Came in today looking for bunk beds for my grandchildren. There were 7 staff members on the floor. We had to go up and ask for assistance. No one offered to help. When an associate was sent over to talk to us, we were informed that nothing was available in store. My daughter and her husband were also looking for a living room chair. They were never approached, but did hear the "huddle " of associates talking trash about another employee. About 10 minutes later, the associate who that told us nothing was available came up and said there was 1 in the clearance section that was available today. He was unaware of it because he didn't know the inventory and a manager had to tell him about it. When I approached the huddle of 5 associates around the mattress counter to inquire about purchasing the mattresses for the beds, they were annoyed about having their conversation being interrupted and the woman that did get up was very rude when showing me the bunk bed mattresses. Needless to say, I left without them. We also had to ask about getting the bed loaded 15 minutes after completing the purchase. Nobody told the people in the back we had purchased it. Worst experience in a furniture store ever. We will never be back. And I really liked a sectional and power recliner that I willingly walked away from due to the staff. The bed would have been walked away from as well if my husband had not already paid for it when I got back from the mattress counter. read more

Buyer Beware. They sold us a defective chair and when my wife went to do an even exchange they refused to exchange. They made her feel so bad and even followed her like she was going to steal something. I tried to work with their Zendesk and feel that as customers the company is just not wanting to make things right and correct this situation with an easy exchange. As a business owner, I would never want any of my customers to walk away feeling the way my wife did when she went back to ask for an even exchange of the chair. It isn't about the money, but more about how everything was handled. Instead of just doing an even exchange and being done with this nightmare they rather throw out good customer service? That is definitely not a good business model for any business and I was hoping I was dealing with someone with some good customer service skills. I moved to Spokane in January and my wife and I bought a Lane red leather couch, ottoman and chair. They delivered and the chair was broken. They replaced it. Same issue, so another chair was sent. It was also defective. New chair ordered. It's October now. Chair number 5 came today. It's defective. They had assured me they would inspect it first. I made three calls asking them to previously inspect it before delivery. They didn't. So I called manager Kyle at the store and he stated they did inspect it. Not true. The box was sealed in the truck. I watched the driver open it. I hate being told lies. It's at the very least unprofessional. Now I'm trying to get a refund. The shows photo is chair number 3. The Lane company will also get a review of shoddy workmanship as well. And my wife has just gotten a promise of a refund and we keep the defective chair in the picture. Warning to anyone buying furniture at this location. Double inspect all deliveries. Save the receipts. A tale of two visits. First visit we worked with Isai and he was absolutely wonderful! Extremely helpful, never pushy, very professional and went the extra mile for us. Our first trip in we were looking for a sturdy desk for my home office as I was transitioning to working from home full time. It was a desk that also had a right hand return area. Isai mentioned both pieces were onsite but he and another employee went to the warehouse area to put their eyes on it and ensure this was accurate (especially given all the supply chain challenges in the furniture industry that have been going on). We made our purchase and the following week they were delivered. We enjoyed working with Isai enough that we went back in to look at a chest of drawers, dresser and night stands we had seen while in there the first time. It was an easy sale as we knew what we wanted. We went in and asked for Isai as HE is the one that provided us such great service that we were motivated to return and use him again..especially since they work on commission. Instead what we got was probably the absolute worst customer experience that can be described from a very abrupt, rude and cut throat employee named "Kent". He simply stated "well, our policy is if that employee isn't working then they don't get the commission". I let Kent know that the reason we returned was because of our positive experience with Isai and we'd like to ensure the commission goes to him. Kent then started to get loud (while other customers were around) and stated "that's not how we do it". I stated "I'm pretty sure with modern technology that there IS a way to provide him the commission that Isai worked hard to earn and if we walked out tonight we would not be back, ever." Kent's response "well, we're not changing how we're doing things just for you. I'll help you but Isai will not be receiving the commission." I then asked for a manager as I mentioned we did not come in to be treated abrasively and rudely by someone. Once I asked for a manager, Kent started to walk off and then returned 3 times to get up in my chest and stated loudly "I don't know who you are, but you're not going to dictate how things are done here! You are the one that's being abrasive!" (Kent was so out of control I was convinced he was going to try to take a swing at me as he kept coming back to get in my face). I was absolutely FLOORED at his behavior.....Kent was more willing to lose customers for life to ensure Isai wouldn't get the commission that night and he would. (Talk about creating a cut throat environment...Furniture Row...it's time you start to focus more on the customer experience than setting your employees up to fight like a school of sharks over each customer relationship! There are a lot of 1 star reviews here that show this!) Side note: I've worked strictly commissions for what I do for a living for 13 years. I've never tried to steal someone else's commission NOR have I had someone else tried to steal one of my clients. Finally an extremely helpful floor supervisor ("BK") stepped in and apologized for Kent's behavior. He made sure the credit for the sale went to Isai though he mentioned it was against "company policy" to do that. The bedroom furniture we ordered had an ETA of April 2022 (6 months out). Unfortunately not uncommon with the current supply chain issues. When we left the store we were still pretty rattled by Kent's behavior and the fact he never apologized for his unprofessional outburst. After a week or so went by the situation continued to not sit well with my wife and I. We decided to visit several other furniture options in the Coeur d'Alene, Hayden and Post Falls area. As a result we found somewhere that we fell in love with, especially their service level. Thanks to "Kent" we will NEVER be back to Furniture Row unless there's a significant change in their policies putting employees in competition with one another for every single penny, especially if a repeat customer specifically mentions who helped them. It's NOT hard to accommodate this reasonable request and improve the ability to have repeat customers. Keeping things as they are now makes the customer experience miserable. Kent is the perfect example of a bitter employee desperate to "make a buck at all costs". If he treats your customers this way I'm highly confident he's a miserable team member putting himself first in every situation. If you want a significantly better level of service....please, go elsewhere. Check out my review for a locally family owned option providing higher quality products, significantly better service and creates a relationship with you vs. seeing you as a "sale". While Isai and BK were wonderful & professional...Furniture Row still only receives "1 star" for our review. I'd rather rate it -10 stars because of how bad our experience was with Kent. I went in to buy a bedroom set. Somehow, I was required to speak to two different sales people because they don't group mattresses with furniture.... Anyhow, my furniture salesman Tony was a great help! He was quick and efficient in getting me financed. The mattress guy just had to finish up the paperwork by adding the mattress in. He did however tell me if I took it with me I would get $25 back, and that didn't turn out to be true. On down the line, I called the store today and spoke with someone named Justin, trying to find my account number so I could register it online. Justin asked me for my social security number, which I won't give out over the phone. He was extremely rude when I told him this, and refused to give the phone to a manager. I went the weekend of blacK Friday. I spoke with the manager. I was interested in a dining set. I ordered chairs from another set and a table. They promised delivery on 12/14. I called the two days before my delivery. They told me they will call me the night before. They never call me. I called a hour later again to find out about my time window for my delivery. Do not buy from here. Multiple damaged deliveries and bad customer service! We ordered a bedroom set in early May I believe and when it was delivered 6 weeks later the dresser was completely destroyed. About two weeks after that in mid May before our delivery we ordered a coffee table when that showed up 8 weeks later with the new dresser the coffee table was damaged. The branch in Spokane valley is not answering the calls after I initially spoke to them letting them know that the table was delivered damaged. We will be requesting a refund on the table and will not be shopping at furniture row ever in the future. Furniture Row was our last stop and we were a little defeated at that point. Blue helped us out and our experience far exceeded our expectations. We found a love seat that would work for what we needed but chose the first rainy day of the summer and needed it wrapped for the drive home. The warehouse guys were gone for the day but Blue didn't hesitate to shrink wrap it himself and personally help us load it. While I understand that most people do not want to feel overwhelmed by salespeople, and I appreciate salespeople standing by and letting us browse we had NO interaction with anyone when we walked in. His first interaction with us was very off-putting and immediately made us want to go elsewhere. Shopping for furniture at Furniture Row, Sofa Mart specifically, was a very good experience. My wife and I were able to shop without a sales-person hovering around us, but when we needed assistance, our sales-person, Justin, was very helpful and friendly. We settled on a sectional that was on clearance because a previous buyer didn't like the color when they got it home, so they traded it in. They wrapped it up and helped me load it into my trailer. When I got it home and moved it into the room, I noticed some small tears and damage to the fabric. This was damage that occurred while it was being moved in, but this was damage to very fragile fabric; something that I wasn't expecting and shouldn't have occurred. We were very careful moving it into the room, and the touches that we did make with the wall, were very minor and just a part of getting a big piece of furniture through halls and doorways. I called the next day and let Justin know what I was seeing, and that this wasn't typical of furniture fabric that I had experience with it (I'm 57 and have more moves under my belt than I care to remember). Justin immediately offered that I was welcome to return it for a full refund. While I was disappointed that we couldn't make this piece work, the experience I had was incredibly positive, and frankly not expected especially since this was a clearance piece. I will definitely be back for other pieces because of my positive experience with a company that stands behind what it sells and works hard to make me happy. read more

For years Furniture Row has been promoting a 5 year "Accident Protection" policy along with the furniture purchases. I purchased a $3,000 leather sofa sectional and the salesperson recommended "accident protection policy" to cover accidental damage. I filed a claim when the leather arm was damaged, tearing the leather to the padding, the claim was denied because the damage was NOT caused by A point-like hole caused by a single, specific incident, going all the way through the fabric or leather to the padding underneath. This policy is administered by the Great White Bottling Company. After Googling, I found both Furniture Row and this company are same owners. The reviews and there were many, were 1 Star due to the same issue, denial of damage claims. The "Accident Protection Polices" are clearly sold through deceptive business practices. I have emailed Furniture Row several times ... no reply. So I am leaving this review and submitting a complaint to the State Department Of Licensing. I would urge anyone who purchased this policy to do the same. read more

On March 3rd, my wife and I went into Furniture Row looking for a dining room set and a living room set. We decided to get couches elsewhere as we did not like the ones at Furniture Row as much, not a big deal, they have a large variety and it's just personal preference. Tony in the dining area helped us with a dining table, chairs and a buffet. GREAT guy, knowledgeable and friendly. No problems here. He also helped us with financing and fully explained our options. Tony was great. We then went to Sofa Mart. Kind weird each department is completely separate but you would hope that means the associates in each section would be more knowledgeable about their products. Anyhow, we picked some tables for our living room, two chairs and an ottoman. The store had told us one of the chairs and the ottoman would take 4 to 6 weeks as they were custom while everything else would take 2 to 4 weeks. They agreed to do two deliveries for the price of one as we live close by and the large range of when items would be in. Breakdown - 1 chair, 4 living room tables, a dining table, a buffet and 6 dining chairs were all supposed to take 2 to 4 weeks. 1 chair and an ottoman were supposed to take 4 to 6 weeks. The date is March 3rd. My wife was pregnant when we went in on March 3rd. On April 10th, our child was born. Earlier that week, one chair from Sofa Mart and all dining room items were delivered. The dining table had minor scratches but nothing we were concerned with, just barely noticeable. We were informed two of the living room tables were in but we wanted to wait until they were all in to make sure we liked the look of them all together. My wife and I got home from the hospital on April 15th as our son had some complications. On April 16th, I called to check on the two remaining tables, chair and ottoman. I was told they were still not in. This is the four week mark, the early end of when the chair and ottoman could be in so I wasn't so worried about it but the tables not being in was somewhat concerning but not a big deal. Two weeks later I called back. Same deal. At this point, I was somewhat frustrated as the chair was two weeks behind schedule and the tables were four weeks behind schedule. The sales rep helping throughout the entire process was very nice and helpful (Justin). I kept in mind it was not HIS fault but it was hard to keep my cool as he asked me to keep checking in every two weeks and that they only hold their guarantees to the earliest ordering customers. So... it's not a guarantee? All in all, after calling over and over and over, we finally got the tables and chair delivered on June 6th, a total of just over 11 weeks, almost twice as long as the chair should've taken. The chair was also delivered with nails (design nails) that we had requested it not have and were told it would not be a problem. Also, no ottoman. I called, spoke to Justin, tried my hardest to keep my cool. The order did state no nails on the chair, not his fault. He offered to replace it but I didn't want to wait another 11 weeks. He gave me a $40 discount. That's 1% of my total order. Granted, this was probably his personal commission on it but it isn't right for the company to mess up and the sales associate who did nothing wrong to pay for it. Justin took my order for the ottoman, claiming he missed it. Human error, it happens, whatever. We actually accrued $150 in member credits so all in all we were getting it cheaper which was cool. He took my order over the phone, saying he would match the fabric of the chair. Today, 6/19, I picked up the ottoman. It was the wrong fabric. It was ordered wrong. This entire process has been the most frustrating customer service experience I have ever had in regards to Sofa Mart. The only reason I'm giving them two stars instead of 1 is Tony in the dining section. I wasted countless time checking up on my order, received the wrong items multiple times, and the only compensation was 1% of my order and probably came from the sales rep, not the store who should be held reliable. read more

First 2 times the server was delivered it was broken coming off the truck and then the third time it was to be delivered they never showed up. The initial issues were resolved after multiple phone calls. The roller coaster of timelines went from the initial purchase of 5-6 weeks to 3.5 months to 3 months and finally, back to the original 5-6 week window. I was told on the phone today before picking up our new couch (hurrah it came and we have it!!) the company sourced it from a different supplier/warehouse after the initial delays. Be proactive when buying a couch from these guys with the communication, they'll work with you to either give you a $ break for a delay or get things moving to get a couch on time as promised. Ordered my bedroom set back in January. First they forgot to include my dresser to be delivered with my bed frame. Upon opening the box to put together my bed frame we discovered it damaged. I called and spoke to a man who said they would have a new head board sent out to my home and my salesman will call me. A week goes by I hear nothing from my salesman and new new head board was supposed to arrive. Had my husband call a second time to inquire about the replacement head board. He was told the deliver should be arriving "tomorrow" and my salesperson would call me.... again no call. About another week and a half goes by I have my husband call. Again a man not my salesman reassured us we should be receiving a phone call from the delivery team with my new head board. That was 2 weeks ago. I have not heard from my sales person since the delivery of my defective head board nor have I received my replacement product. I have been lied to multiple times and fed empty promises. I've stopped by multiple times to narrow down my search for couches, each time I've always been greeted and offered assistance. No pressure, great service all around! I prior was browsing the website to get ideas, it was nice to visit the store to sit on the couch and feel the materials. One piece they didn't have at the store, but offered to kindly order it in, with no pressure to pre-purchase it -as it was a new item they'd like to have even if I didn't buy it. The manager Kyle promptly took down my info and about a week later let me know it arrived, he kept it aside for me to view it before putting it out on the floor. It wasn't quite what I wanted and needed to look further. I found another set at the store that was the perfect dimensions and felt great! I returned another time to look at dining room tables/chairs, they also have great clearance priced items, I couldn't pass up on this set! I walked through the store looking at their chairs and rugs. I did find a rug pad for one of my existing rugs, and it was clearly marked on sale for $25. I took it to the cashier who charged $35 or so for it. I protested and he attempted to get the manager who was busy showing furniture to a customer. After 5 or 10 minutes I walked out. When they put something on sale the price should be already in the register. That is why I quit going to K-Mart many years ago. The prices they charged never matched the prices in the sale flyers. I am taking the time to update my review. If I could I would give them zero stars! 6 mos later and we still have not been given the replacement cushions. We bought the couch and love seat for several reasons: 1) made in the USA 2) warranty on the cushions. The cushions did not hold their shape before the first year was finished with NORMAL usage. 6 mos ago we asked for replacements and have gotten the biggest run around. Different stories every time. Last phone call said they were definitely ordered. The parts to the sofa or made oversees and the sofa is put together in USA so it is NOT MADE IN THE USA. So the foam part of the cushions take 3 weeks to arrive and it's been 6 mos!! Today's call was an offer for some cushions off a couch that a customer didn't want!! Every time it took me calling the manager Kyle, never once did they call me. Every single time I have been cordial and polite even thanking them but after 6 mos of the run around and no calls, I was heated but appropriately so and the manager was argumentative and yet once again said 6 mos was ridiculous! I have given up!! I told them I am done and won't step foot in there store again!! **update 1/24/16 I am updating this review I won't change my number of stars until I see more of an outcome. With that being said some attempts are being made to rectify the cushion problem. They brought out new cushions however they are too wide for the sofa we have. There seems to be a problem with the manufacturer in addition to the above problems I mentioned. The frustration I have is when purchasing this couch and probably anything else in life, when you see the word warranty or guarantee there essentially is no way to do that. In our case the cushions and material to our sofa and maybe even the model in general have been discontinued. So this problem is currently ongoing and I will continue to update as it progresses. Right now I see that some attempts are being made and I look forward to a resolution. I will adjust my star in accordance to a resolution. We are now month 7 and soon to start month 8. read more

I went to Furniture Row in February of 2020 and bought a rug for my living room, a coffee table and a couch. The rug I purchased was the last one they had so they gave me the floor model, which I was told I would get a discount on since it had been "used". I was told to pick up the couch the following day, as they wanted the people in the warehouse to wrap it so it didn't get dirty during transportation. And the table had to be ordered and I was told they would deliver it in about 6 weeks. Not only did I not receive a discount on the rug(not a huge deal), the couch wasn't wrapped when I went to pick it up the following day AND it was raining. 6 weeks later when they delivered the table it was completely broken. We were told they would order us a new one and deliver it. Its been 3 months and I still don't have a new table and they have yet to pick up the broken table, which cannot be used. I have called over 30 times and the one time I was contacted back I was told they would pick it up "next week"(3 weeks ago now) but they never ordered a new one so I would just receive a refund. Interestingly enough, that STILL hasn't happen and its almost June. I know the showroom has been closed due to COVD-19 but they are still doing pick ups and deliveries so there is no excuse!
