Last minute dinner ideas landed me at Fushing Chinese Restaurant in Harrisburg, NC. Quick review.......the fried rice wasn't drenched in grease....which is a plus. The wings had that first bite crunch and were fresh out the fryer. The shrimp egg roll was the icing on the cake, packed with a lot of egg roll filling. Food made to order! Service was friendly and prompt. Ambience is casual and great for lunch time. I ordered the lunch General Tso Chicken with vegetable fried rice(was not a fan if the large pieces of broccoli in rice) but it was good. Ordered a spring roll and it was crisp on the outside a flavorful on the inside with hints of curry. I loved the fried chicken wings!!! It is a must and thank me later! read more

First off sanitation score is 94.5. I wish I'd known before, but I'm assuming since this location is unclaimed the score is not posted in the app. But I was there so I figured I'd give it a try being I was craving Chinese food. The guy that takes orders is not welcoming/friendly so the experience did not start well. As for the food we ordered General Tso chicken, scallions chicken, sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was cooked ok, but the sauces are definitely not it seriously! Please don't waste your time unless you just want to say you've eaten. Our first option is closed on Sunday so went out of the way to try and am disappointed. For previous reviews that stated this place is good I'll assume the cooks have changed cause ain't no way! Do yourself a favor and keep it moving. If you choose to say whatever I'll try it anyway, at least come back and give me a thumbs up on this review because I will be right unless you haven't rally had good Chinese food or something is up with your taste buds. Another gem hidden right under my nose! Lived here eight years not even once was I tempted to try this place. Why, you ask? Because it's a Chinese Restaurant in North Carolina and so far that experience has been nothing but NASTY! Yep, after growing up eating Chinese food at least once a week I gave it up after eating it down here. In fact, the last chinese food I ate from a to remain nameless restaurant, I ended up puking back up after the first bite. Well, I've picked up deliveries here frequently and decided to ask a patron leaving the restaurant was it any good? I mean it smelled clean everytime I entered so I thought it was worth the ask. He said he was from NY and eats here several times a week. That was enough for me to at least try. So glad I did! Started off with the basic, sweet and sour chicken. Tasted delicious AND like chicken! Only thing I missed was a few veggies, pineapple and cherry but everywhere can't be Detroit. This was close enough. And the egg roll! Yep, been missing this quality! I loved the Egg Foo Young. It tasted exactly as I remembered from childhood. I am so happy to be able to add this to my Friday night rotation. I'd like to think of this Chinese place as a hidden Harrisburg spot. The staff here is very friendly and willing to accommodate any kind of dietary restrictions you may have. They are tops because of their lunch special pricing. All of your Chinese food favorites are served from 11-3 (Saturdays too!) at the low price of $5.55 (plus tax). I normally love this place but I just went there and placed a large order for my family. I should have checked the order before leaving as my meal only had 3 chicken wings, when it should have 4. They allowed a lot of people in the lobby area and with a baby at home, I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. I do not think I would be going back there. read more

Recently moved to Harrisburg and there are not a lot of restaurant options compared to our previous neighborhood. Yesterday I didn't get to eat lunch at work and was hangry by the time I pulled into my driveway and had a taste for Chinese food. Opened the Yelp app and just about decided against all the nearby options b/c I wanted something good to eat... but I wanted something quickly. I decided to give Fu Shing a try. 1- restaurant looked and smelled clean 2- great customer service... not just for me but everyone that came in 3- I enjoyed my food I don't usually write this much in my review but the reviews I read almost deterred me from trying Fu Shing and I really think it's worth the try. Everyone's taste pallet is different... it's not gourmet Chinese, but it's good Chinese take out. We ordered General Tso chicken and chicken fried rice and enjoyed both. I plan on trying some of our other favorite Chinese dishes on our next visit. read more

This has been my family's go-to Chinese takeout for years. The food and the service is consistently excellent. It's always hot, made quickly, and they get it right every time. I would give zero stars if I could! Please check your order prior to leaving because they will accuse you of trying to get extra food for free. We were missing an order of sesame chicken. I called back and the lady was nice and apologetic of the discrepancy. However, when my husband returned to get it, the male was a complete jerk and was adamant that he put it in the bag and told my husband, "I know I gave it to you but I'll give you another one for free". We love this little Chinese restaurant. We buy takeout from FuShing regularly because it's been consistently good. A friend recommended it and we've been getting our Chinese food from there and not our regular spot ever since. We've had their chicken with broccoli, chicken with garlic sauce, lo mein, chicken wings, boneless ribs, wontons and pepper steak. I've been happy with all of these. I called the place back to let them know and the woman argued that we ordered sesame chicken. How I know we didn't because it was for my son who hates sesame!! When it comes to Asian food, I'm more of a Japanese or Thai kind of girl, so the only reason I pursue Chinese food is for the egg drop soup and spring rolls. Actually not bad at all. EXCEPT for the fact that the D29 dinner combo for chicken, beef, and shrimp has a 2 SHRIMP MAXIMUM. Hopefully, no MSG. Not detecting any so far. The interaction was typical Chinese aboriginal American congeniality, i.e., nice enough to get the money. There was flavor as far as Americanized Chinese food goes as it is what it is. Yes, I would eat there again..... I think. Not all are good, not all are bad. It's just good ones in Charlotte are scavenger hunts. The best Chinese I've ever had was in Spain because the quality of food is superior and the it tasted clean but with flavor that wouldbring tears to the eyes. The FuShing establishment was clean, had up the proper plandemic protocals for the public distancing, and the food was packaged in some decent plastic containers that I can start my ginger and garlic growing. My other gripe aside from the 2 shrimp maximum is that it is nowhere near my neck of the woods. I would 1/2 a 4th start but I'm being petry for the petty amount of shrimp where I paid full price. On 16 Sep 2018, I ate at Fushing and ordered sesame chicken. After eating not even a quarter of my meal, I bit down into something rock solid. I honestly couldnt make out what it was. I took the food to the counter and showed them what I found. He told me that it was chicken...it was just fried hard. Now I can't say exactly what it was but it was NOT chicken. I told them I didn't care to finish the meal a...nd requested a refund since I had barely eaten any of it. He seemed surprised that I was asking and again tried to tell me it was just chicken. When I again requested a refund he gave it to me but basically threw the money on the counter instead of placing it in my outstretched hand. I told him that it was terribly rude and he could have given me my money in my hand. No apology was given. He walked off and threw the food away without another word. Not only did I have a foreign object in my food but they were completely unapologetic and downright rude to ME instead. Never again. Go somewhere else and save yourself some trouble. read more
