Standout quirky decor: where you walk past old electronics and thru a sofa machine to enter. Then the dining area has lanterns and comfy seating. The menu had lots of tasty things to try and to share, the server was excellent and guided us to how much to order and explained the food well. Loved the cocktails, especially the cherry blossom which was fruity and adorable. My only knock on the place is the food was quite salty.

Conflicted! Experience is amazing w retro stuff, entry through a 7up vending machine and name on the screens. Service is friendly and enthusiastic. As others have indicated, food is meh. Miso Goma salad was scant and ok. Truffle siu mai was weirdly over firm. Like compacted meat. Also had dumplings which were ok and rolled noodles w duck which was very good. More duck please. Dinner for 2 w 1 alcoholic Bev and 1 nonalcoholic Bev and tip $125! There are great dining places in YEG. And in my opinion, you can't substitute ambiance for excellent food.

Glad my friend & I checked this place out the final day of EDM Dining Week! Yuuuuummy Thankfully we went as soon as they opened at 5pm because it was 90% reserved & max capacity by 6pm! TIP: make a reservation! They have the bar seating open to walk-ins but it's a coin toss if you can get in I loved the lanterns on the ceiling - reminds me of every lantern festival seen in anime/dramas Nice soft red glow - comfy and intimate setting. The bartender Glaze(?) was lovely in mixing her magic for drinks and serving us she made some pretty neat looking concoctions I'd like to go back and test Edmonton Dining Week Special: $35 DINNER COURSE 1 Cured Atlantic Salmon, Lemongrass Fish Sauce Vinaigrette, Sambal Crema, Fried Shallots, Chinese Doughnut Crostinis (#yum) - so delicate but damn delightful! Donut crostinis - soft yet crunchy, went amazing well with a piece of salmon (And not fishy at all) COURSE 2 XOXO Chow Ho Fun: Flat rice noodles stir-fried with house-made XO sauce, mixed greens, shrimp, and house-made Berkshire pork cha-siu. (So full!) ‍ - they have this meal available but with every other protein option EXCEPT pork (which was one time special for this event) - it was more filling than I initially guessed, and very flavourful; also loved how they served ROLLS of wide flat noodles (cooked to perfection) DESSERT 2 pieces fried mantaos, and spiced coconut condensed milk. (Loved the sauce!) - delicious and nutritious with just the right amount of sweet and touchy of salty DRINK - ordered a Dragonfruit virgin margarita - it was more citrusy this time so I'd like to try sweeter option next time Honourable mention: MAKKU Makgeolli (unfiltered rice beer) mango flavor was mind blowing! - I actually liked the small amount I drank as a test, it's so strangely delightful it barely smells and tastes like mix of beer & sake but more sweet like juice... I can't get over it in my head lol Look forward to coming back again~

You'll have to find parking, likely will cost you a couple bucks. Great spot right in front of the restaurant if you can time it right. My friend and I both found a spot in front Wednesday at 5:30PM (must have been early enough). Only 10% full when we got there but 70% full by 7PM. Epic entrance into the restaurant as you have to go behind the secret door ;) Restrooms are downstairs. We were seated at the bar but there were Many tables available. I got the Cha-Siu Shanghai Noodles. 10/10 but wish there was more vegetables. Pork was very good. Noodles wee 10/10. Sauce wasn't too sweet, sour or rich - just perfect. It said it would come with "daily veg" but I don't recall seeing ANY vegetables at all (maybe some thin cooked cabbage?). Friend got the Crazy Rich Rice Noodles - little too spicy for me. She loved it. We also tried the Fried Man Tao - 4/10. So very greasy, tasted like carnival donuts. Coconut condensed milk sauce tasted like basic coconut cream. Kansai Mess - 10/10 so unique, great combination of flavors and textures. Has everything a good dessert has. Great atmosphere for a fancy get-together, date, or unique night out.

Fu's has been on my must-try list for a long time, ever since I noticed that they were taking over the space on 109th Street that Prairie Fish N Chips had left vacant. The windows were papered with newsprint and signage that said that they would "fix me" and I was beyond curious. Since then, Fu's has done very well for themselves and have moved to a larger location (you thought that they had a lot of lanterns before?) around the corner on Downtown's Jasper Ave. Opening in 2022, less than two short years ago, Fu's has made quite the splash and very well might be the coolest restaurant in town. enRoute magazine nominated them as one of Canada's Best New Restaurants 2022 and EDify Magazine awarded them the Best New Restaurant 2023 spot. Edmonton has always had restaurants but now, more and more, we are seeing entire experiences. Incredibly strong and immersive concepts. Fu's Repair Shop is an example of this, if not the best version. The idea is that the "repair shop" is a front. They'll fix your broken (obsolete?) electronics, you know, like your pager, walkman, 8 track, and VCR. I love this whole thing. You can picture this shop in a Chinatown somewhere. Walking inside, the entrance looks like a small, you guessed it; repair shop. There are piles of electronics and kitsch strewn about and old TVs with static on the screens. And there's a 7UP pop machine... Except it's not a vending machine - it's a secret door! Passing through this door might be one of the most exciting reveals that Edmonton has to offer. Once on the other side the space opens into the most gorgeous dining room, dripping with theme and design. Are you in some back alley speakeasy in Chinatown now? Because yes, you are. The lanterns! Hundreds of them! The ornate xieshan-style bar with neon lights! The kung fu movies being projected on the exposed brick wall! The level of ambiance is unmatched. It's dim, sultry, and there are details everywhere. The music is also amazing, all from the late 90s and early 2000s. It should be noted that no minors are allowed in the restaurant. (Hello date night with no kids!!) I visited on a Saturday evening and once seated I was excited to get a cocktail into my hand ASAP. The program is extensive and perfectly matched to the entire vibe. The Cherry Blossom looked so pretty going by with its flower garnish but I had to pick the Sakura Sour (Tart cherry infused Bacardi white rum, vanilla bean infused Remy VSOP, cardamom syrup, lemon, egg white, and Token cherry bitters - $14.50). The flavours of cherry, vanilla and cardamom sounded incredible and exactly like my kind of drink. It was delicious! This beverage felt sophisticated while still being playful. It wasn't too sweet and the different flavours came through beautifully. I love the fluffy egg white top on a sour and was very pleased with each sip. Other fun things on the drink menu include the FU-BERG which is beer topped with soju slush, a Lucky Teapot of beer for $10, and a great list of non-alcoholic cocktails. The Lychee Rose Tonic is something that I absolutely must order in the future! There's even a "dealers choice" option where you can just let the bar make you something special. I love that Fu's makes a point of supporting local vendors and the Chinatown community in Edmonton. Anything not made in-house is sourced from this community and this only elevates the authenticity of the food and overall experience. We wanted to order a bunch of different things to eat from all parts of the menu! And so that's exactly what we did. Our server was decently okay but I did find her quite disengaged and generally unenthused about answering questions or making recommendations. All of our dishes came out as they were ready and in no particular order. The feast was on! I love the idea of All Night Dim Sum and ordered a bunch of items from this section of the menu. First to arrive was the Chan Bao (In-house golden baked milk buns - $10.88) with Miso Gochujang Butter. Baked in limited quantities each day, I was happy to get my hands, er, mouth on these pillowy, golden pockets. These reminded me of a warm, soft brioche especially with the dusting of fleur de sel on top. But somehow, inside there was a filling of miso gochujang butter that changed the game entirely. One of my favourite things that I ate, these buttery soft bao melted in my mouth and surprised me with flavour and a bit of heat. The bao are also offered in three other types, including a daily feature that rotates. Next to arrive were the Green Onion Cakes (Served with house chili oil - $5.88 for one). This is considered a "side." Being that green onion cakes are maybe the singular most iconic food that Edmonton has to offer, I needed to try the Fu's version. I've written about green onion cakes and Edmonton's love affair with them quite extensively in the past and it's only fitting that Fu's has their own on offer. Like with almost every restaurant green onion cake out there, this version was the fluf

This place is dope. The food is great, the music is amazing, and overall vibe is cool. I'm honestly surprised by some of the low ratings. If you like 90s and 2000s hip hop and king fu, you're going to love this place. Every song is banger. The food is good too, especially the noodle dishes. It's good to share dishes if possible because it's more like a small plates type of place. The cocktails are on point as well. We've been many times and will return many more because the experience is consistently good.

I really liked the concept and the atmosphere of Fu's Repair Shop. They set the tone immediately as you step into a hallway crowded with old sound systems and discarded monitors. You have to swing open the 7up vending machine to enter the main dining room awash in red from the ceiling of Chinese lanterns. The space is pumping with 90s pop songs from the DJ booth and the tables are crowded with patrons. It is a definite vibe. Unfortunately, the food was hit and miss. I got the Lady on the Moon cocktail, which was very coffee forward but lacking complexity of the coconut and sesame that was promised on the profile. The mocktails were reported to be okay but with more ice than flavor. For food, it was recommended we share dishes. We got the Truffle Siu Mai, Har Gow, Duck and Peach Chan Bao, Peachy Shrimp, Duck Tacos, Crazy Rich Rice Noodles and the Beef Chow Ho Fun. The stand out was the Siu Mai which came with an impressive heap of truffle on top and the Peachy Shrimp as the tiger shrimp was truly an impressive size. The duck tacos were interesting, as instead of crispy Peking duck skin, they swapped it out for duck confit which was an interesting fusion take on the dish. The rest was okay, but nothing too memorable to amazing. For some of the prices of the dishes, I expected some more complexity or at least to deliver on the flavor profiles that was promised. Due to a special going on, we happened to order two dishes that gifted us with a free Calamansi Rose Water Mango Pudding. That was good, as calamansi, rose and mango is a new flavor pairing.

This will be without a doubt the coolest restaurant experience you will have in the city of Edmonton this year. If you grew up, as I did, in a certain era of late 70's thru the 80's this place hits all the feels of nostalgia one could hope for. Old school Nintendo's, cam quarters, tv's...it's excellent You go thru the "secret door" which is a 7-UP vending machine and enter this very trendy very red room. Chinese laterns EVERYWHERE! I've never been in a room quite like this...hard to describe but very cool My mission was to try as much as we could possibly eat cause everything was very intruging and sounded delicious. Truffle Sui Mai was probably my least favourite of the night, kinda weird texturally and I'm not sure the truffle worked with the dish, very very earthy Stir Fried pork dumplings were just awesome, looked great tasted great. Duck spiced tacos were nothing short of spectacular. The duck is confited and served as a whole drum and thigh piece which you have to kinda dissect a bit to fill up your taco. Delicious!! Green onion cakes pretty run of the mill but tasty. Excellent chili oil saved it, made for a spicy oily bite. Shanghai noodles were nearly perfect, accompanied with a beautiful Chinese roast pork, wish there was more pork but would order it again. Finished with an excellent version of a Ho Fun which is a thick noodle with with veggies, we added braised beef. The noodles were amazing the beef meh a little tough but ok, really nice dish The service was pretty solid overall, drink orders were taken fairly quickly came equally quickly for how busy the place was. You can get a "lucky pot" of lucky lager for like 11 bucks, pretty good deal for 30oz's. The food hits your table in random order which our gal informed us of before we ordered so it was kind of an interesting way to do things. I really enjoyed myself and would definitely go back Cheers Andy

The restaurant had an amazing ambiance. Our Server Ashley R. was excellent. She went above and beyond to meet our needs. The drinks were great. Their green onion cakes are delicious . The remainder of the dishes like lamb Dan Dan were mediocre, perhaps that was due to pickled taste. Crazy rich rice was interesting. Definitely recommend to try.

This was an amazing, fun restaurant. We had excellent service and the drinks are out of this world. Small plates and dim sum. The food is excellent. Favorites were the fried rice, pork wontons, and soup dumplings. The vibe is so fun and laid back. Beautiful red lanterns adorn the ceiling. Highly recommend.

Lovely lovely spot downtown Edmonton. Super unique drink menu...loved the Lychee Soju slush top off on beers and Salted Egg Yolk Nog. Great atmosphere...I think it's more brightly lit than it used to be? Staff super friendly and attentive. Water was empty BAM it was refilled. Great to see such a unique place in Edmonton. I shall return!

Cool ambience at the new location on Jasper Ave, but that's to be expected. However since everything is bathed in a reddish hue all the dishes also come out in shades of dimly lit red which takes away from the actual appearance of the food ( as seen in the photos). The food is priced high for quantities provided and meant for sharing. Peaches and shrimp was nice but portions small. Duck taco was disappointing since the quantity of duck changed form 2 legs at previous location to now only 1 for the same price I believe. Miso Goma Salad was just okay as was the Chow Ho Fun. For drinks I ordered a virgin mango lassi - it was good. My friends enjoyed their drinks as well. All in all a good place to try once but I'd hesitate to go back again for the food.

Unfortunately I would say this restaurant is extremely overrated which is unfortunate. This place has the potential to be the coolest restaurant in edmonton but it's lacking so many key contributions. When you enter fu's it's so intriguing and mysterious feeling and then you enter through a 7up machine. Like how frickin cool is that. These people have seriously nailed the ambiance it's a 10/10. We had the spiked mango lassi and the butterfly cocktail and the drinks were good, unusual flavours but worked well together. The service wasn't great. A girl grabbed our drink order after 10 minutes then a different girl told us she was taking care of us. She had rang in our order and the only time we saw our server was during the first dish 1/5 came out. She never came back to ask us how the rest of the food was or if we wanted more to drink. The food.. this is where the review really falls. I would describe the food as like a small hole in the wall with mediocre food after the bar at 2am. We tried the stir fried pork dumplings which were just ok.. nothing special they taste like the frozen ones you buy and make at home. The green onion cakes were just sliced onion cakes slightly warmed with chili oil, again nothing special not homemade tasting or fresh just warmed. The shrimp and peaches were good. Definitely the star of the meal. The Shanghai noodles with cha-siu - unbelievably salty.. the cha-siu was like beef jerky. So tough and hard to get through with the noodles. We were most excited about the bao dish but again another extreme let down. They use a milk bun instead of bao buns which is a let down. Tonight's bao buns were done with beef and carrots she said which the beef was soft but they could be so good but miss so many stops. This would be a one and done for me. I can't say I'd be back unless they did and entire menu change. Disappointing because this is a very cool place.

We ordered salt and pepper crab. The server advise that the market price for crab was $48per/lbs. The server brought the 2.5lb crab live to show us. When the crab was brought out looked and said ain't NOWAY this crab is 2lbs. Maybe a little over 1lb. I asked to speak to the server or the manager in duty. I took the pic of coarse. Server said that the kitchen may have took the wrong crab . She would adjust the price afterward. When the bill arrived NO adjustment was made. When the bill arrived they never mention the adjustment, charged $97 for crab. We asked to speak to the manager, after more than 5mins and us paying the bill. The manager arrive, he was sorry that the bill wasn't adjusted. We accepted his apologies. I expressed my opinion of his establishment. I told him that it bad practice to do bait and switch of the crab. Overall its bad business to do this to customers first timer or regulars I'm for sure NEVER ever gonna dine at the establishment.

With renewed appreciation for the city's Chinatown and innovators like Fu's on the scene, people are taking notice in a delicious way. My stomach is very pleased to be a part of this renaissance and reframing of Asian fare in Edmonton. I bet you didn't know that we have soup dumplings in town - and I mean really good ones. Named Favourite Dish on the Edmonton Food Faves We Crave 2022 and 2024 lists, this was a dish that I absolutely needed to try. Visiting on a dark and cold Saturday evening, we made the trek out to Dominion Industrial, unsurprisingly not a part of the city that I often frequent. By now you know that I am always happy to venture around for food! The outside of the restaurant is very unassuming and you might even miss it if you don't know what you're looking for. Keep an eye out for the red awning and you'll know that you've found the right place. There's parking around the side and back of the building. Entering through the door and walking into the space, I was immediately struck by a wave of tantalizing hot and sour aromas. A friendly staff member guided us to a table in the decently-sized dining room and I began to take everything in. The room is somewhat modest but maybe a little futuristic with chrome-topped tables and matching chairs. Huge round tables are outfitted with big rotating trays in the center, waiting to accommodate large groups. I liked that each place setting was ready with a bowl, soup spoon, teacup, and chop sticks. A picture of the Shanghai city skyline decorates the wall. Circling back to the staff, we were served by two different women during our visit and both were absolutely lovely. Incredibly warm, friendly, attentive, and helpful. The menu is quite extensive and they were happy to answer all of our questions and made useful recommendations. They really elevated our visit! Upon sitting down we were delivered the customary pot of jasmine green tea - very welcome due to the frigid temperature outside. The warm sips were an ideal way to defrost while creating a plan for our feast. Shanghai 456 is known for their soup dumplings but they serve a whole lot more. The menu is really big and it took a little while for us to decide all of the different dishes that we wanted to try. We got there eventually but not without some effort! Once the order was placed the various plates began to arrive in no particular order. The feast had begun! We thought that a noodle dish would be a good "base" for the meal. I liked the sound of the Shanghai style smoked fish noodle but was informed that it was served as a soup. Soup is harder to share among a group so instead we went with the Shanghai Noodle Sautéed with Pork and Vegetables ($16.95). The ample portion of wok-fried noodles was served hot and delicious. Each tender and thick noodle was bathed in a tasty and savoury sauce. The cabbage within the dish added a nice fresh crunch and the thin strips of pork helped to round out the plate. These noodles were easy to eat and very satisfying. After that, we leaned into the Shanghai Dim Sum part of the menu hard - all remaining dishes came from this part of the menu, arguably what the restaurant is most known for. So much to choose from and so many plates that caught my eye! Next to arrive was the Sticky Rice Roll with Chinese Long Donut and Dried Pork Floss ($7.95). I was too intrigued by the idea of this dish to not try it. It arrived looking kind of like a sushi roll but that was the beginning and the end of the similarity. I'm a huge fan of Chinese long donuts (you can get the best ones in Edmonton at Shan Shan Bakery in Chinatown) so I was really curious to find out how this would work within a rice roll. Turns out, it works really well! A wonderful combination of sweet and savoury combined with some really interesting textural elements from the sticky rice to the crispy donut to the dry shards of pork. I've never tried anything like this before and it was fun to eat! Then it was time for the traditional Chinese broth-filled dumplings! Otherwise known as xiao long bao (or XLB if you're extra cool). "Xiao long" refers to the bamboo steaming basket which they are prepared in, while "bao" means bun and refers to the dumpling itself. They can be made with all sorts of different fillings on the inside. There is also a specific way for them to be eaten - you don't just start tossing them into your mouth (although I'm sure that no one would be mad if you did). The little ritual involved in eating the bao adds to the special experience. You are meant to lift the dumpling from its top with chopsticks and place it into your spoon. Then you poke a hole into the bottom of the bao to release the hot broth. There is soup inside of each dumpling! First you drink the hot broth out of the spoon and then you enjoy the rest o

Even if we weren't ordering off the special menu, you can just check off of the boxes in the sheets provided. For being a weekday, it had a steady flow of people who all seemed to be regulars. Food came out fast and hot. All of it was delicious. I really can't pick a favourite. The dumplings were well made and stuffed full of tasty meat, the chow mein was perfectly cooked - simple but good, and the fried rice was a huge helping. We were both full but kept eating because it was so delicious. Try it!

If you're looking at cooking your own dim sum at home that tastes just as good as the restaurant or making some fresh noodle dishes - this is the place to go! They're very accommodating and friendly and can even offer advice on other things to try. I had curiously wanted to try their fresh shanghai noodles and was told I should try some when I was eyeing it. Without missing a beat they offered a pack for free for me to try. Definitely have gone back and bought more! Tips: Don't steam any of the dim sum in a regular stainless steel steamer. Get a proper bamboo steamer (I found some from TNT for a decent price) - and do not get the small sized ones you see at the dim sum places, pick up the large 20cm or wider ones and get a pot that can hold them (I use a wide 29 cm pot from Canadian tire and rest the bamboo steamers on top the matching bamboo steamer sits perfectly and can hold about 50 pieces of siu-my). They close early so the chances of you getting what you want (if it's a popular item) are slim - it's definitely best to call in your order the day before to ensure they can make enough, sooner if it's around Christmas time. See picture for available dim sum you can order (note it's all frozen and is intended to be steamed from frozen)

I live in a part of the city where there is a huge gap in the market, not considered part of the south because of proximity to the river, but too far south to be considered central, so the number of places that will deliver to my home is extremely limited. However, Dynasty delivers anywhere in the city and that is a big plus in our books given the current circumstances. Ordering is easy, even if you don't speak cantonese. If you prefer to order in English, you can text your order or call the cell phone. While phoning the restaurant's mainline, depends on who is available to answer the phone for the day. They have a bunch of great promos going on that change from time to time, but currently, it's 20% off their entire menu and if you spend over $45, you also get to select a rice or noodle dish (from 4 options) for free. And delivery is free. While the take out menu is redacted and not the full menu, I think most of the popular items are available, so you should be able to find what you are looking for! The food always comes fresh and packed nicely, each in it's own respective container, and plenty of sauce as well. If you want extra you can probably ask for more, but usually what they provide is enough for us. Their pricing is really great value and you get a generous portion of food for the price. The only downside is there is no option to pay in advance, so you pay upon delivery and they have mobile merchant terminal, so paying with credit card/debit is possible, and I would imagine preferred as that would be the more contact less way to pay.

I've driven by Golden Rice Bowl thousands of times and somehow it has always been a restaurant that…read morehas eluded me. Well no more! I finally made my way to this iconic Calgary Trail North spot that is beloved for dim sum on a Saturday evening and was excited to sample all of their small plates! In fact, the Edmonton Journal named Golden Rice Bowl as the Best/Favourite Dim Sum Restaurant 2020, 2022, and 2023. It was high time that I experienced it for myself! You'll find Golden Rice Bowl in a strip mall-style plaza that is full of various businesses and yes, if you've been an Edmontonian for any amount of time, you've driven by regularly. The restaurant looks large from the outside with huge red lettering alerting passersby to the dim sum within. The inside is just as expansive, boasting a huge open dining area. I noticed that they have various partitions and the ability to section off parts of the room if needed - likely for private events. As with many Chinese restaurants, you are immediately greeted by a sizable (and very clean!) aquarium filled with beautiful tropical fish. However, I was even more impressed by the aquariums at the very back of the restaurant - these ones filled with live fish and seafood for the kitchen. It doesn't get much fresher than that! The room is ornate but not overdone. Bright red paint on the walls is accented by golden decor items such as gilded dragons with glowing eyes. The ceiling drips with crystal chandeliers and the space is filled with a sea of tables in various sizes. This is the type of place where large generational families come to gather, sitting around huge round tables with a signature lazy susan in the center of each one. Once seated we were served a pot of Chinese Tea ($1.50 each) and began to peruse the menu. (No, the tea was not included.) I liked that all of the dishware was matching, from the teapot to the bowls. Golden Rice Bowl is known for their dim sum but they also boast a complete and extensive menu of general Chinese food. There's a lot to choose from! However, on my visit the plan was to stick to the dim sum menu only, which is available all day long (even though it is traditionally eaten as brunch). Originating in the south of China, dim sum features a wide variety of small, bite-sized dishes typically served in steamer baskets or on small plates. It's pretty similar to the Spanish concept of tapas. Many dim sum restaurants use trolley carts to parade their offerings around, however a more modern practice is to provide guests with a checklist menu that you fill out and hand back to your server. Golden Rice Bowl does neither of these things and the server simply writes down your order in typical fashion. The dim sum menu is two pages long and offers over fifty items! Some of the dishes were larger, family-style plates which makes sense to round out the meal especially at dinnertime. The only issue is that there are no prices listed on the dim sum menu so you sort of just have to hope for the best? Our feast began with an order of Wor Wonton Soup ($29.95). At first we assumed the this would be served as single servings but the server pointed out that it would come as one big soup to share. Very glad that he clarified this! I was very impressed by our gracious and attentive server who portioned the bowls of soup for each of us at our table. Giant in size, this was much more than a basic wonton soup with a couple of dumplings floating around! This flavourful version was packed full with big pieces of chicken, pork, and shrimp. Plus tons of vegetables, and yes, of course wonton dumplings containing a meaty filling. Every ingredient was bright and fresh and I was glad to get some veggies into the meal because dim sum can be quite a "brown dinner." The other larger dish that we ordered was the Ginger Beef ($29.95), a dish invented in Calgary with an interesting history. Certainly not traditional, ginger beef is a quintessential Canadian Chinese dish that was invented in the 1970s. Deep fried strips of beef are coated in a dark, sweet sauce and it's quite delicious. The tanginess of the sauce is so addictive and the texture of the beef is satisfying. The version at GRB is quite good, however the best ginger beef that I've ever tasted was at Emerald Garden Restaurant in Calgary. Then it was time for the actual dim sum! Little plates incoming!! We really wanted to try the Pan Fried Taro Root with Pork Sausage but were unfortunately informed that they did not have any available. Our server suggested the Pan Fried Chinese Turnip with Pork Sausage ($7.95) instead, which did look somewhat similar. (The fact that the dim sum menu shows images of every item is very helpful!) Unfortunately, this turned out to be the least favourite dish of the night just because the texture was really challenging. These cakes were extremely soft and mushy. I actually did enjoy the flavour of the turnip and sausage but the mushiness was a bit too difficult to get around.
