While I was in Las Vegas, I stopped by the café located inside the hotel where I was staying. First impressions? The aesthetics are everything. If you are into social media, this place is basically photo opportunity ready, with so many cute little nooks, beautiful decor, and plenty of spots that deserve a picture. But alas, I did not come for the photo opportunities. I came for the food. I ordered my classic caramel latte along with a ham and cheese croissant, and that croissant was the highlight for me. It was incredibly flaky, buttery, and just what I wanted with my coffee. Overall, I would describe the food as solid, standard café fare. Nothing particularly groundbreaking, but everything was enjoyable and satisfying. The hours are also limited, so keep that in mind. They open early in the morning but close relatively early in the day. That actually makes it a great option if you are an early riser and want to grab breakfast and coffee before heading out to explore Las Vegas, especially before the heat of the day kicks in. We had 25 dollar food credit and needed a quick lunch for the hotel room, so we searched and found this coffee counter for some lunch instead of the kitchen express. We spied two ham and cheese croissants for 8.99 and a bag of chips for 5 and got it to go. The cashier was super friendly. They heated our croissants and bagged them up efficiently. The area downstairs is very inviting for a quick bite or coffee. Food was very good...not too rich and we enjoyed our lunch. We stayed at the Virgin Hotel and found this cute coffee/tea place that is located inside! Its in the Opal Tower area all the way back. This is more of a grab and go- but they do have minimal seating inside and also directly in front. They have a variety of pastries (which change often) and breakfast items/sandwiches. They offer a wide selection of coffee and tea flavors. We really enjoyed this place and stopped by 2 out of the 4 days we were there. The pastries/sandwiches tasted high quality and homemade. I also enjoyed the drinks- they have lots of flavor options. I did not see them listed but if you ask they will tell you. It is expensive, but most everything in Las Vegas is. We got 2 drinks, 2-3 pastries and it was $48. You can use your Hilton food credits here which is really nice! I would come back- overall experience 4/5. read more

Since Virgin Hotel doesn't have coffee makers in their room, you have to go downstairs to their restaurant, Dunkin, or this cute little spot. Glad I chose right! The employee was friendly, even though it was early. She answered my questions about their syrups and milk choices without issue. They also made my vanilla latte extra hot, per my request. I just grabbed a large coffee, which was, I believe, four dollars. The server was friendly enough, but he seemed more interested in his conversation with a co-worker, but not rude or anything. The coffee was decent and had a decent enough price point (especially considering that it is Las Vegas). During my stay at Virgin Hotel, I stopped by Funny Library Coffee Shop one morning, excited to try their hot lavender mocha latte--I love anything lavender-flavored, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The drink was barely lukewarm, overly syrupy, and way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't even finish it and ended up throwing it away. As someone who needs a good cup of coffee in the morning, this was really disappointing. Under slept and needed caffeine... I ordered a large black coffee and the spinach mushroom egg tart. The total came to around $18. Well that woke me up. On the plus side, they broke the $50 bill I needed to get rid of, but on the "un-plus" side, quite expensive and I needed a $50 bill to cover breakfast. Who I need to recognize is Rachelle, this place has a line that doesn't stop. Rachelle literally was running of a system of taking your order, payment, making your drink, and lightning fast. I stay at the virgin hotel at least once a month. I typically stay in the Ruby tower so it is more convenient for me to visit Dunkin'. Today, I decided that I wanted to try this location. It is a short walk, located near the Opal tower. One star because the set up is absolutely beautiful with lots of comfortable seating if you'd like to sit and read or work on your laptop while enjoying your treat. Second star because my iced chai latte was wonderful and refreshing. It wasn't too sweet and had just the right blend of sweet and sultry. Sometimes Chai can be super spicy. Also the value for the money is decent. I feel like their items are reasonably priced for what you get. I cannot give any stars for customer service. When I approached around 11a there was literally only one other person being served. The cashier was extremely rude. I initially asked if they had a decaf iced coffee. She said no and then I asked what they had in decaf. Her body language/tone and overall demeanor was as if I was bothering her by asking questions. She did not greet me and she didn't not thank me after I paid for my order. Next the barista was calling out orders. Rather than place them in a way that would be easy for guests to grab I had to shuffle through (and touch) other guests drinks to get my own. Lastly, they literally had no pastries available. At all. There were two muffins. I understand that they close at 1, however with such a basic menu I think they should have more things in stock. Overall the employees don't seem like they really want to be at work and I will not visit again based on the customer service. If you enjoy chai iced tea and can get past the horrible customer service, this is your place! read more

I loved this cafe. Not a lot of seating but definitely an instagramable spot. It's inside the Virgin Hotel and is quite a walk from the main entrance to the hotel. Tried the iced vanilla latte and some of the immunity health shots they had. All of which were really good. They have a few breakfast items like sandwich's and stuff which were good as well. We came over from a different hotel and were kind of underwhelmed so not worth the trek if you aren't actually at the Virgin Hotel. Also might be a little pricey for some folks I think for three coffees, 2 immunity shots, their quiche, a sandwich, and a burrito it was approx $70. This is a cute little cafe inside Virgin Hotel, near the Opal Tower and Paradise Parking Garage. It's actually kind of cozy and if I lived closer to Virgin Hotel, I'd be here a lot more. Prices are a bit high, but not that bad considering it's in the middle of a hotel. There are a couple of smaller tables near the counter, and there's a large standing desk in the hallway, which outlets, for those who need a quick recharge with their breakfast. I ordered a chocolate croissant and a matcha latte. Both were decent, although the texture of the chocolate croissant was definitely not like most croissants I've tried. Horrible. Ordered their featured drink, the "candy bar latte". The photo had chocolate and caramel drizzles and candy bar pieces but when I got it, it's just a latte with whipped cream and minimal caramel drizzle. The barista say they "don't have to necessarily look the same as the advertisement as long as it tastes the same". I was excited to try this place when I walked by it on my way to my room. Unfortunately I was disappointed. First off the menu was bare bones. I wouldn't have known what kind of lattes they had because all it says was "Latte" on the menu. I peeked on the side to see what flavored syrups they had and I got an iced lavender latte. And I got a chai latte for my bf. The cashier was extremely rude to the person in front of me and had a bad attitude overall. When my order was taken, she looked absolutely miserable. I get if you don't like this job but you're in customer service, you should at least try. I will say this coffee shop matches the cute and eclectic decor of this hotel and it does look nice. December monthly special is my favorite drink - Peppermint Mocha. I ordered it and a ham cheese croissant to take back to our room. We are staying in the Ruby Tower here at the Virgin Hotel in Vegas and this place is on the other side of the property. However it was well worth the morning walk through the hotel. My only downside comment to this place is the prices are ridiculously high. Case in point I bought a coffee and a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and a bottle of water. $24.
