Regardless, we felt it was well priced compared to other places where renting a boat could be double or triple the price. our boat was clean and looked practically brand new. We really appreciated that there was a cover/canopy on the boat to give us shade. We had amazing weather and the whole trip was lovely. I would definitely recommend doing this.

My experiences with Creekside have been pretty good. They have an easy location not too far from the water. Their staff are friendly and always helpful. When they get real busy, they want the kayaks back right on time so that their next customers don't have to wait. I've always kayaked in the afternoons and this place gets busy with paddle boarders, rowers and kayakers; they all share the same deck. Can't wait for them to open on April 29th so I can get out there and have a great time!

The captain was nice and a few others were helpful, but unfortunately the overall experience was not very pleasant. Almost everyone else on the boat seemed to know each other and 95% of the time spoke Mandarin to each other. I am not a Mandarin speaker so it really felt like we were being left out a lot. Only managed to get some sort of information or communication because my friend can vaguely translate what they say. As someone paying around $300/person, I expected to learn a lot and have more guidance. The moment we got on the boat one of the other guests lit up a cigarette. Let's just say throughout the entire day, someone was toting a lit cigarette. They probably smoked close to 3 packs while on board. No one from my group smokes, so we were pretty irradiated to say the least. We learned very little and had little guidance. They were helpful when we needed help, but for the most part it felt like they were having a blast and we were the party crashers. I do like that they followed the rules of fishing and what fish they have to release, what can be caught and what needed to be returned. However, they threw their cigarette butts into the ocean which I felt was unacceptable. Since I'm a beginner, I tried to copy what the others did on the boat in terms of releasing the line, but then told we shouldn't do that. I pretty much kept to myself and kept quiet because of the language barrier and honestly wasn't there to criticize people, I was there to learn and have fun . The 3 stars go to the captain and 1 or 2 of his friends. I really appreciate them giving us their catches and some crabs because I wasn't able to catch anything worth keeping and really they were kind and would answer questions if we had them, but I'm really shy, especially when it comes to new things. However, the last 30 mins would be the highlight, the other 8 hrs I felt like the kid that wasn't invited to the party but people were obligated to be nice to. I hope they learn from this review and are able to give other people a better experience than the one I got today.

They have fisherman docked at the dock selling their catch. Best time to come for me is around May or June for the spot prawns. They have salmon and other fishes on sale. Uni is a good one to get here. However, many of the fisherman only take cash.

I made it very clear to her that we were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary with our family and that we had two seniors in the group that have major mobility issues. Unfortunately, my 99 year old mother could not attend as she was in the hospital. Lucy assured me that she would have the crew meet us upon our arrival (limo) and since this was during FIFA, she would arrange to get the Limo special access to the dock area. When we arrived, no one had met us as we had to look for the boat. Upon boarding the boat, the boats interior looked dirty. We were asked to remove our shoes before entering the boat which had stained carpets, Chinese writing on doors and the bathroom garbage was full of the previous guests toilet paper. As well, when we went to put food in the fridge, we noticed that they had other food items in there. As the boat was leaving, we had no transport safety protocols mentioned to us. We had to ask the deck hand where the life jackets were and she pointed to a room where the room had Chinese writing on it with a sticker that showed a hand for "Do Not Enter". This was a real concern to a few guests as we were not swimmers and there was no life jackets to be found! During the cruise, the Captain was training another young fellow to drive the boat and they did not speak good English and were not very friendly. Transport Canada police were yelling at the Captain to move away as a large freighter was coming towards them. As we had only nine passengers, the crew consisted of three workers. I felt that we were travelling with another family that all sat upstairs. At the conclusion of the cruise, the Captain of the boat jumped onto the dock to have a cigarette and didn't even acknowledge us. The lady that I booked this (Lucy) came to the dock and said "sorry as I had a previous engagement" . When we got off the boat, the limo driver contacted me and said that the pass was only good for one way but not for the return and he was refused entry to the area he was to pick us up from. Lucy was told about the issues with the seniors mobility but did not mention to us that the pass was only good for one way. Due to this major inconvenience, we had to walk three blocks, my mother in law (90 years old) had to sit down on four separate occasions as she was really struggling to walk. This took us 45 mins to find our driver! As well, our limo driver was driving in circles around the chaos traffic to try and find us due to FIFA. My concerns were brought to Lucy's attention and I had asked for some form of compensation. No reply from her on this! I was sadly mislead by Lucy and would not recommend this company. I have spoken to Transport Canada and they said that safety protocols were not followed and they will be investigating.

It's pretty hard to tell which direction the ferry is going next though unless you're very familiar with the routes, so make sure you ask the driver just in case. I find that the ones I've interacted with all ask you where you're going before letting you on, so at least I haven't taken the wrong boat yet. They have a zone system for ticketing and at first it was a bit confusing for which zone ticket was needed to go where. But they have nice maps at each stop so it wasn't too hard to decipher after awhile. The boat drivers were also pretty nice and were happy to answer questions about tickets. I took the boats during the Big Picnic event at David Lam park. There were other people on the boat but it was not crowded at all. Boats also came all the time and so we didn't have to wait much before ours came. The boat doors were left open when I rode the boats and so it was really nice to be able to take pictures and videos without obstruction from the windows or clear screens. The creek is relatively calm most of the time and the rides are short, so most people probably won't get sea sick.

They leave every 5 minutes. For a modest sum we ferried across to Granville Island. What a pleasant experience and easy way to go to Granville Island!

We were scheduled for a shuttle pick up from our hotel at 12:30 pm, but due to a marathon most streets in Vancouver were blocked to traffic. We were stuck on Granville Island and had no way to get back to our hotel in time. A call to Sewell's, and they sent a cab to pick us up at their expense and got us to our boat tour on time! The Sea Safari tour was outstanding. We got outfitted in our survival suits and they also provided gloves, hats, and eye protection if you need them. All you need to bring is your camera and you sit back and enjoy a two hour high speed boat tour of Howe Sound. We saw seals, sea lions, multiple bald eagles and a large variety of other birds. The guides are knowledgeable and really made sure we were comfortable and had a good time. This was our last activity on our vacation and it was an excellent way to round out our trip.

However,…read morethe British Columbia coast is simply magnificent, and how bad can two hours on a boat be on a gorgeous day in July? Well, Sewell's "Sea Safari" surpassed any of my pre conceptions, and I had a simply fantastic experience. The loquacious Bruce picked us up at our hotel, and we were entertained on our 25 minute ride from downtown to Horseshoe Bay. After donning the ridiculous looking survival suits and laughing at ourselves, we hopped on to the inflatable zodiac for our journey into Howe Sound. The two hours flew by as we marveled at the incredible scenery. The Vancouver area has been truly blessed. At times our guide and captain did doughnuts with the zodiac, and we all screamed with delight. Nature lovers will enjoy seeing rare birds and seals along the way. I'm not much of a nature boy, but the soaring mountains, coves and cliffs, were astonishing to view from the water. The people on our boat were worldly and fun to be with, helping to make the experience comforting. We had a great time, and I recommend this tour wholeheartedly.
