We didn't get a call, an email, or anything alerting us to the cancellation. No common courtesy, no customer service. What's even worse is that they cancelled two other rooms in our party with no contact. People flew in from across the country to join us and they were told the same thing. The front desk workers called other hotels in the area to see if there were rooms available. We were told another hotel had rooms available, and when we tried to book there, we were told that they were all booked and didn't ever have rooms. So not only did the WorldMark Blaine leave us high and dry they gaslighted us as well. Then they tried to shoo us off their property while we tried to find somewhere else to go. Don't waste your money or time with this place. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

There were sofa seats and picnic table area which were required reservation. There were Grass area, and other seating area which did not require reservation. So, we sat non reservation area. There were 2 food truck owned by local brewery and hype chocolate. They offer snacks and drinks. Ambience was definitely high-end. It was fun to watch game in different atmosphere. I wish there were more seating area for non reservation guest.

Also has gas fireplace, jacuzzi style tub and stand up shower. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. If you get tired of your room you can also enjoy sitting outside on a deck or the living room. We really enjoyed relaxing on the couch back in our room in front of the fire place. Morning came a bit too soon. Was hard to get up out of the super comfortable down blankets on the King bed. The breakfast was ready though and included three delicious courses. Polenta with almonds, banana kirsch, and smoked salmon with poached egg on toasted croissant. Yum. Virginia's breakfast was all the better by Brian's entertaining stories of 5 years in the service business now.

I find it extremely unprofessional to yell at a guest in front of strangers rather than pull them aside and polietly approach them. It's become a gambler's paradise, a parking spot for the Richmond Night Market, and a hotel resort for visitors like yours truly. Now I can say I'm officially part of the latter. Things I liked:. * The price ($150USD a night) for a 1 BR suite. While prices fluctuate for any property, River Rock still has inventory when other competing hotels don't. Plus, the prices during the week are going to be one's best bet. * The bed: Who doesn't love a good comfy bed? The rooms are spacious without being too stuffy. Even the sofa bed was decent, a rarity for couch beds. * Casino: Slots are everywhere, but the table game action is solid, especially given the late night crowd. It's hard to resist the idea of playing Free Bet Blackjack, which allows one to double down and split with no risk. The catch though is that 22 is a push. * The pool: This is no ordinary hotel pool. If anything, it's reminiscent of a resort pool with different levels, and is perfect for the youngins to enjoy some water sports. There are so jacuzzis and a huge water slide, and rock tunnel. Add to the views around Richmond and it's a fun daytime activity. Things I didn't love: * West Tower Elevator has been out for close to a month. This leaves only one elevator in operation. And it's a slow elevator. * Despite getting a suite, it felt dated. The carpet was dark, much of the room's furniture looked worn, and there weren't enough outlets. * The long walk from the hotel to the parking garage. It's a hike. It's even more of an issue with the older folks walking gingerly back to hotel. * The garage parking lot elevator and stairs often smell like urine. (#2) ___________ (#1) First to review. Place is always clean, I even bring my blacklight to check. Since I have asthma and allergic to feathers, the staff makes sure everything is feather free before I check in. Twice already I was given complimentary upgrade. Front desk is always high in customer service. I don't gamble, but went I walk across the casino to get to the parking area or night market, there's no smoke whatsoever. I just found out they are pet friendly. And so is the night market. So next time we bring the fur babies. Not to mention their outstanding spa. I'll write that review on their own page. Also compared to the other hotels in the area, the price is pretty decent.

This last trip was the second time we managed to book a presidential suite with a private hot tub in the balcony. The unit is a bit dated, but spacious and comfortable. It's also very good to know that they send service personnel to check the hot tub every other day. The resort also has clamming equipment that can be borrowed. We got a lot of huge cockles and horse clams on the beach in the Birch Bay State Park which is about a mile away. We always have a great time at this resort.

This is the closest WorldMark to the U.S. Canada Border in Blaine, which is about 6.5 miles drive from the resort. We arrived around 1:00a, check-in was fast and we were given our key cards and parking pass. As all of WorldMark by Wyndham resorts the unit was clean with a fully-equipped kitchen including a microwave, refrigerator, and stovetop along with a separate living area. We had a studio unit (only one available at time of booking) and our room was on the 5th floor. As always during our trips we never get to enjoy the hotel amenities (pool, recreation area, etc) since we always start our day out early and arrive back late. Can't waste any adventure time while on vacation. For our last evening we walked across the street to Bay Breeze Restaurant & Bar. Modern amenities throughout since the hotel is new. At the time of our stay, our room felt like nobody had ever been in it previously... it was that clean. Housekeeping services must be very competent here, at least so far! Front reception service was extremely friendly and welcoming. One of the best check-in experiences in recent memory! Along with the Cascades Casino, the hotel is also connected to The Buffet and Match Eatery & Public House (I love most Match locations in general, but this Delta one is quite awesome and is my favorite... will leave a separate review for it later). The Sévérine Spa is also attached to the hotel lobby. There is no hotel lounge if you have Marriott status, but the Delta pantry is one of the best I've been to due to the wider variety of complimentary items. A fitness room and pool + hot tub are also available to hotel guests. Free Wi-Fi and no overnight parking fees for the hotel, but your vehicle needs to be registered at the front desk. Time will tell whether this Delta maintains its current opening level of impeccable cleanliness and service, but our initial stay was superb and far exceeded expectations!
