Sharing with my local friends for awareness. Never buy anything from Furniture Gallery of Prince Frederick. They delivered a wrong item to me 2 times. First time it was the wrong item, then the second time - it was the right item but very visibly stained. There was not another same item they could give me in place of it so they said they would credit my account for the item not received. They credited back LESS than I was charged for it (200.00). The original receipt for 3 items showed the PRE-discounted price for each item, and then the total price for all 3 items after the discounts. It did not break down the discounted price for each individual item nor reference how much of a discount they were actually giving me. In order to find out what the exact discount was for the individual pieces, I got my handy dandy spreadsheet out and calculated it all out. Once I could see the credit back to my card online, I could see it was not the right amount. So I printed the spreadsheet and took it to the store. The manager explained the the item in question was much more of a discount than I calculated and they were kind to credit back what they did. I asked the manager to discuss it with the owners to see if they could give me the full amount back that I calculated as would be fair - or at least give me store credit for the difference. They said no. The manager would not even talk to me but had a different employee talk to me. I'll drive farther next time I want any furniture. Funny too, if they would have given me store credit I most likely would have spent more money than the store credit. read more

We were browsing the store looking for new living room furniture in leather. Found a set up front that we both loved. Pricey but we really liked it. It's hard to make a decision on something that costly when you really dont need it. It would take over 8 wks to get it . Very nice sales lady, I forgot her name. We had a coupon for the following weekend but they were going to honor it. Decided not to purchase at this time and check out other brands. Bought Rec room furniture several years ago (at least 10) from them and had to return it as the cushion were too flimsy. The manager ask us to come in and order something else, we did and are still using that set today. From my personal experience, this furniture store couldn't care less about it customers. Each time I had questions, I had to find the salesperson, and was made to feel like I was really bothering her and her phone call. From reading the responses to others' complaints, neither does the customer service person M.H. Be smart, spend your money somewhere where people really want your business. This store has a habit of shady business. I ordered custom furniture from them and when it arrived it was defective. They told me I would have to pay more to get it fixed and that they just sell the furniture they don't make it. I talked with the manufacturer of the furniture and was told if Furniture Gallery would contact them they would be happy to fix it, but they had not been notified about any defects. After several months of going to the store to talk with a manager or the owner they agreed to refund the money for the furniture if I returned it. Their delivery people picked up the furniture and once again the run around started again. After another month they sent a partial refund, due to the furniture being defective! I found another local store from the manufacturer's website and order from them. The replacements came in with no problems and the cost was less then Furniture Gallery. read more

We order a chair last fall and were told it would take 12-14 weeks. We decided to order from them rather than Lazy Boy because Lazy Boy said it would be 16 weeks. FIVE MONTHS LATER!!! The chair finally came in after 21 weeks. The store was completely unapologetic and would give no explanation. No customer service. They request that you call ahead when you are picking up - I assumed so they can have everything ready for you. We called an hour ahead and told them exactly when we would get there. When we arrive there was already someone else waiting and we had to wait as their truck was being unloaded in the loading dock. We will never shop there again. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Ordered two wingback chairs from a rep who could've cared less if I shopped in their store. Paid over $2,400 for these chairs. Chairs came in and legs were damaged. Same sales person said that there was nothing she could do for me, as she sat at the counter eating her sandwich. I later called the manager who more or less tried to talk me into the fact that the legs were distressed. (I know the difference between damaged and distressed.) Finally, he gave in and said he would order new ones. 2 phone calls to the store and one email - 5 months, no legs. If you're looking for furniture, go to Annapolis. This "local" store apparently doesn't want or need the business. read more

I had been going to this store for years but will never set foot in there again. I paid up front a year ago for a couch, loveseat and ottoman. When I called to state that I was frustrated with how long it was taking, the manager, Mike, told me that since I was unhappy he would just cancel my order because my furniture was a neutral color and he could sell it for a lot more than I paid a year ago. The contract clearly states No Cancellation and I told him that I did not want to cancel. He laughed at me, hung up on me, and then deposited my money back after they had been earning interest on the money for a year. All I want is for them to honor their contract but they won't talk to me. Don't be fooled by them-- they will say anything to make money off of you. read more

I've had great experiences at this store. In fact, the first time I visited, I was greeted and treated warmly by a gentleman who was extremely helpful. He had to make a run by the time we were finished shopping so he handed us off to another employee. I told him, I wanted him to get the commission because he had been so helpful but he refused; turns out he was the owner. I'm so glad we decided to give this place a shot in spite of the negative reviews. read more

Great quality furniture. Don't let the generic name make you think they have generic furniture. After going through all the lousy furniture stores that Waldorf had to offer, we were really surprised Prince Frederick had this place. Solid, mid- to high-end quality stuff. Heavy wood & well constructed pieces. The sales staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended if you want good quality furniture. If you want cheap, drive to Waldorf. read more

We've been in this store 3 times. The first 2 times no one said hello or offered to help, in fact the second visit we found a woman at the front desk chatting on the phonewith a personal call. I waited 10 mins nearby and she stayed on the phone. Today I wanted to give them another try. Walked in with two sales associates at the front desk, neither greeted me, I walked around the store and once again no one offered to help me. When we went in the show room the customer service was great, very help full staff and the delivery was right when they said it would be. That is where the good news stops. The couch that we got does not sit any thing like what we picked out, the upholstery work is very bad and after a few months of very normal use the the back of the couch has broke. So if you something that will look good and last more than half a year buy some where else. read more

It was such a pleasure to find a store in our own county that had the best prices and even better selection that we could find driving around the entire DMV!!! Make this your first and only stop if your looking for good quality! Also the customer service was Amazing. Never felt pressured and they didn't follow us around like a hawk. read more

This place freakin sucks!!! Terrible service! It's too bad that my husband and I walked around the store for almost 20 minutes...NOT ONE salesperson acknowledged us or much less asked if we needed assistance. They were not busy either...just chatting away at the front desk. We drove a bit of a distance to check them out too. Of course it wasn't until we were leaving and I let them know about themselves...in a "polite" manner that THEN they offered to help. Uhhh...NO THANK YOU!!! Great Selections and prices where on par with other furniture stores in the area. But they have no idea when you will get your furniture, 5 weeks for a sofa. They say it will be i this next week which means Friday of next week. I freecycled my old sofa on they day my new sofa was to be delivered. The old sofa went away and now I am sitting on carpet. We selected the new sofa because I have a bad back. read more

I recently visited this furniture store and was very impressed. First thing i'd like to mention is that I was greeted by a sales person within minutes after i entered the store. Wendy was very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and represented her self well, She was helpful and took the time to show me many recliners. She explained store policy, warranties and the current sale. Although i did not make a purchase that day, i will say it is a great place to check out. There was no sales hype that many chain stores use to lure you into their establishment. This furniture looked to be of very nice quality with nice accent pieces. If you want to furniture shop, give this place a look. It would be worth the trip and your time. read more

The sales rep that I worked with was fantastic and she has been there for 20+ years. They aren't pushy and they don't bug you as you walk around looking which I like. Great experience and I really like that they are a local business. Will be going back when it's time for bedroom furniture. I will say that they are not cheap, so I'm replacing my early twenties Ikea furniture in phases! read more
