I requested a refrigerator service because my side-by-side refrigerator was not holding temperature on the refrigerator side. Eugene did a thorough investigation and he discovered that a panel in the freezer was not manufactured correctly and causing the problem which he solved by cleaning up the panel and applying some refrigeration tape to smooth out the channels for the air to flow through . since he completed the repair the refrigerator has been working perfectly. They had some very positive ratings, so I scheduled with them to have my wine refrigerator looked at, as the cooling unit had stopped working. Their Senior Technician named Dan showed up right on time at the beginning of the 2-hour window they offered me. He diagnosed the issue very quickly and had the unit working again the same day, and at minimal expense to me. Had the issue been more serious (or costly), I'm very confident Dan would've figured it out with the same degree of knowledge and professionalism. I needed a new air conditioner condenser. I went for almost two years with out one. I had made appointments with 3 HVAC companies asking for quotes. First company told me I needed a new heater, new ducts under the house and also in the attic. The second company wasn't interested in doing the work. I hired Fuse HVAC through the app Thumbtack to repair my 82 year-old grandmother's refrigerator on May 3rd. They found that the two fans that, from what I understood, blow the cold air from the freezer up to the refrigerator had died. They said they replaced them, charged me close to $500.00 and said they would be back the next day to check on it. They never came back the next day and I ended up having to call them to come back out nine days later on May 12th because the fans were making a really loud noise. The technician "fixed" the problem and the noise seemed to be gone. Weeks later, the refrigerator is hot again, same as the original issue. So of course I call them very frustrated because I just paid them $500 to fix this exact problem. They sent a technician out and said the fans had failed again. At that point, I requested a refund, which Helen assured me that they would get out to me. I had explained to her that we paid via check and asked how would we receive that refund. She told me she would get back to me with that info, but reassured me that I would be getting the refund. I waited 10 days, and Helen never got back to me nor did I receive any sort of refund. I finally found a direct number to their office and was able to speak to Helen earlier this week. She claimed that she had been on vacation and someone else was supposed to send me the check, but they must not have followed through with it. She assured me she'll get back to me about either someone dropping off a check or for me to collect it from them. Of course she has not gotten back to me. I've already had to fork out another $800 to buy a new fridge for my poor grandmother. Now we are out $1300.00. What kind of people steal $500 from an 82 year-old woman, and more so after they promised to give it back because they failed to satisfactorily complete a job that I paid them for. It's simple, you were not able to fix it, so give my money back! My next step is to file a small claim this week because these people are clearly liars and thieves and it's been 2 weeks of waiting. I cannot say enough good things about FUSE electrical and appliance repair. In the space of two weeks I needed to call them twice. Once for my dryer and once for my refrigerator. I called to have someone look at my dryer. They had someone at my house within an hour and a half. They charged a $75 service fee which they applied to the repair and there were no other charges. Eugene came immediately. He got right to work and the dryer was fixed within an hour or so. I called about my refrigerator the following week and they sent Jason the next day. He determined the problem and ordered the part on Friday. I was notified the part was in on Monday and Jason was available to finish the repair the same day. I'm leaving one star simply to get your attention. I can change it if the right thing happens. My dishwasher's issue only occurred when your technician came to fix the initial issue. You're asking me to pay another diagnostic fee, when the "new issue" occurred only after and immediately after your technician did work. Please do the right thing here and fix this. Although we had to wait one week in-between the diagnosis and the part arriving. We understood that is the process and the labor fee of $220 + parts seemed market-fair. You've been professional thus far with all 3 visits. Please do the right thing here and our rating can change. Edit: From 1 to 4 stars. Couldn't give a perfect 5 because of logistical reasons but other than the hard facts they were professional. A bit if a language barrier but bearable. What a strange interaction with this company. I had a failing HVAC system and needed help. So, the good part is that they sent a technician to look at my HVAC system the same day. Fantastic. I thought I might just be lucky. The diagnostic fee was quoted as $99, but I pointed out the lower advertised rate on Yelp, which they needed to confirm, which they then did via separate text. I received clear updates on when my tech would arrive via text. The tech arrived on time. I showed him the unit, and he came out just a few minutes later and said I had a bad part. He said they might be able to get the part under warranty, and the office would contact me. Great I thought, we are on our way! This is where things went downhill. No follow-up from the office. So I reached out to the number I had gotten the text from and someone answered and just said "hello" which was strange but I said "is this Fuse? I am looking for an update on my system" and they said they would check and get back to me Well here we are a full week later, I have followed up 3 times in total. Each time they tell me they will get back to me soon with an update, and I never get an update. All I wanted was a time estimate to do the fix, and a cost estimate. I never got any of that. If you live in the Napa area and require electrical, HVAC, or appliance service, you will be making a big mistake if you don't call Fuse first. During our quarter century livng in Napa, we have had many occasions to use a number of their competitors, and have generally enjoyed very good results. But a few years ago, after being advised that we would have to tear out our countertop granite in order to remove a defunct dishwasher, we happened to call Fuse, and their guiys got the unit out, and put the new one in, without breaking a sweat (well, yeah I think some sweat may have been involved). We recently had our fifth or sixth service call by Fuse, to replace one of our furnace units. As usual, they were fantastic. And their prices are a bargain. It seems that all of their workers are Russian, so there may be a little difficulty in communication, but they all seem to understand that that is their burden to carry, not ours, so they make sure that you have understanding of what needs to be done. We have been very pleased with Fuse!! We have used them twice now and I plan to use them whenever we have a need for HVAC, water heater, etc. Recently our furnace went out and (if you can believe it) they answered the phone on a Sunday and sent a technician out the very next day. Turns out we needed a new furnace (old one was 31 years old). They sent me a reasonable electronic estimate the same day. Approved and quick scheduling...everything working perfectly now. Previously they did some much needed duct work replacement under our house. Note: Some of the estimates I got for this work was crazy; Fuse did this work at a very reasonable cost. I worked with Max for the work we've done so far. Couldn't be happier. He's easy to work with, knowledgeable, and able talk through the job with the wisdom and opinions that help the customer with decisions. Great guy! Very accessible! I'd give 6 stars if I could! This is my recommendation in the strongest terms possible! We suddenly found ourselves in the stressful situation of a warm fridge and freezer (absolutely filled with food). In addition to the worry of wasting all that food, we also winced at the prospect of a $4000 new fridge purchase, and the logistics that come with that. Fortunately, we called Fuse and they got Matt out to us *same day!!* Actually in ~3 hours. Fuse gives you a time range when the technician will arrive, what he looks like (for safety/ID purposes), and a real-time map(!) of where the technician is so you can accurately anticipate the arrival. All this through text messages, which is so convenient. When Matt arrived, no fuss, no small talk-- he got straight to work. Soon after, he gave us an assessment of what he suspects are the issues, what he was able to fix already, and what we will need to do in order to complete the repair. Within 4 hours of calling Fuse, we already had a diagnosis and game plan! So awesome. For a replacement part that we needed, they told me the price, asked if it was OK, and ordered ASAP. It arrived in a day, and 48 hours after the initial call I had both a working fridge and freezer!! Stoked! So stoked that I asked Matt on his way out if he'd know how to fix an induction stove. This time, I already had what I think were the replacement parts needed for the fix. Matt returned at 11am the next morning, and fixed the stove too! He did his best to use the materials I had, and didn't push any parts by convincing me my materials were insufficient for some reason. In all these services, Matt was clean, efficient, kind. *Never* condescending and *always* patient in his explanations. He also makes things look dang easy!
