Recently saw Jordan Jensen here and the experience was great. Our server was prompt and friendly and the prices weren't too bad. Support stand up comedy!

THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT THIS PLACE. If I could give no starts I would!!!! This comedy club is located at the greene area, they charge 30 dollars a ticket just to watch the show, nothing included on this absurd price, that is the most i ever paid for a comedy club, not even in New York you will never have to pay this much for a comedy show. They ask you to come in early, so we did, we came in exacly one hour before the show, there was still the previous show happening. We sat at the bar for drinks and these drinks do not count toward your minimum 2 items inside so be cautious of that when coming to the bar while you wait for for the show, they not only don't count but also they are not cheap drinks either. As time gets closer to come in we notice a monstrous lone forming at the waiting area just to get in the comedy room. Soon enough therr is Mayhem at the outside to enter show, I am so buffled how the process to go inside the show room is amazingly slow and irritating, there is a endless line of people that get in the show area. The process is so slow that I almost walked out of this place. I was beyond irritated there are no words to dricfibe, I arrived one hour early and now I will be the last one to get in because they have a line for inside a bar area! They were late by 2 min to let the ppl in the show room, they said that the previous show ran later, what about us on the next show? Our show that was supposed to start at 10pm the doors were not even open for sitting yet..... At 2230 they are still working on people going inside the comedy room and I am frowning more and more annoyed. I now realize that you can't enjoy a drink at the bar before going in cause u should to camp in a line by the door of the comedy room.... just don't like this kind of disorganized environment. It kills all the fun of the Saturday night. It ruined my night legit. We managed to get in after 2250 and they had already started the show!!!!!! Even though because of their own fault the line was still going, they decided to start the show, making the remaining paying customers who were outside miss the 30 dollar a ticket show opening, they got some nerve!. The drinks arrived after 30 min wait and the food took over 50min to come out. I was so hungry that I could not even pay attention to what was going on around me, I did notice that they have 5 waiters for a room that could easily have 150 ppl. That is the reason why all took so long, they were clearly understaffed. Spent 40 dollars at the bar and inside another 23 dollars of mandatory spend for 2 items in the not so cheap food and drink menu. To top it off an employee with a ZZ Top woth length beard was serving food ... just down right unsanitary. I had a BLUE CHEESE AND BACON CHEESE BURGER - the meat was a bit over cooked, that was probably because of the rush that the kitchen is probably in as they have to cook all of this food super fast during the show and absolutely fail at it, they probably pre cook it and the when we order the gear it up thus taking up the juices and over cooking the meat to a rubber LOADED FRIES - This was the only item I kind of liked it here. This was a good serving of fries with some great flavors, this is a must with you are getting something that has fries on the side, definetly do that. The comedian in my opinion was a very specific comedian for a specific crowed and it was not at all for me, so not even that was good in the end of the day. In the end of this Saturday night is spend upwards of 90 to 100 dollars to just get out of there super irritated, this place is not worth the amount of money you will spend there, save your money and go elsewhere.

The Funny Bone does have great acts that come through, but how the place is set up is always a mess. Sometimes you get sat with you back to the stage and they always pack in everyone, so you better like your neighbor. The food is fairly decent, but on the expensive side and with like most comedy clubs there are minimum orders.

Over crowded as hell and shit service

Extremely terrible seating. You pay 96.00 for a "two person table" to be seated at the worlds smallest table with two strangers.

Went last Friday to see Vicki Barbolack who was runner up on AGT. We had great seats and a table for ourselves! I ordered a Blue Moon and fried mushrooms and hubby had a adult beverage and the pork sandwich. We also wanted a glass of water but they only offered bottled water so that's what we got for a steep price. Mushrooms were very good and lots of them. Hubby enjoyed his sandwich and the performance was very funny! So glad we were able to drive to Dayton Funny Bone which was only a hour or so from Cbus!

Food is comparable prices to fine dining and I don't object to that, but an automatic 18% gratuity is ridiculous. I generally tip 20-25 % but do not like being made to tip automatically. The fish and chips had twice as much fish as I expected and was excellent. Craft beer is super cold and very good. first come first served is kind of a joke. The host and warm up guys were not good but Dale Jones was excellent! I use a rollator and need to sit in it and they were very accommodating. Finding the place is hard if you have not been there before and Buffy was great at guiding me street by street till I was in the right place. I was impressed and will be back when a comedian I know is performing there.

What place charges for soda refills but advertises Coke as "bottomless"? That makes no sense. Only leads me to think one thing. The seating was cramped and the place was dusty. I would absolutely never come here for a regular night out. I'd only consider going back to see a favorite comedian, and even that's pushing it. There simply aren't many I'd go back for. Audio was also crap, terrible acoustics for more than half the show. For a first visit, this was a huge letdown. We won't be in a hurry to return. Price gouging in 2026 is crazy work. 2/10 which is 1 star. Great job.

We had French frys, and a cauliflower crust cheese pizza Frys were fresh and hot, and the pizza had good tasting sause with plenty of cheese. The club it self is very simple but clean. Staff was freindly and wait staff and others were very pleasant. We went on an amateur night and most comedians were pretty good even the not so good ones were funny in there own way. as humor is very subjective. Amateur night was only $5 each to get in and they have a 2 item minimum per person so we just ate to cover the minimum. The biggest issue I have with them is the auto gratuity of 20%. I always tip well (Usually 30% or better for good service, as tipping is an earn item not expected), but do not tip with an auto gratuity. As they are saying they do not expect more.

A weirdly located little gem that I hope to visit again and again!…read more I went to see a comedian by the name of Greg Fitzsimmons. He had been plugging his upcoming date in "Dayton". Well, I kept checking his website and the website of the main comedy club in Dayton, OH, and couldn't find anything. So, I emailed him and asked. And that's when he said, "Sh*t, you're right. It's Dayton, KY. I need to tell people that!" That's when I learned there was a Dayton, KY and a comedy club in Dayton, KY. Using Waze, as I do, I set my course for Commonwealth Sanctuary in Dayton, KY. Fairly straight forward....driving along.... Waze says I'm almost there. A few turns later, I'm smack-dab in the middle of a neighborhood. There it was. In the middle of the block, on a residential side street, was what looks to be a former church. A small church, but obviously once a church. Residential houses on each side and across the street. But that was it. I walked up, confirmed I was in the right place and that was it. Upon entering, you're asked your name to get checked in. Then, someone walks you to your table. It's a small room. Very small room with a small altar....I mean stage, at the front. While walking up, the person seating me pointed out where the restrooms were and the exits, in case I needed either. She then pointed out their menu and order cards. She explained that each item has a number (kind of like ordering sushi) and said just write down the numbers and someone will pick it up. She pointed out they do silent ordering and silent check drops in order to not interrupt the show. THIS IS BRILLIANT! Every comedy club in the world should take note of this and make this the standard. There is nothing more aggravating that getting asked, or hearing the next table get asked, if they're "good" or God forbid order a bunch more drinks or food. Then, there's the dreaded check drops and payment at the table. I cannot think of a worse interruption than the check drop at my table and surrounding tables. Commonwealth Sanctuary does it right. They had quite a few hot food items, sandwiches, snacks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. It was actually a nice menu. During this visit, I simply ordered a Snapple Iced Tea. The club is small and intimate. This is good and bad and I witnessed both. The good - the comic can easily do crowd work and go back and forth with audience members, if they choose. The bad is when you ALWAYS, have the person in the crowd who then sees this as an invite to be part of the rest of the show. The level of severity of these people is always related to their level of intoxication. So, there's that. No comedy club is free from that element. Would I go back? 100%! Nice little place. Weird location, but a very cool discovery. They have open mics, local comics and national touring comics coming through all the time. It is literally so small and intimate that it feels like you're at someone's house. But, that's not a bad thing. Ticket prices are fair and quite low as are the food and beverage prices. Commonwealth Sanctuary really has it going on. It would have been nice to see more people at this particular show, but you can't blame that on the club. It could be a number of things. My biggest hope is that word gets around about this little gem in our area because their friendly staff really go out of their way to make this a nice and fun place to come and see a good show. Check it out!!!
