I usually rent from them every year during my lake vacation. I've never had any problem with them. They have the jet ski ready on time and it works perfectly. They give you good instructions if you are new but don't hassle you much if you know what you are doing. This most recent rental was right at the 4 PM time when jet skis are allowed on the weekend so we had 8 people starting simultaneously. I went a few minutes over to get my full hour in (since we got a bit of a late start) and they didn't give me any trouble at all about it. Staff is always super helpful getting you on and off the dock. Prices are up a bit this year (I assume because of inflation and higher gas prices) but that wasn't a shock. I would recommend reserving online a couple days in advance to get a good time slot. You can walk up but the most popular time slots usually sell out. I expect to continue renting here for years to come. I usually ride solo but my kids are getting older and the jet skis are big enough that you can add a second or third person comfortably. I will say that the lake was very crowded with boats on the weekend so if you can rent during the week you will likely have a better experience (unless you like the choppy water.) I also recommend filling out the waiver online (they send it to you via email) in advance. I like to go fast and when the lake isn't crowded I can basically tour the entire lake with all its branches in just under an hour. That's the beauty of Deep Creek. There is a bit of lead time before your rental to watch the safety video and take a quiz but if you know what you are doing you can maybe arrive 15 minutes early instead of 30. Good location with plenty of food and snacks for purchase nearby if someone is waiting for you to return. read more

Group of 35! We rented Boats and Jet Skis. Be mindful that check-in will take some times and getting life jackets, etc., took us like 30-40 mins. We rented 3 boats and took turns giving rides in the boats. We did the tubes/rafts which was so fun, swam in the water. The boats accommodated 11 people and the boats ran perfectly. Boats have BLUETOOTH to connect your phone for music. Easy to drive. Definitely need some common sense to drive the boat or someone with experience but easy to learn and figure out. Plenty of space and seating. We had a blast. "Our plan: We took turns leaving people at the dock where there were picnic tables, so we brought food and drinks. The smaller kids were able to play in the shallow water close to the docks and picnic tables. This made it easy to take a few laps in the boats and come back to the docks to swap turns. I recommend bringing a cooler with food drinks for hydration and towels or foldable chairs for sitting and waiting in your in a big group like ours." The deckhands/dock boys were super cool and helpful. Good attitudes and made the process easy. They were definitely had patience with our HUGE GROUP! Were literally going back this October 2025. It's already booked! lol Note: Jet Skis, you can book 1 jet ski for 2 people can ride on one jet ski, or you can rent 1 jet ski per person. Its like $139 per jet ski. read more

We found Fun Time on-line when searching for Boat Rentals in Deep Creek. We compared and their pricing was very reasonable. They also allowed 1/2 day rentals late into the season. We booked our boat with a tube to ride, on-line. We filled out our liability forms in advance and we arrived 1/2 hour early for our boat rental like they suggest. They were friendly checking us in and we were on the boat after the safety briefing ready to leave right on time. We are not regular boaters but we have rented boats in the past, and the dock crew was very open to answering any questions and showing us around the boat. The boat was in good shape and ran great . Very comfortable for a beautiful day on the lake. The boat pulled the tube with no issues and was allot of fun. We brought the boat back on time and told the dock master that we used approx a 1/4 tank of fuel. After checking out I noticed that a $25 charge was added for the fuel & the security deposit was released on my credit card within an hour of checking out. $25 for 1/4 tank of fuel is a great deal for anyone who has tried to fill their tank on the water. We come to Deep Creek regularly and Fun Time will get our business in the future. Start to finish a great experience! read more

I know this is a late review, but my husband and I went here September 2020 for our honeymoon and had the best experience! The staff members were helpful in getting everything together, the price was fair, the boats were in great shape, and they are really knowledgeable. We were having so much fun out on the water that we kept calling them asking to add another hour on to our rental. We were lucky because dying busy season and were able to stay our a few extra hours. They gave us some tips on the best fishing spots and areas with the best views. They have awesome customer service and we will only be using them when we come back for another visit to Deep Creek. My friend is making a trip up there soon and I told them they had to use Funtime Watersports for their boat rental. I highly recommend them and feel safe and secure using their boats. Rented a pontoon for a family outing, and had to call and reschedule twice due to work schedules. The young boys that answered the phone and rescheduled me were super nice, and the process was no problem, even sending me a confirming e-mail immediately with my new reservation date each time. Our boat was ready on time, clean, was in great shape, and ran well. Returned the boat and they topped it off with gas and charged us only for what we used. Also received immediate e-mails of receipts showing what we were charged for gas, what we had paid for the boat rental, and a credit given back from the security deposit. We had no problems at all. The staff was easy going, happily answered all our questions, and were energetic. The whole process was very easy and stress free. I would definitely use them again. Only negative is the parking lot is really tight where you leave your car. read more

Our family of 11 had a wonderful time renting a pontoon boat for a beautiful afternoon on the lake! The price was fair and the staff was INCREDIBLE. When we told the staff member that we had to return to the dock to pick up some other members of our party later, he was there waiting for us to help us dock and safely allow our other folks to board. He was very kind, willing and remembered to be there when we said. I was very impressed with this young man--so caring! The boat was spic and span and a very comfortable ride, even for our 84 year young family member! Some of us chose to fish, while others of us relaxed, watched the scenery and played games. Great experience! A group of 11 of us rented a pontoon for my friend's bachelorette party. Everyone was super helpful from when we got to the building and had to fill out forms to when we got on the pontoon. There was a girl on the dock who explained everything to us and showed us how to work the pontoon clearly. She was super friendly and helped us get off to a great start! The pontoon we rented was clean and ran perfectly. They also allowed us to decorate it with some streamers and banners for our bachelorette party! We had no issues bringing food or drinks on the boat and overall just had a great time! You do have to pay extra for gas depending on how many hours you had the boat so just be aware of that. *Excellent** customer service!! We purchased the Funtime booking protection and it was well worth it. We unfortunately had rain on and off throughout our week- long vacation to Deep Creek, but because we had the protection plan we were able to easily move around our reservation time to best fit the good weather windows. The staff at Funtime were very helpful and accommodating and we feel like they went above and beyond to make it work out for us! The boats were in great condition and easily held the 11 people in our family (6 adults and 5 children). We rented a tube and the kids (and adults!) loved it. I highly recommend Funtime, especially because I'm not aware of another outfitter at Deep Creek that offers booking protection. read more

I really can't complain. I know there are a lot of people who complain about their refund/cancellation policies but it is spelled out VERY clearly when you book. You CAN purchase an insurance policy that offers you a chance of rescheduling up to 48 hrs before. That said, we had hoped to reschedule (it was predicted to rain 100% the day we reserved) but we didn't purchase any protection plan, and they were sold out so we figured in the rain we would go! We had zero issues, super easy check in, clear directions and assistance taking off and super easy check out. No issues with the boat minus some trash in cup holders we had to clear out. The boat seemed brand new, it was in great condition. We would 100% rent from them again. read more

Straight up - after pulling smoothly out of the dock, I wrecked our pontoon into another boat docked at Funtime Watersports (to my husband's chagrin). Capital cringe! A video provided to prepare me for my day on the lake wasn't enough. But the staff was professional - kind, calm, and honest. From what they told me, accidents like mine happen at least once a week, so don't be me. I guess if I was gonna f-up so royally , I was grateful to embarrass myself in front of a compassionate crew. And that no one got hurt!! I'd recommend Funtime Watersports in a heartbeat. Our experience on their pontoon was the best and worst of my experiences on DCL this week. Rented a pontoon boat from here for an hour. Was a great time. Workers friendly, patient, and gave great boating instructions to me and my group. The pontoon boat was in good shape, clean, and easy to maneuver. We couldn't get our phones to connect to the bluetooth on the boat though, so we had no music. The team here is very professional, with good customer service, resulting in a smooth operation. Reserving online was a breeze, but signing the waiver forms electronically in their office touchpads was somewhat not user friendly. Fist time renting from Funtime Watersports. I initially reserved online. It was easy to find and easy to sign up. Glad we rented early in the afternoon when we returned it was extremely crowded. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. None of us had ever driven a pontoon boat before but the staff explained all questions we had. The boat was so fun we also rented a tube and all the children and adults had the time of their life!! I would highly recommend. The boat had issues 2 hours before the rental was over they offered to get us on another boat but since we were already out for 6 hours we felt we had enough so they didn't charge us for gas! Efficient and excellent customer service - took care of the inevitable waivers and pre-boarding speeches quickly. The pontoon boat was very clean and did not give us any trouble at all. All 11 of us from 3 families had a fantastic time around the lake and the the tube was awesome. I had asked for the tube at the last minute and they gave it to me without question, and didn't even charge for it. We brought the pontoon back half an hour late - and they didn't even say a word about it. I have been to many places around the world and I can say without reservation that this place is better than most in customer service! We will be back next summer most certainly! read more

Visited Deep Creek for the first time with my family and we wanted to rent a pontoon for a few hours. We used their website to reserve a time and boat which was very easy to do. After reserving our time slot they emailed us the forms to fill out so we could save time at check in. We still showed up 30 minutes early as recommended to check in, since we already completed the forms we were able to get our boat early which meant we gained rental time. The staff was very helpful and assisted us in getting loaded up and pushing off. I would definitely recommend using Funtime for all you water rental needs they have a great staff and their equipment is top notch! read more

They are one of the more reasonably priced renters on the lake in a very convenient location. Setup and the boating course were quick and easy, employees had us ready in about 20 minutes. The boat was in good shape and ran well. The boats they have are on the low end of the power with 70HP outboards but looking around at the 90HP rentals, the cost savings with Funtime was worth it. Boat return was also really easy, took only a few minutes. The flat rate for gas can be annoying if all you do is go sit and drink in the lake but it does make the whole process much easier. Having to go to the marina to fill up takes away from valuable rental time. read more

We have rented pontoon boats from other places on Deep Creek Lake, and this was our best experience yet! The staff members were very polite and professional. The instructions and brief training given before taking the boat out were very helpful and easy to understand. We didn't have any trouble parking, and this business was in a great central location to where we were staying. We booked online, which was very easy and it was nice to be able to fill out the liability forms online ahead of time as well. Pricing was very reasonable and the pontoon boat was in beautiful condition. We will definitely rent from Funtime again! :-) read more

The staff and kayak were great. No complaints and the price was reasonable. However, using a kayak on Deep Creek Lake is really not a great idea. We were the only non-motorized watercraft on the entire part of the lake we were at (we were out for 2 hours). I don't think they should be renting out kayaks to out-of-towners like us. More than one pontoon boat came up to us and said that they couldn't see us and only avoided us at the last minute. Maybe the drivers were drunk or old or whatever, but it still made me realize that kayaks/canoes/rowboats around here are not a good idea. Next time, I'll rent a jet ski. read more

We rented a pontoon this weekend for 5 hours and had a great time! Funtime has the best prices in the area and the process is really easy. My dog was permitted on the boat so that was a bonus for me. The boat was clean and we had no issues with it. Be aware that they do not give weather-related refunds and that they charge for gas upon returning the boat - they do not give the option of getting your own gas if you rent for over one hour. The cost seemed to be reasonable, however, I do not know what the current gas prices were. It was fantastic being out on the water on a sunny day. We'll be back next year! read more

We had such an amazing experience booking and renting from this company. I had contacted Funtime Watersports's many times over the course of trying to figure out what to rent for a bachelor and bachelorette group. Not only did they answer my emails within minutes of sending it, but they were extremely helpful and kind in helping me set it up. We were very nervous about driving the boat and wanted to relax so we ended up renting a captain through them for the trip.
