I'm so glad to have returned to Furniture Fair and remind myself of their extensive offerings. In the next 12-18 months I have plans to update several rooms in our home. I crave a combination of function and comfort, and with our kids much older - and halfway out the door - it's time to roam the store and let my imagination churn. You'll find items for the expected spaces - bedrooms, living rooms, offices, kitchens - as well as mattresses and decor accessories. Styles and brands offer variety of looks and prices. We found several things we'd consider and a couple of things we hadn't even put on our list, but will likely purchase. Our sales rep was super helpful in answering questions, showing us fabric options, sharing prices of upgrades, etc. while also giving us time to wander. Purchasing and delivery went well but never purchase the extended warranty. I purchased a power recliner and the motor went out. I contacted Furniture Fair and they had me contact Montage. This is the company that fulfills the warranty. This has went back and forth for 6 months and the chair still is not fixed. I just got a call and it will be another month before a repair technician can come out. They are a disaster. Save your money and just avoid Furniture Fair and Montage. read more

Floor model looks good, the one you get has too many wrinkles or one section doesn't match the other, southern motion and best furniture co say this is in guidelines. I bought a loveseat, purchased the protection warranty and the loveseat has a warranty. The cushion has a problem with the front of it but they won't stand behind it. the manufacturer says it is up to the retailer to take care of. Do not buy Southern Motion brand couch. Special order, color shades don't match. Skimpy foam/wrinkles. Repair came out replace cushion...center stripe larger/crooked than other 2 original. Store contacted factory, which replied "This is within acceptable limits". Am still dealing with the store to straighten this out. So far no luck as they keep saying looking into it. Also bought a dresser that was defective and after 3 attempts to fix it they did let me exchange for a better one. Will not shop here again as of this point. read more

Zero customer service and no accountability. Furniture Fair's delivery team damaged my sofa during delivery and also damaged 2 exterior door frames and weather stripping at my home. This damage was caused during the delivery process and was captured on exterior security cameras. Since reporting the issue, I've experienced months of excuses, delays, and non-responses. Despite repeated attempts to resolve this, no meaningful assistance was provided by Debbie Eveatt, Matt Furnish, or Gail Washbish. Communication was poor to nonexistent, and responsibility was repeatedly deflected. If you choose to purchase from Furniture Fair, protect yourself. read more

I bought a couch and ottoman from Furniture Fair Louis Louisville location in December. They said the ottoman would be delivered later than the couch. The ottoman has never come. They assured me that it would be delivered by a certain time. And, it never was brought to my home although it is now May. The salesman within the last couple of days after saying he'd look in to it has now decided to stop responding which means I may have to take legal action I was trying to avoid. I would not purchase anything from this company if you want to actually get the entire products at agreed upon. A small fortune was spent on my custom-made sofa. On delivery day the two professional furniture movers couldn't get it in my living room after nearly an hour of trying. They rubbed salt in the wound by saying I was stuck with it, and it was dumped in my garage. They did manage to inflict what they claim is unrepairable damage. It took me and two other non-professional furniture movers less than ten minutes to get the sofa in the living room. After reading several reviews, the warranty I purchased is rarely honored and worthless. Looks like I'll pay someone of my choosing to attempt repairs. read more

I visited Furniture Fair for the first time in July. The store is in a great location, at the corner of Hurstbourne and Taylorsville. It's very spacious, and items are laid out by room type rather than style, which in my opinion makes it easier to shop. Once I made it to the side with dining room sets, I could see they had a wide variety and that I'd have no problem finding something I liked. Sure enough, I found just what I was looking for. Prices are lower than other chains nearby, and they frequently have sales. The dining room set I chose was reasonably priced, and on sale on top of that. During all my time wandering around the store and marveling at the merchandise, no sales people pounced on me. I dislike shopping in furniture stores where sales people hound you the whole time. Here, sales people were either helping customers or standing out on the floor, not hovering. I had to actually go and find someone to ask some questions about the furniture in which I was interested. The salesperson I spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable. I placed my order on July 27th, and my item was backordered. I was told it would be in stock in late August, and I received a call on August 30th saying the set was in stock and I could schedule the delivery as early as September 3rd. I scheduled it for the 11th, and on the 8th I received a call to confirm my information. The day before I was texted and emailed a two-hour delivery window. I did not receive a call before the truck came, but they did come at the beginning of the two-hour window, so I wasn't left waiting long. The people who delivered and assembled my dining room set were very professional, and did everything very quickly. They set up the table just where I said, and everything looked great. I definitely had a good experience at Furniture Fair overall, and will definitely go back next time I need new furniture! read more

Customer Service... Tired and done with Furniture shopping. My wife found a Recliner Sofa that worked for the Room. The Sofa is nice and do like it! We bought the Insurance on it which covered any tears, rips, broken parts, etc. well shortly close to two years there was a rip that occurred so I went through a long detailed process of filing a claim. Furniture Fair says it's not on us, you'll have to contact Montage that covers the insurance. That was whole other ordeal which will be a different review. Furniture Fair didn't seam to care whether a customer is satisfied or disappointed after a purchase, they just quickly direct you to Montage. read more

We had an amazing experience here. We were met by a sales lady who knows her stuff(wish I could remember her name). We wanted recliners for the tv room and she didn't pressure us or push other things. She asked the right questions and steered us in the right direction. The chairs were delivered today right on time, even a little early. The two guys were polite and efficient. They even waited at the door until we got the puppy under control. I don't anticipate buying more furniture any time soon but I will definitely return to Furniture Fair. read more

I bought a couch and two recliners here in the past year. Ordered the couch in February and it arrived a few months sooner than expected. One of the zippers on the couch cushion was broke from day one. I called Furniture Fair and they said they hire another company to go out and do repairs. Repairman came to the house to fix the zipper, but he couldn't so he said he was going to order a new cover for the cushion. The cover came in and he came to the house to put it on and it was the wrong color. He ordered a new one and came to the house today and it was still the wrong color. My wife and I have to adjust the broken cover all the time to keep it covering the cushion. It's a nice couch we are happy with it, but it looks bad with the cover always bunching up because it doesn't properly cover the cushion. My wife agreed to keep the wrong color cover on until the new one arrives because she's tired of having to adjust the cover after someone sits on it. The repairman is very nice and the lady who calls to schedule is nice. I just wish them and furniture fair could figure out what color couch we bought! I'm starting to feel like I wasted $3500ish on a couch....and now it's a multi color couch. So I guess when guests are over and they ask why the couch is two different colors, then I can ask if they like it and if they say yes I recommend them to Furniture Fair. read more

Bought an expensive power recliner due to partial disabilities and paid for the 5 year protection plan. I was told that if anything happened I would call and they would replace the item. I was not told that they actually sell you a protection plan from a third party called Montage. Two years and my chair broke. I called and was passed on to Montage. They required me to go online and print, fill out and return a bunch of forms and take pictures. I waited a week and called them and was then eventually give a date for a technician to come out a month later. The technician came out a month later and said he'd put in an order for what he thought was wrong. I was given no time of how long this will take. I was also told by the technician that Montage is by far the worst company he deals with and that "he wouldn't be surprised if they didn't repair my recliner, because what am I going to do about it?" Do not shop Furniture Fair And if you do definitely don't waste money on the protection plan. It doesn't even cover pet damage but they will tell you it does. Once they have your money they do not care about you. You are passed on to Montage and at their mercy. read more

I purchased a couch on August 31 was told it would take 6 weeks max for it be delivered. 3 weeks after ordering I was called by a store manager to confirm my order. I asked him why he was calling to confirm 3 weeks before delivery date and he then told me standard delivery time on the couch I ordered was 10-12 weeks. I advised him the sales person told me and wrote on my receipt that it would be delivered in 6 weeks and he said the salesperson must have been mistaken (In the business world that's called Bait and Switch which is a shady way of doing business.) At the 6 week mark I called and spoke with a separate manager who told me she would have to research the order and call me back that evening. Of course I don't hear from her so I call back the next day only to find out it's her scheduled day off One of the owners then calls and tells me he's going to refund my delivery fee. I asked if he could mail it to me because to be honest, I didn't want to go back in that store after all of that has happened. He agreed but in true furniture fair fashion the check never came. I called him back 10 days later and he said he "forgot to send it out" Fast forward to today (almost 12 weeks later) my couch finally arrives and when the delivery crew arrives they said the wouldn't be able to get it through my front door. They called the manager, who told me the only solution was for me to wait another 12 weeks for them to rebuild it, in to two separate pieces Thank God the delivery crew had some sense. After hearing everything that has taken place since I ordered it they worked and worked until they got it in. They were very nice and apologetic unlike the store managers. I know this is a long review but I feel it was needed because their customer service was horrible from beginning til end and I was flat out lied to on several occasions. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing because this seems to be a recurring issue. Oh and I'm still waiting on my delivery refund as well...... read more

If purchasing a bed I would go elsewhere. They were very deceiving about the 30 day return policy. My salesperson was just interested in a sale. He said to purchase and if I wasn't happy just let him know and I would have a very minimal fee, which would be a re-delivery fee. However the mattress was horrible I was waking up in pain every morning! When informed him it was not going to work he first said that of course I could switch but if I wanted a lesser value bed like the Nectar I would not get any credit or money back a 600.00 difference. He said I should have bought a less expensive bed because they don't give refund or credit and I would be charged 175.00 re-delivery fee and also charged 20% cost of the mattress for 30 days of use! After leaving upset he called and said to come back in because he found a mattress that would be compatible and only 100 difference! I thought that was great! Next day he called back and it was a 500 difference once again he made a mistake! I called back and he said they would just give me a refund. I was thrilled! Next day he calls back and says" No I was told we can't do that!!!! I will never again make a purchase from Furniture Fair. The sad part is they give family owned businesses a bad name! I bought living room furniture and I was concerned about it. The manager looked me and my husband in the face and said it it is not even (cushions b/c ends were recliners) he would make it right. Within 2 weeks the end seats started to droop and when I called to say make it right and that I wanted to get a normal cough. Even if I paid more, it was considered a custom b/c they had me pick the fabric. In which every piece you order they ask what fabric and therefore now becomes custom and invalid for any refunds or exchanges !! Bought the extended warranty now battling that company to get this fixed. I will never go there again. Back to Havertys! Service and quality is 200% better. Decent in-store shopping experience. We picked out a couch and were told it would not be in for a few months - completely understood with covid. However, it has been almost 8 months and it has still not been delivered. When we initially purchased, the employee said he would call us weekly with updates - we never got any calls. We always were the ones calling in each month only to hear that delivery has been pushed back. We finally called the store and they said that the couch had been delivered a few days ago (to the store). I do not understand why they wouldn't be the ones to call us and let us know it was in and to schedule a pickup. Complete mess on the logistics end and the salespeople will say anything to get the couches sold. Definitely not worth the hassle unless you do not mind sitting around waiting for a couch for over half a year. read more

Went in to look at some things for a new place. Of course, I'm greeted by a saleswoman. I return pleasantries and say "I'm just looking". She proceeds to follow me as I make my way to the back. Saying it's her job to do so. Seriously? If I'm clearly not interested in working with a salesperson you are going to follow me and hover? It's exactly why I hate dealing with salespeople in any capacity, they hover. I feel as though I'm being watched the whole time I'm there. I will let you know if I need help lady, go away and you might get a sale. Read the room. So I power walk to the back and a decent clip hoping to lose her. No chance. She's right behind me matching my speed as best she can, heels clicking away on the floor. So I get to a bedroom set I have no interest in buying, pull out my phone and take a picture as if that's all I came to do. Then thank her and walk out. She calls from behind me asking if I wanted a print out of the set because they are better than a pic on my phone. Nope. I'm out lady. Went home and found what I needed on Amazon. They lost out on about 2k because of salespeople that wont leave you alone. Brick and mortar will die if they can't figure out a new model. Dealing with salespeople is not worth the benefit of seeing a product in person before buying IMO. read more

Our experience with Furniture Fair on Taylorsville Rd: In late August, we bought two end tables for approx. $450, so not super expensive. We were told they would arrive in 3 weeks. Four weeks later, when we hadn't been called, I called the store, no tables. A week later, was told one table was in the warehouse and the other would be there by Oct. 27. I asked if I took the first table and the other one didn't come in, could I return it since we needed matching tables? No. So I didn't pick it up. Oct. 27 came and went without tables and we were told mid November. The person that we talked to in November was VERY rude. When that passed, we were told the end of November for sure. In mid-December we were told "any day." Today, we decided it'd been long enough so wanted our money back. When I arrived, I realized I'd forgotten my receipt so called from the parking lot to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. However, the woman on the phone said we could only return it when our salesperson was working and he was off that day. I asked when he'd be working and she said she didn't know! I left. Later, someone from the store called our home and said we could return the tables (actually get a refund, no tables to return) without the person being present. (I wonder what conversation happened after I hung up to cause that call?) So I returned to the store and got a refund. The person that did it didn't say a word about the history of the tables, about the false information - nothing! No apology for the excess time, just took the card and issued a refund with minimal discussion. I get the shipping issues - but we were told multiple times "a truck is coming - it'll be on it" when it wasn't. If you decide to shop there (we never will again) only purchase if it's in stock. The idea that a return could only be made if the salesman were there is ridiculous!!!! Why would she falsely say this? read more
