We had to board our 1 year old GSD for a week. We were worried at first because she can be reactive and very energetic but immediately she took to the staff and was so happy. I love how they kept telling me to call to get updates as many times as I needed and they understood that I might be anxious with a first boarding experience. Would love to give more than 5 stars!!! This group of people are amazing. We have used both the grooming services as well the boarding facility and with each visit our kids are well taken care of. The facility was created with pets needs in mind, operations are organized and clients are always contacted with reminders of their appointments. Pet has special needs, no problem, Pet needs meds, no problem, pet has food alergy, no problem, pet doesnt want to play with other, no problem. Don't understand how anyone could find any issues with Funny Faces as they go above and beyond. They are very accomodating when having to drop off/pick up your kids. We have been taking our dogs to Tim for almost 14 years even before they moved to the new facility . Each of our three dogs loved it there. I usual had them bathe our dogs the day of pick up. First time bringing my pups to this place and I am completely satisfied with the service , e staff is friendly , patient and extremely informative, I was a little nervous leaving my dogs for the first time and they sent me the requested pics of my dogs and gave me full info on how they were doin , usually n the past my shepherd does not so good at past boarding places and comes home very scared and nervous but this time !??? I have taken my girl Balla here multiple times, not only are the staff at the front desk friendly and helpful, they take great care of my dog! I have never had a problem, the process of booking her is quick and easy and drop off/pick up are a breeze. I usually pack a backpack full of toys, food and treats for her, when I pick her up and unpack I'll see that they labeled all her toys to assure they make it back home with her and have given her plenty of treats! My wife and I moved here in May and we have been searching and searching for a dog groomer. The groomer here is so amazing. She's very good with our little man Sven and she remembers all the little details that we tell her! She even remembered when our baby is due after just one appointment with her :) our little man will let us know when a groomer is too rough with him or if he didn't like it and he is always smiling when we pick him up! There isn't much to choose from when it comes to dog boarding in the Lemoore, Hanford area. I toured a few places yesterday because I needed to board my dog for the night on a Friday night. Funny Faces gave me a real nice impression from the moment I walked in. The place is very clean, the owner was nice and gave me a tour. The kennels were well kept and the outdoor runs were also very well taken care of and inviting. I really liked what I saw and plan to use this place in the future. The only reason I am not using it today is because they are closed at 12 on Saturday and closed all day Sunday. I only needed one night from Friday night until Saturday night but would have had to keep my dog there until Monday because of their weekend hours. I hope their new location will offer better hours on weekends to accommodate people like me who may not need to keep the dog there an entire weekend. read more

We love taking our two dogs here when we travel! Of course I'd prefer to have a family member house sit so they could stay home but it's not realistic for us. But if the choice is having to board them this is the place I trust and have peace of mind when leaving my fur babies. It is pricey so one must consider their budget when planning a trip but it's worth it. We've checked out other places that charge less but I would not leave our dogs there and have the same feeling of the level of care and environment they get here. The staff is wonderful and the facility is spotless. I also love that my dogs get to spend considerable time outside weather permitting. Excellent Kennel!! Outstanding facility, very clean and well maintained. They have indoor air conditioned kennels and out side play areas which are shaded to help keep the pets cool during the hot summer months and They let the dogs out several times a day to run around and play. If your pet requires meds they will administer them for you, but charge a small fee to do so. A bit expensive, $20/night, $19 for military but the owner and staff are wonderful people and you get the feeling your pet will be well cared for! I use them all the time and my 1 1/2 year old Lab loves staying there. Highly recommended!! read more

Won't be returning. We chose Funny Faces initially because the location was convenient, but started to find the 9-5 hours more and more prohibitive with two busy working schedules (military and medicine). We could definitely never get the daycare option to work out. We decided to give it one more try for a trip out of town before Easter. I scheduled a stay To start Tuesday and pick up Sunday, having no problems with the initial booking, and getting a confirmation email. I got a call a few days later to inform me that they would be closed for Sunday, and I needed to choose either Saturday or Monday to pick up. Since we already had flights coming in Saturday night, I was forced to choose adding an extra day, without any other option (could we pay ahead of time and have the back office staff just give us our dog?). When my husband went to pick the dog, and asked to have the extra day removed from the bill (since we didn't want it, and had no choice), the owner informed him that I could not have possibly booked to pick up Sunday and insinuated that I was lying regarding the initial reservation (despite having a confirmatory email). He begrudgingly removed the extra day from the bill, and rudely turned around and walked away, returning only to throw our dogs bed at my husband's feet without saying another word. Kind of a shame the hours and attitude were so bad; I think our dog actually had fun there, or at least he always came home exhausted! read more

I can hardly bear leaving our cats anywhere. We own 2 cats. I really hate leaving them any time. So when going to vet we saw this lovely facility. We decided to give it a try when we had an emergency funeral we wanted to attend. The bed and biscuit was very understanding of our concerns. They stayed two nights. They were able to stay together in a nice space that was large enough to have both of their cat carriers inside. They slept at night in their carriers. (Their choice) the doors were taken off so no possibility of injury. When they returned home they were their old selves. We have boarded dogs in other kennels years ago and when they came home they would take days to readjust. Not so with the cats. They just fell into their routine not missing a step. I feel better about going on a longer vacation now and leaving the cats. We had them stay together in one room. The cost was $30 per day (for both of the cats). It was a cost well spent. The kennel is very clean. Cats couldn't see or hear the dogs. When my husband picked the cats up the kennel had washed the items we left with the cats. This is a very friendly place to leave your pets. The only thing I would have liked was if they were open later we could have picked the cats up when we returned home. read more

I'm thankful we have a place nearby I can trust with my Shibas when I go out of town. My boy gets very anxious and is an escape artist. I wouldn't trust him with just anyone. We've even tried boarding him at veterinarian offices before and still he comes home with bald spots. But at funny faces they both look so happy and raring to go home when I pick them up, with pretty coats to boot . Sure it's pricey but my dogs are my babies and I'd rather not take any chances. read more

I love taking my dog here and they are so nice and accommodating! When I call to check in on her they will send me pictures and keep me updated on her friends. Everything a pet mom needs and wants to know they are willing to provide. I have gone multiple times and am returning again next week. My husband and I needed to board our kitty for a couple of weeks and visited to see what the requirements were and to make reservations. Tim, one of the owners, gave us the vaccination and health requirements and we were given a tour. The cat boarding area was clean, odor-free, indoors at a comfortable temperature, and the cats there seemed content. We were grateful that Tim told us that we needed to take the cat to the vet a.s.a.p. since one vaccination required both an initial shot and a booster about 3 - 4 weeks later. We had just enough time to do that before leaving. We later emailed the business with a question and received a quick response. Our cat was formerly a wild stray roaming the neighborhood. Having once been a free-ranging cat, he wasn't at all happy at being confined in a cage, so the staff put him into a larger area so he wouldn't feel so trapped. They even provided him with places to hide, which he does when he's scared. Even though he is afraid of strangers and probably gave the staff much more trouble than other cats, Tim is still willing to board him there again! The owner and all of the staff we dealt with were friendly and clearly love animals. We have peace of mind knowing he'll be cared for by people who truly want to do their best for the animals in their care. read more

Tim the owner of Funny Faces in Hanford is very unprofessional. I have been bringing my dogs and cat hear for 2yrs or so. Never had a problem. Staffs are so nice and care for my pets when needed until June 2021. Due to their cancellation policy went into effect right after things got lifted. When I spoke to Tim he was very rude and I was 1 day over from the cancellation date. I explain to him my situation and he did not care and demanded to pay for the cancellation fee. He then got loud and sarcastic when I told him I'm not paying due to an emergency situation that came up. I apologized to him and he said no worries we will cancel reservation with no charge this one time. He never said he's putting a red flag on my pets to not come to facility until today 8/10/21 when I spoke to the receptionist whom informed me that you are no longer able to book with us in the future all because of one cancellation fee that I didn't comply by calling on the 3rd day which I did but he claim we didn't get your message. This owner needs a reality check . Taking my pets to someone who loves to help not be greedy. read more

I was a little disappointed to learn that the dogs are just put out in a kennel for outside time. I was under the impression they were let out for free play time. My one dog has high energy and loves to run, the kennel does not allow that freedom. Aside from that the facility was very nice and the prices was more than reasonable. read more

My dog Daisy has been my constant companion and best friend for 11 years. I was visiting my deployed husband in Bahrain (a 24 hour hour trip away and a significant time difference) when I received a text from Funny Faces that Daisy had sudden onset paralysis. They had tried calling and leaving a voicemail but despite having an international plan the calls had not come through. Not giving up, the owner used his cell phone to text me. That, I did receive. I so appreciate his tenacity it communicating. He had the vet next door come examine Daisy and also transported her to Lacey Animal Hospital (her vet) to have her own doctor see her. No small feat, Daisy is a 120 pound dog and with the paralysis her back half was dead weight. In addition to the medical care, they kept her clean, comfortable, and comforted for the two days it took me to get back. They also sent detailed updates. The help did not end there. It was clear she would have to be put to sleep but I wanted to bring her home for a night and have some time to say goodbye. My husband is gone, and I was stressed the whole trip home about lining up local friends who were strong enough to help transport her from boarding to home. And then from home to her vet. It turns out that was a needless worry. Tim, the owner, and a very nice member of his staff, loaded her into my car then followed us home. They helped get Daisy inside and comfortable. Then RETURNED the next morning, before their opening hours, not only to help get Daisy from my house into the car but met me at the vet to help bring her into the procedure room. The vet has staff and we could have *managed* but Tim was experienced with moving her, she was comfortable with him, and he did not want any part of her final time to be stressful. I cannot express how grateful my husband and I are to Tim and to all the staff at Funny Faces. Loosing our Daze so suddenly was incredibly difficult. My fiance has been boarding with this establishment for many years and has never had a bad experience until the last two times but they were both SUCH horrible experiences that I feel like the public should be made aware so that they don't befall the same fate as us. Bad experience #1 Last year after my fiance picked up our dog from them he was limping and could nearly walk, he's a very energetic dog so when I came home from work and saw him in that condition I freaked out. My first thought was someone kicked him, idk. But after I picked him and looked at his paws I saw that the pads were blistered and all messed up. I didn't give myself time to calm down, I picked up the phone called them and gave them what for, I was very rude and I should have been more calm when asking why they injured my baby. They basically blamed the injury on us not packing a security blanket and treats for him which we've always done in the past but that is NO excuse for ignoring his repeatedly jumping out of anxiety and not calling us to ask if he could have a benadryl to calm him like they did last year when his behavior got out of control. By now we have a WELL established relationship and they know better, they just didn't care. Bad experience #2 September 13 I sat right next to my fiance on the couch when he called and made a reservation for October 8th, almost a month in advance. When we arrived we were told we DO NOT have a reservation and they're ALL full. The owner asked who we talked to and when we made the reservation, we didn't remember her name and when we said, like 3 weeks ago he said "oh we were all full 3 weeks ago" and "we don't make this mistake" Really buddy, cuz it looks like you're making it now! We shouldn't have taken our dog back there anyways and NEVER WILL AGAIN! So just beware when you make a reservation get some kind of confirmation number or perhaps record the conversation because that man has no integrity and should be ashamed of how his business is being run read more
