out, but we were pleasantly surprised that the boat was covered and he even had a heater! Kolby was very nice, accommodating, and also very knowledgeable when it comes to fishing. He made sure that each member of our family felt comfortable- he had a heater waiting on the boat and waders to keep us dry. Not only did we catch five large sturgeon (an amazing experience that we all loved), but Kolby grilled some delicious salmon and ribs for our lunch. This was definitely the highlight of our vacation in Vancouver! We are hoping to return and try our hand at salmon fishing next time! Highly recommend!
